A boy sat on a branch, leaning against the trunk of the tree. It wasn't a high up branch, but high enough. In his hand he held a book, new and almost shiny trim on the spine of it. He had his face shielded by the book, obviously deep in thought. He read in a low whisper, and not in his head or out-load.

She looked around, the forest felt deserted, she decided to head back inside.

A frown was upon her lips as Jessica walked into the forest. She was unsure of why she had wandered off there considering her last experience there hadn't been all that lovely. However, she wasn't in the best mood. Katherine had run off to Ace being an a**, therefore making it so Jessica herself left too. I shouldn't have left Carter... Oh well, I'll catch up with him later... Jessica thought to herself as a sigh fell from her lips.

The boy's ear twitched as he heard footsteps. He jumped down and looked around."Hello? Anyone there?" He called, and leaned against the tree he was sitting on.

Jessica jumped once the boy appeared from seemingly nowhere. She was not only surprised by his presence, but also the fact she hadn't realized he was there. Obviously she wasn't paying attention.
"Um yea." She replied, walking over towards the boy, now a bit curious.

He looked at the girl, and turned in her direction."Oh, I thought I heard footsteps. Thought my brain was just messing with me. He said, his face still without any real special emotion.

"So what are you crazy?" Jessica questioned him a bit skeptically, her usual bubbly demeanor being a bit snippy due to her current mood.

He raised a brow."Depends on what your meaning of crazy is." He told her, a slight chuckle at his reply. He then studied her and wandered something."I'm surprised you don't know who I am. Or recognized me. Or technically my brother."

Jessica laughed aloud, her bright smile finally appearing on her lips as she heard those words. "You heard about me?" She questioned the boy, a glint in her eyes. She knew she might as well try to ignore the Ace situation for the time being. Besides, making new friends wasn't a bad thing. "I'm pretty good at being difficult."
