*pictures groups of flailing 17 year olds instead* Still...ouch....that is the one case where it might be easier to be small...keep yourself at a lower and easier center of gravity...

Sept they hada walk to make the bottom of their kimono's flutter. All graceful like, make it look like they be floatin' 'en all.

More luck to them then. But how does it make their kimonos flutter? You mean just the hems and sleeves? I wonder how much white paint they went through in one day.... xp

They use serious amounts of makeup! I was wondering more along the lines of how do they keep from breaking out after wearing so much makeup?

I mean the bottoms, they make the bottoms flutter. Ya, the hem's I suppose.
And it wasn't really white paint. XD more of a cream made of various things. At one point in the book Chiyo says she puts dove droppings into the mixture in Hatsumomo's room, and then she says that she didn't know it then but the stuff used to be made out of bird droppings!
But yup alot i'm sure. eek

Pynk Chan They use serious amounts of makeup! I was wondering more along the lines of how do they keep from breaking out after wearing so much makeup? I imagine they...put on more make up? lol Good question, but they probably washed up very very nicely and then cleaned their skin or something.

They certainly ate healthier...didn't have nearly as much junk food as we do now. And I wouldn't be surprised to know the exercise helped. But the breaking out thing IS a good question...maybe they just got really immune after a while?

Hum I don't know, I can't get immune to regular makeup right now!
Of course, it may be made of ingredients that are more skin friendly anyway.
