Xashowd awoke and turned back into his Vampire form. He was well rested, but as he began to move he felt a dryness in his throat, and the sensation of pinpricks on his lower lip...

Dammit...How long has it been since I last fed? Xashowd thought to himself. He started crunching the numbers...it'd been about two months since he'd gotten Blood, and a full month since he'd had some Watermelon. With all the energy he'd expended last night, it was no wonder his thirst was kicking in. Xashowd realized that warping to the Safe house in his condition wasn't a good idea, so he opened his Closet door and walked outside.

And was met by the sight of Grunnies running down the hall. They completely ignored him, appearing to have a singular purpose in mind.

Xashowd watched them for a few seconds, wondering if they'd be good to eat, when he heard noises from down the hall.

In the direction of the Safe Room.

****. Xashowd thought. The Grunnies were headed there, and headed there fast.

Xashowd knew it'd be dangerous to use more magic in his condition, so he let his Vampire skills do the work, rushing over to the Safe House.

He saw another Horde of Grunnies and a woman in white within a cage. Based on the smell, she had become a Grombie, and must've called the Grunnies somehow. There was no other explanation for this.

Xashowd growled low in his throat, a primal growl that encompassed both hunger and anger, Some of the Grunnies paused for a moment to look at him, then hissed in anger. Xashowd was interrupting their work, and from what he could tell, they were trying to open the door, some were even attempting to Chew their way in. And who knew how many people were inside.

Angered, Hungry, and just plain fed up with these obnoxious rabbits, Xashowd sharply inhaled all he could hold then let loose a shrill, unearthly, high-pitched scream at the Grunnies. High C Opera singers had nothing on the octaves and pitch he was putting out in his rage.

All at once the Grunnies stopped clawing at the door, the high-pitched noise driving them insane due to their sensitive hearing. Some of them started convulsing uncontrollably, others had their hearing blasted completely and started running into walls.

Every factor combined, Xashowd was furious at the Grunnies. He'd see them dead, even if he had to make them explode from the vibrations. He became blind to everything else, even forgetting that the woman in the cage might've once been someone he knew, if but for a while...

As she's looking around for other things to put in front of the door, a sound reaches her ears. That loud high pitched wail made her head hurt and she clamped her hands over her ears. "Kyu!" She backed away from the door trying to get away from the sound. "What is that?"

She was wincing trying to hear Minty over the urge to succumb to a migraine. "I-I'm not sure." Her head jerks up at the sudden banging. "There is definitely something." Raises her voice to try and be heard. "Who is out there, speak if you can!"

Xashowd kept up the violent shriek for a few minutes, until he was certain all the Grunnies had been disoriented. He noticed a girl in a dress walk up to the door and start banging on it. Given her appearance she was a Grombie, but had no interest in Xashowd. Were he completely sane at this moment, he might wonder if his Vampire Blood somehow made him invisible to her.

Unfortunately, Xashowd wasn't in his right mind. He pulled out a small capsul from a coat pocket and pushed a button on it. It extended into his Magitech Scythe, Nightwind. He had stopped shrieking, and any Grunnies whose eardrums weren't blasted looked at him with intense hatred.

Xashowd merely grinned and shouted at the top of his lungs. "WHO'S UP FOR ******* GRUNNY STEW!?" Xashowd then went into a frenzy, hacking apart every last grunny he could get close to. Any that were disoriented were cut into chunks within seconds. Any Grunnies who weren't impacted flew at him in a fury, only to be cut down by his quick reflexes and skilled Scythe-work. One grunny got close enough to Xashowd to latch onto him with its claws, but due to the sheer speed Xashowd was spinning at, it didn't get enough time to bite and was thrown off by the momentum, leaving claw marks in his arm.

Xashowd barely noticed.

When he started there were who knew how many Grunnies that had come to try and break through the door. After a while, the only Grunnies left alive were the ones that had fled in sheer terror from the rampaging vampire.

Only then did Xashowd's rage end. He stopped and panted heavily, scythe in one hand angled towards the floor. Covered in Grunny Guts and a few scratches that he barely noticed, Xashowd turned his attention to the woman in the cage. In his remaining anger, he didn't see her as a person, nor did he recognize the scent of Freak. He merely saw her as the source of the grunny problem. He began walking over to her slowly, his Scythe blade dragging across the floor and making a metallic scratching sound.

Xashowd subconsiously knew the woman wasn't good to eat. But he would end her all the same...
