"Really..." Kiri answered with a faint smile. She looked at Zephel, her eyes had that porcelin look to them, though she wasn't doing anything. She locked eyes with him by mistake. Now, she was looking into his eyes. Her face heated up as a blush began to form its way on her cheeks. She was not used to having people that close to her face. "uh..." Her voice was quiet. What's happening?

Hedoro followed along as Nika led the way. She kept an eye on her surroundings, since she hadn't been this way before. If worse came to worse, and she had to return by herself, she had better remember the pathway.
Finally, they came to a large lake. It was beautiful, the sun shone down on it, twinkling across it's pristine surface. There were trees all along it's edge, much like any other lake, but most of these trees were growing very vigorously, much finer than everyday trees. All in all, it was a beautiful scene. She listened quietly as Nika talked, paying attention to everything she said. Finally, she replied after waiting a moment to gather her thoughts.
Indeed, it is beautiful, I'm glad you brought me.
Hedoro hesitated a moment before continuing.
Are you sure you want to see? Once you see what I look like, there's no going back. Do you wish to gamble upon the happiness we both feel right now?

Hedoro could feel her heart (or rather core, she kept forgetting she didn't really have a heart) tighten and warm, Nika was just so forward it was hard not to go along with what she said. She seemed so innocent and pure, just liek one of the lillies she peered at at the water's edge.
Sighing, she nodded curtly, and started to pull of her disguise. Just the face, that would be enough to see what Nika's reaction would be. The scarf floated lazily to the ground, the shades were tucked in a pocket, the hat was removed, and soon her face stood bare, for the first real exposed moment in over two years.
Her substance was a turquoise-teal color, translucent enough that you could almost see through her, her features were unlined, just protrusions and recesses forming a face. One thing on her side was no matter how old she got, she'd never have wrinkles. Her eyes were the same, distinguishable only by a slight change in hue, they were barely darker than the rest of her. Her hair was the same, merely more of her substance shaped into a long hairdo that now was free to trail down her back, just past her waist. She returned her vocal chords to normal, and spoke once more.
Well, here I am. Disappointed?

Hedoro had expected that. That look of fear and shock, she'd seen it plenty of times before. Next, Nika would undoubtedly get that faraway look in her eyes, already trying to put distance between them, and she'd find some reason to go away. Wait... She wasn't going away, she was... hugging her? Hedoro looked down, Nika had her arms wrapped tightly around her.
Could it be? She doesn't hate me? she thought to herself as Nika released the hug and straightened her jacket. She'd had to loosen it to remove her scarf, it had stayed that way, the jacket sliding off her shoulders somewhat. She could feel Nika rest her head against her back, and it broke the dam that had been withholding Hedoro's emotions all this time. She couldn't cry, but if she could, she would have. Tears of happiness. She tried to calm herself, but these emotions were strong and unruly now that they'd been freed.
So you... don't hate me? Don't think... I'm disgusting?
Feeling impulsive, all the emotions spurring her on, she moved slightly away from Nika and turned to face her. Grabbing ahold of her shoulders, she drew close, and planted a kiss on her pert little lips. Nika would likely think it cold, not the act, but Hedoro's lips themselves, but she had to release some of the emotions she was feeling, and this was the first thought that came to her.
