*Shortstraw shied as he sat down, "well i want to know what it is that these amulets thingys are for, and why the hell i dont know anything again." He crossed his arms, "i'm still left out of the team. Even after everything thats ever happened, i'm still being left out of things. So personally this is really eritating. Even though i would understand if it was protection purposes that we didnt know, people almost got hurt today who were innocent. INCLUDING, me." he pointed to Evelyn, "i know your not entirly doing this stuff by will. I can understand becuse in actulity your keria's demon too way before mine." He looked to keria, "but I know Yang is lisening and damn it I want to know stright from her." He was startingot get rellyed now, even though he wasn't meaning to be. He was trying to stay calm and understanding. Trying to see the good in anything that may be going on.
Veria giggled, "well he cant leave untill he give me the answer i'm looking for, and frankly once i get board of waiting i'll just choose for him." She nodded holding up a finger, "however if there is no will i will see what happens to the land and report it to you." She mumbled to herself, "and if not owned by anyone i may take it myself untill the right owner could be found." She glanced to Cresseda, "know what mean?"

Evelyn suddenly laughed and sighed as she leaned on the counter. "If I told you every little thing Shortstraw you would come to despise not only me but the person who is holding your child. And I'm not going to tell you if you start throwing a hissy fit on me if its your time of the month." She snapped incriminatingly before tilting her head. "The amulets.. The amulets are some of the oldest things existing. Pendants of the first angels. Lucifer, Michael, Gabriel, Uriel, Jophiel and a few others. They were all spread over the lands after Lucifer was first cast away and the majority of power from angels was taken because God feared that he put too much trust in them. These pendants were dropped all around the world. And this alliance we had was a pact to bring them together. We've made good progress, too. Collected most of them. The last few are harder to obtain for various reasons. The reason behind collecting them all lies within a bountiful legend, concerning Kiera." She scratched her head. "And apparently Demi. Well, we didn't know there could be more than one possible candidate for being the child of the sun." She pointed to their bellies. "But being as their both pregnant at the same time, that would mean their lives are intertwined. So it'd make sense. But I wouldn't dwell too much on that."
Cresseda shook her head. "Only leaders can take land. Otherwise I would take it myself. Besides, father never had a... real son or daughter to take over." Rat stroked his chin inquisitively. "You know I don't really fancy the idea of making a deal with a demon. I really don't like dirtying myself up like you, Cresseda." Cresseda scowled to him. <******** off and make your mind up already." Rat sighed. "Not to mention it'd all get terribly confusing. I really like my boundaries intact, just the way I like them."

*Veria giggled as she licked her lips, "vary well i'm sure your taste lovly." She stepped forword and grabbed him as a snake appeared from under her skirt and rapped aorund him to hold him in place as she pressed up aginst him, "at least i gave you a choice." She shrugged, "but you see dear boy, I am a leader. I'm the Demon Queen, tenicly, i can own land." She winked as she looked into his eyes, "i mean well on most terms, however i wont lie when i say i'm a serpent."
Meanwhile shortstraw shrugged, "i heard this child of the sun thing before from you two when i was easedropping, and also from when you and keria explained things before about ameile and all that happened. However if both of them are children of the sun, i mean what diffrence does it make if they are or not? I mean is there somthing they are suppost to do, is this some sort of fate thing?" He looked to keria however.

Evelyn sighed. "They didn't explain it to me fully. But it's as we said before about the child being given a special god-like power. Being rained upon by the powers of the sun and commanding it at their will, insinuating Phoenix powers. However Kiera and Demi are two completely different types of Phoenix. Demi is a pure blood Phoenix, born from the highest standard Phoenix blood there is. Whereas Kiera was made a Phoenix of slightly special terms. It makes a large difference if they're both children of the sun. It means they have the potential to posses a great power if it's searched for." She sighed. "Nothing to do with fate, as much as I'd like to think so. Only to do with what is, what could be and what will be." Evelyn made a face. "And then there's Yang's greed." 'All right you don't need to go that far.' 'Oh? You told me to tell them everything I knew.' 'Anything that was concerned. My greed has nothing to do with this. Not that you know yet, anyway.'
Rat snickered even as he was held. "I never denied you were. I know a leech when I see one." Cresseda had begun to get concerned. "Watch your tongue, Rat." Rat smiled. "We're all the same. We have no fear of death as it was denied to us in the first place when it was our only salvation. Kill me if you think I'm an annoying pawn. But that still won't get you what you want. And Cresseda will distance herself." Cresseda frowned. "Your life means nothing to me." Rat laughed. "That's a lie and you know it." Rat looked back to Veira with a smile. "Hurry up with it already. I'm practically dying anyway." He held up a finger. "Oh and, food for thought. Kill me and all the archives of everyone I've ever copied get passed on to my next of kin. Just thought I should just mention that." Cresseda bit her lip and looked away.

*Veria smerked eviliy, "oh so torcher and imprizenment will be batter." She let go, "good." She stepped back and the snake tightened around rat, "looks like i'll just have to make you a cage little rat." She smiled as the snake would suddenly pull him, as weird and horrable this may sound, up her skirt into her own demention where she kept all her prizoners for a time. Leaving only cesseda wnad veria, "dont worry hun he'll be fine once i abstract what i want from him. Then i'll return him to you. Now lets go take a look at the mantion."
Shortstraw shied, "i'm sure Yang wants that power for personal reasions. Yang likes power that I know. And I also know i cant stop her either. Thats up to ying, and Ying only. Still, if this sun child thing happened..." he pulsed, "nevermind. i got the answers I wanted. I'll figre out the rest as i go." He looked to Evelyn again, "thankyou, even though i'm sure she told you to keep things to a minimum." He smerked, "i'm not that stupid, I learned from yang int he first place." He turned to the others, "anyone else got a question?"

Mordekai looked away boredly. "I have all I need to know." Demi however was just looking to the floor. "This is quite troubling.." Evelyn however rolled her eyes and suddenly slapped Shortstraw. Hard. Right across the cheek. None of them were expecting it. Especially Kiera. Evelyn then gave Shortstraw a hard stare. "Don't you even begin to think that you have a handle of the situation like you think you do with that infuriating smirk of yours. If you really learned from Yang then you would know how difficult it is for me and Ying to go along with all of this. Don't even ******** think you begin to understand how we feel about this. Because you don't show it. That, and you never ask." She then stormed out of the room and up the stairs. Demi glanced to the doorway and brought her hand to her own cheek as if she felt the smack. "Oh my.." Mordekai blinked a few times however seemed disinterested still. Kiera got up from her chair and walked to Shortstraw with an apologetic look in her eyes. "Jesus.. are you all right Shortstraw? She hit you quite hard.. that was out of line.."

*Shortstraw blinked in shock. He slowly felt his cheek. He though he had just dropped the situation, he stopped asking questions, but obviously he went too far before hand. "No..." he replied in a low tone, "it wasn't out of line. It just shows... alot." He looked to the others and gave a fake smile, "i do hope you have a safe way home, but if you would like to spend the night we have a few rooms avalable tot he left hallways." He pointed and looked to keria, "i'm fine." He nodded, "though i would like to go to my room now." He turned and seemed in thought as he headed off and up the stairs into their room. There he shut the door and sat down on the bed. Wow, he felt tarrable.

Kiera brought her hand to her mouth and chewed her thumbnail as she looked at the doorway with a deeply concerned expression. Not really saying anything either until Demi put a hand on her shoulder and suddenly looked shocked. "Oh, I didn't sense you come near." Demi smiled to her. "It'll be fine. This is just a little hiccup." Kiera's expression saddened. "But it's my fault." Mordekai rolled his eyes. "Nothing is your fault. You just seem to think it all is." Hana glanced away and thought to herself before moving out of the room and into the living room to find Kiiro. Kiera sat down at the table and glanced down guiltily. "This is a really broken family. No one admits it because we all want it to be fine but beneath the exterior there are cracks and it's killing us all. It's what killed my aunt. My mother and father-" Mordekai sighed. "There's too much secrecy between you all, that's what I think." Demi gave him a disapproving stare before sighing. "I think we should stay the night. Especially after this." Mordekai moaned. "Really Demi? We'll just add to their stress." Demi smiled. "No, we'll help out." She walked over to Kiera and tapped her shoulder. "Now com'on. You should go and see you husband. Men are real big softies you see. Once someone gets them in their soft spot they may think they need space but they're wrong. Because that way they bottle things up and things get even worse." Kiera nodded. "I need to be good for him." Mordekai groaned again.

*Shortstraw just sat there in thought. He didn't take a side. He didn't say it was a bad thing either, he even said it outlaud that some may not be bad at all and he didnt need to know everything. The only thing was that kept going through his head, was the fact that eveyln was right. Partly. He asked all the time, most of the time it was dodged or sorta put aside with little detail. Still she was correct, and he figured maybe it was painful what she and yang done for him to act like this all the time he finds somthing out and starts to wonder. He deserved the smack, he almost was happy she did such a thing. It showed she cared, and put him into consideration. Even if it hurt, it was still somthing to help him as he processed everything. "I shouldn't push so hard i guess." he mumbled to himself.

Kiera suddenly peeked her head into the room with Shortstraw curiously. "Hey... you alright in here?" Kiera briefly looked back to see Hana leading Kiiro to Evelyn's room and Mordekai with Demi behind them to possibly lead them to their own room. Evelyn's room was the most likely place where Evelyn was holding up. If not in one of the disused wings of the castle. Kiera looked back to Shortstraw and shuffled half of herself into the room. "Is it okay if I come in? You didn't seem very good down there.." She looked down and remembered what Demi told her before she went up the stairs. She didn't want to say any more however because she felt she'd make it worse. Nor did she want to talk about that particularly. But Evelyn did take it too far, in her opinion. Kiera didn't tolerate people hurting Shortstraw at the best of times. But since it was Evelyn it was harder a thought than most. She knew Evelyn did it because she was angry with the norm around this place. However Ying didn't fully understand the meaning behind it rather than Yang, who understood the perfect reason behind Evelyn's frustration. Yang however, was staying dormant until further notice. For obvious reasons.

*Shortstraw looked to ying, "yea i'm fine. It was just sorta ackword down there." He gave a fake chukkle, "besides I pretty tired already ive been thinking about going to bed for a while now." He got up and started to undress into hi sleeping clothing and looked to her, "your coming in or plan on sleeping half i the doorway?" He joked with a little smile. He wasn't mad or anything, he still felt he deserved it for how he was treating everything like he was a boss or somthing. Even he didn't like how he was acting. He hoped to let it go, and wake up in the morning with everything fine again. No more questions were going to be asked out of him though for a while. Even though he had so many, and even few right now for keria. He desided to let it all go and head to the bed.

Kiera smiled to him and moved into the room, shutting the door behind her. "Yeah, I'm tired as well. A... lot happened today." She thought of Mai, and Cyril. And how much she wanted to talk to Evelyn or Yang about what happened. Also how she wanted to talk with Demi. But there was time for that tomorrow. And as she got ready for bed she made sure to comfort Shortstraw the best she could. After all, that was all she could do. After they were both asleep however, Kiera's body emanated a pale light before separating into two beings. Yang stood next to the bed looking down on Ying and Shortstraw before pulling a face and walking out of the room and into the disused wing. Upon finding Evelyn in one of the highest towers glancing out of the window, she couldn't help but chuckle a little. "I'd give you a nine out of ten, but your expression wasn't all that convincing." Evelyn's eyes dimmed as she grumbled and glanced over to Yang. "Tell me what you were going to, then." Yang rose her eyebrows. "What was it you said before to Shortstraw? 'I'm not going to tell you if you start throwing a hissy fit on me if its your time of the month'." She giggled. Evelyn rolled her eyes. "Just tell me." Yang crossed her arms over her chest. "Then I'll be right out with it." She tilted her head slightly. "Hana is testing me. Testing what it will take for me to truly despise her. She killed my dog purposefully however skillfully. So she must have some sort of base knowledge at my true malevolence. Someone's told her that I and possibly Veira are evil." Evelyn was about to speak before Yang rose her finger again. "I'm not done. Tomorrow Evelyn I'm leaving for a three day long trip to Lauren and Nori's kingdom to meet up with a few other surrounding kingdoms to discuss the terms of their land and old man Grey's. I'm taking Demi with me." She grinned. "However the other kingdoms soon will come to find that all land in question belongs to me." Evelyn pulled a ghastly expression. "That whole thing down the witching hole, it was set up?" Kiera shrugged. "Got rid of a few bothersome people that's for sure. And I knew how deceitful those siblings and that ******** old man were against me. Having that conversation at the festival right under my nose was a mistake of their very own. Everything's working out very well for me, so far. A little trauma for my family never hurt anyone, though." Evelyn's eyes thinned. "I'm not so sure I like your methods, Yang.. you've involved people who never needed to be involved." Yang smirked. "Well, if Demi is another child of the sun, Evelyn. Then she was going to get involved with me anyway."

*shortstraw of course was sleeping with ying, but while he was sleeping he was in his own soul demention again just walking around aimlessly as if looking for somthing inperticullar.
Meanwhile Veria appeared int he room with evelyn and yang, "that was indeed a close one though. The things in shortstraws head right now, expechally then... woooohooo, but i think evelyn cleared that out for you for a while longer." She leaned on the wall and crossed her arms, "so you will own the land when this is done huh. Not bad... may i have a small chunk of it?"

Yang chuckled and tried to hold back her laughter with a polite hand to her mouth. "Little sister if I give you some of the land in plain sight such as it is then everyone will know that you're still hanging around." She rose an eyebrow. "And may I ask what this land would be for? You're the one asking me after all." Evelyn sighed and looked back out of the window. "Nothing good will come of Veira's involvement in the land distribution. And I hope you're not hoping to kill off all the kingdom leaders so that you may take their land." Yang practically giggled. "Of course not! That would be foolish. My roots go much deeper than that, kitty." Evelyn shook her head and stood up, before she started to walk out. "Then I want no part of it for the moment. Not until I cool off." She walked out of the room and further into the disused wing. Yang's eyes thinned. "She's started to become distrustful." She looked back to Veira. "Anyway, back to the question at hand."

*Veria looked to Yang with a nod, "I wanted to make a small underground containment and experimenting bay. It's hard to do such action here at the castle with all so many around. Even more so it's hard to own anything that can be out in the everyday world without information getting around as you already stated." She shrugged, "you dont have to or anything, i dont expect it. But i did ask when the thought came to me." She however pointed the direction Evelyn went with her thumb with a lower tone vioce, "you have to be carful with her you know. Distrustful or not, she is part of shortstraw, and being stuck inthe center of two diffrent halves of the whole exprince is diffiuclt. Just saying." She pushed herslef off the wall, "As for this land, it's practly ours. I have finally found sights on Eve. However she is already on her way back i do belive. As a for warning. But as i stated before, let thigns play out, becuse she wont be alone." She winked.
