Cody stepped into the common room, excited for Christmas to come! Only 24 more minutes and it would be here. Too bad none of Aqua was here to celebrate with. He released his pokemon and snuggled them in his favorite armchair. At least he would have his team.

Maddy entered the common room and placed a bowl of Rare Candies on the coffee table in front of the TV. She placed a little note next to the bowl and took a candy for herself. The note read:
"Happy Holidays, everyone! Take a Rare Candy for yourself and choose wisely which Pokemon you give it to. After all, a Rare Candy is a free evo point! Enjoy the holidays!"
With that, Maddy walked off.

Cody popped into the common room, instantly noticing the bowl of rare candies on the table next to his favorite chair. After reading the note, he opened his TADS and sent his best friend, Maddy, a message.
Hey, Madds.
Thanks for the rare candies. It was really thoughtful of you. Merry Christmas.

Allen yawned as he entered the room. Casually he checked the clock and jumped when he noticed he was supposed to have been out nearly fifteen minutes ago. He noticed the bowl of Rare Candies on the table, quickly he read the note, swiped one of the candies. Told himself that he'd thank whoever when he got the chance. The last thought he had before dashing from the room was 'I wonder where these came from.' with a shrug.

Cody popped into HQ with a yawn, quickly finding his favorite armchair to sit in while he sorted through all his paperwork. He had a lot to catch up on, and it was certain no one else was going to do it, so he went to work. Checking this, reading that. It seemed like it was never-ending, but he loved what he did.
Poochy and Axew slugged themselves into the common room shortly after their trainer, making loud groaning noises as they stretched before finally bringing themselves over to the couches and laying down.
"Lazy bones," Cody laughed as he watched the two pokemon collapse atop one another on the biggest couch in the room. They nearly took up a full cushion with how sprawled out they were. He looked up to find the time, took note of it on one of his papers, and got back to work.

Memo walked out of his room with Cereza cheerfully playing on his head.
"Chhhika!"
"Hehe!"
The boy made his way to the common room where he greeted Cody.
"Hey!"
He jumped excitedly, but with a very reserved style. He then noticed the dish full of Rare Candies and saw the note.
"Huh."
Memo then put the candy in his pouch and tilted his head to smile.

Cody set down his paperwork to get up for a second. "This is just too much," he said to himself, looking around at the empty common room. He looked to his pokemon, back to his paperwork, and headed to the kitchen to find a drink.

Maddy entered the common room, all five of her Pokeballs attached to her belt. Today, she was in the mood to get out and have some fun.
"Anyone around?" She called out.
A girl with curly orange followed in after Maddy. She had just recently been recruited to Aqua.

"Aha!"
Memo ran out of his room excitedly with Cereza on his head.
"Maddy?!"
He greeted his friend and then noticed the other girl behind her. He slyly observed her very quickly and within a matter of seconds he extended his arm to shake her hand.
"Hola! I'm Memo!"

She shook the boy's hand; she had a pretty firm grip.
"I'm Shelly."
"Archie asked me to recruit her to the Team." Maddy explained. "It's been hard going. Had trouble finding her."
She began to put on her winter coat as it was quite chilly outside.
"How are you, Memo?" She asked.

The boy giggled as Shelly tightened her grip.
"Nice to meet you."
He then turned to Maddy and let Cereza plop into his arms.
"I've been well. I ha-"
"Hurgh!"
A burly, attractive man interrupted Memo with a cough as he made his way into the Common Room.
"Aqua, huh?"
Memo quickly looked over a tad bit confused, and then tapped his head!
"Duh! You're the new recruit that was requested by Archie also!"
He flipped open his TADS and showed everyone in the room the picture along with a status.

Maddy smiled lightly.
"It's an honor to be called upon by Archie himself. He must have something big planned."
Shelly eyed this other man closely.
I could probably do better than him... She thought.
Maddy turned back to Memo.
"Any plans for today?" She asked the boy.

The large man introduced himself as Matt and scoffed with a grin as Maddy spoke.
"Well I don' know bout' Firetop there, but I'm as good as they come!"
Memo and Cereza let out a sweatdrop as Matt spoke and quickly averted their attention to Maddy and Shelly.
"Yea actually! I heard about a Pokemon Tournament in Dewford."
He played with a lip and smiled.
"Sounds like a good place to stir up some fun hehe."

"I'm sure we could take a boat from Lilycove to Dewford."
She gathered up the rest of her things.
"Let's head out then."
Shelly shrugged.
"Well, I suppose I'll join. It'd be nice to see how things are done around here."

Memo enthusiastically gathered his items and motioned for everyone to leave the HQ waving has hand over to Matt as well.
"Anything to get out and stretch, bud!"
Matt stretched his arms out and walked out.
