Approaching the celebration, Chessy grinned. The senior was a bit late for the festival maybe; she had caught wind of it late. This only meant she had to be extra loud and party extra hard to make up for time! At the entrance, she accepted a pink and purple stocking that was being offered and skipped around excitedly. She came across a vendor selling fluffy boas; grabbing a red one, she wrapped it around herself gingerly and pictured herself dressed more fancily, dancing with a dashing fellow. Humming to herself, she closed her eyes and performed dancing movements as if she was ballroom dancing. She probably forced some fellow students and festival goers to side step or dodge as she moved about, unaware of where she was headed. She only opened her eyes when she bumped into something - a table. Staring straight ahead, she saw a small feline plush and squealed happily, immediately scooping it instead her arms and shoving it into her stocking. It was purple with pink stripes.... it just reminded her of herself so much!
Not too far behind from the bouncy senior followed a small demon who kept to himself. Hugging his plush tight against his body, he glanced uneasily about; seeing all the festivities around disturbed the young demon. Still standing at the entrance, petrified, one of the helpers leaned over, holding out a large black and white stocking, trying to be friendly to the freshling. He snatched it from her hands and tottered off, noticing a small booth that had no occupants. Moving towards it, he glanced at the trinkets strewn about, an orange bulb necklace caught his attention; it glowed a soft orange and seemed to glitter. He eagerly snatched it and dropped it into his stocking, amazed he could see it glow through his stocking.
Decran moved away from the booth he’d won the cockatriel at and headed off in a direction he hadn’t been yet. As he moved past a booth, something hit him on the head. He stumbled backwards, muttering and looking down. A...book? Frowning, Decran bent down to retrieve the book and then looked around, hoping to catch whoever had thrown the thing at him. He huffed when he didn’t see a guilty party. His head would be aching soon. Grumbling, he shoved the book into his satchel, with the others. Whoever had thrown it at him wasn’t going to get it back.
Syra
Syra stopped at another booth selling accessories. This time she managed to snag a nice looking pair of silver and black antlers. And, since they matched her new earrings and boa, she slipped them on and grinned as she headed on to her next stop.
Finnley
The next stop on Finnley and Jocey’s stop was a sweets shack. Finnely grinned as he picked out two things of cotton candy and scampered back off to Jocey.
Jocey
Blinking, Jocey grinned as Finnley handed her some cotton candy. She thanked him before tearing into her treat.
Ishy
As the night progressed, the air chilled and Ishy became chilly. Shuddering, she eyed the steam coming from a booth and then noticed the sign advertising hot chocolate. She grinned and made a beeline towards it.
Tyas
With her hot chocolate gone, Tyas moved off, intent on finding a treat she could take back to the dorm and share with Dmi. When she saw the booth selling the peppermint bark, she couldn’t resist and bought her a small, cutely wrapped package.
Vivian
Vivian smiled as she stepped into the festival. She was new to below but, so far, she had loved every aspect of the place. This festival was just the topping on the cake. Grinning, she headed straight for the first sweets booth she saw and happily bought herself some peanut brittle.
Emine
Emine frowned, biting her lip as she followed her caretaker into the festival grounds. Everything was so big, colorful and loud. It made her nervous in a way. Taking a deep breath, she trudged on only to shortly be distracted by the shinies in the booth in front of her. “Jewelry!” she exclaimed, letting go of her caretaker’s hand and quickly snatching up a pair of gold bell earrings and paid for them with some of the money her father had given her.
With the decision turned on him, Silas naturally got uncomfortable, and began to fidget again with the edge of his sweater. Nervously looking down, and slightly off to the side, he gave a tiny shake of his head, before quietly murmuring, "w-w-what...ever you..y-you want to do...do is f-f-ine..."

Panda Moor
With the rejection to caress his newfound companion, Lilan naturally returned to his frowning pout, pulling the rodent away from the fey in a defensive manner. "Fine." he huffed, petting the little thing instead. But in his motion of turning from the older Daymare, his eyes locked with ANOTHER little creature. This time it was super fluffy, and with a multitude of legs. Staring at the puff ball of a bee, Lilan extended his spare hand--after tucking his candycane in his pocket-- to gesture for the bee to come closer. Abiding by the offer, the insect buzzed up and perched onto the freshlings arm. Peeking over his shoulder to the senior, Lilan narrowed his eyes at her again... debating on letting her pet this one. "Don't like these too?"

After having met another freshling who'd taken up in the festivities of the celebration, Ebi couldn't resist and just had to get into the action himself! The little nixie pranced around ooohing and ahhing at the displays, his eyes sparkling and mouth wide with an excited smile. How beautiful it all was! and so much to do, so many booths to go to! he didn't know where to start!
Seeing the insect, the fey's eyes lit up; how could one despise a creature that her own species struck a resemblance with? Her mind flashed to back home for a moment - back where she came from, she was surrounded by the critters and had at least a few as pets. "Of course I do, Lilan! They're all over the place back home. Love the little things," she said, her eyes focused on the black and white fluffbug. She smiled and extended her hand out, hesitating to see if she'd get the okay from the freshling as well as the bug to pet it. "I-is it alright if I pet him?" she asked softly, glancing at the freshling. Despite being his senior in age, he was proving to be the one in control of their interaction.

"Sweet, I can't wait." He could just imagine the things Matty might cook for them. All of them were, of course, delicious. Ryker gave him a crooked grin, thinking the goblin was a very cute sore loser. "Absolutely, you just let me know when you see one you like, and I'll go win it for you." He winked, then posed like a super hero, fists on his hips.
The grimm laughed when Matty told him there would definitely be more furballs in his future. "Awesome. I swear it was fate or something that we met tonight," he said with a smile. Matty was definitely a cutie when it came to animals, and Ryker already felt at home with the goblin. "So what do you think we should name him?"

As she cuddled her newest plushie, she thought she spotted her friend. "Cyril!" she called after him Except the geist who turned around was definitely not her friend. Not enough eyes. So she sighed and flopped onto a chair. She would find him, she was sure of it. While she sat and rested, someone plopped a plant into her lap. "Oh! Thanks!" she said and gave a small smile. It was in a cute little pot, too. She could put it with her other plant, on the sill of her dorm room when she got back. A flash of dark skin caught her eye and she reached out without thinking, grabbing an arm. "Cyril!" she said with a beaming smile.
Sid smiled as he headed into the party and picked up a stocking for whatever goodies he might get. He was kind of excited about this, even though he was pretty sure Cora wouldn't be here. Still, it was a good chance for the hybrid to get out of his dorm room and take a break from studying. The first thing his eyes landed on was a table of jewelry and such, and this one had glowing bulb necklaces! Oh, man, he was totally gonna spend the whole time right here trying to decide which one he wanted most. He dropped his stocking as he tried to decide.
He finally settled on the blue one (to match his horns and wings!), and bent down to retrieve his stocking. Except it was now attached to the mouth of a green kidden. "Hey! That's mine," he laughed and extricated the fabric from the creature's mouth. "We should get you something better to eat. Maybe something that's actually edible." He grinned and scratched the kidden's head.
The senior, with the boa still wrapped around her neck, gasped with excitement when she turned to see a pair of pink antlers attached to a purple headband. She pranced over, grabbing the headband and fitting it on top of her head, wiggling her head and enjoying the soft jingles the bells attached to it made. "Peeeerfect~" she hummed to herself, turning to see what else there was for her to see. While she had yet to interact with anyone, she was having a ton of fun already.
The freshling, clinging tightly to his stocking and plush, tottered to a vendor that sold a variety of plushes. While the one he carried held a special place in his heart, he could not help but admire some of the plushes that sat on the table. His clawed fingers ran over the plushes, fondly petting them, before settling on a cream vespercat plush with soft brown accents. He slowly grabbed it and plopped it in his bag before tottering away to see what else there was to see.
Malachi was shocklingly surprised at the fact that Hailey had given up the chance at candies and baubles to give him a plant of all things. She never really understood his love of plants, and tended to poke fun at him for it now and again, but this was very special to him on an entirely different level. So much so, that when he took the pot from her and held it, he had to hold back tears. Oh gosh.. he really hoped she wasn't catching onto that!
Hailey smiled and fidgeted some after he took the flower... plant... thing... whatever from her. He had done so much to make her happy, and she was glad it seemed to do the same for him. Though she still didn't get what it was about plants that he liked so much. Weird guy he was. Then she saw that he was on the brink of tears and had to stifle a giggle, not wanting to ruin the moment. "C'mon, Khai~ I see a game with our names written all over it!" And as Malachi's mom took up their stuff so they could go play and be clutter free again, Hailey took Malachi's hand once again and off they went! And managed to do really well at the game at that!

Quite content to be enjoying the company of his new companion, along with the amusement of the pup eating some peanut brittle, Dodger continued his his hunt for anything that he could use one way or another. He felt a bit underwhelmed with possible Solstice gift choices. Everything is more fun with the idea of doing the festival as a date... the gifting from prizes and booths didn't seem so cheesy and cheap then. Ah well!
Feeling a bit thirsty, Dodger grabbed up another cup of hot chocolate. This stuff was his winter season life blood! Who needed coffee when you had hot chocolate?! Smirking at those thoughts, he took a long sip and sighed contentedly as the taste and warm feeling made him feel much better. What was it about chocolate that was just wonderful?! Feeling renewed in his spirit, the Grimm scruffed up the pup in his hold then continued his venturing.

After the dart misstep, Bobbi had decided against more throwing games for the time being. It certainly wasn't something the Litch wanted to chance again... the possibility of hurting someone that is. The Litch decided that maybe a bit more downtime was in order before braving any games or activities again. Getting xemself a latte or some strange coffee drink as it was, Bobbi settled on people watching once again. The Litch was content to sit and sip while watching others enjoy themselves once again. There was just something relaxing about doing much of nothing. Yawning, Bobbi made sure that Marshmallow was fine, and then kind of just leaned back and began nodding off.
The Goblin was far too distracted with their new furbaby to really think much about food and such. This was the first time he'd ever have pets like this, and he was too excited! Of course he managed to pull his attentions from the little pup in Ryker's hold long enough to grin at the thought of their meeting being fate. "Like the stars planned it out for us, huh?" he said, all smiles as he did so... then it was attentions back to the dog. "Hmmmm... name name... Personally I like Ms. Jackson." Smirking, his eyes peered up through his bangs as his tail swayed to and fro. "But I'm a weirdo like that. Heh. What do you think? You have any name ideas?"
Out of the corner of his eyes, something caught his attentions. He just barely managed to pull himself away from the doggie long enough to go snitch it up. "And with this bracelet, I pronounce you my puppy's daddy!" Matty declared, slipping the bracelet on Ryker's wrist as he had previously done to him.
After spending a good while at the book stand, Exodus found a few new books to take home with him. Though he would be quite embarrassed if anyone knew that some were for himself. Some were childhood memories, while others were certainly not something one would want to be caught with... Namely romance novels. Why he liked them so much he just didn't know, but he certainly didn't want anyone to know he enjoyed them. Since he could still feel the chill of cold buns from wet pants, he decided that he would at least attempt some games again. They didn't require him to sit and endure the cold that came from the back of his pants being wet from sitting on the ground, still.
