So my job tried to call me in early today. I am already scheduled for an 8 hour day but they were hoping I would make it a 10 hour day. I have no mid-shifters, and 2 new closers. 1 closer I am not fond of, she has an attitude and is one of those people that does the bare minimal of what is required. My other closer that is more experienced called out AGAIN. She has been calling out like once a month for the last 3 or 4 months. It seems it is always Friday, Saturday, or Sunday and always a day I am closing. 2 of my midshifters that were scheduled now work in different departments. My other midshifter called out. She has been threatening to call out all week. So no surprise there. She is another one who has taken to calling out at least once a month. Funny since we only have 2 full time cashiers and they are both the ones who call out regularly.
So my night is going to suck! Then I get to come home, try to force myself to go straight to bed and be up in the morning to work a 8.5 shift tomorrow. Which then I have to bus it home from since my husband is working his second job tomorrow. UGH!!!! I am going to start looking for a new job!!! i am already sick of these people who are lazy and lack a work ethic.
