Kiera sat up properly and hugged her knees to her chest. "It's amazing how people change in such a short time, isn't it." She said quietly to herself, Now this had a lot of meanings for a lot of people, to her. She wouldn't even know where to start with that. She put her forehead against her knees and closed her eyes.

*Veria pulled something out and held it up with the twizers to the light, "oh my. It's a good thing we have been getting along. She obviously planed on us getting on eachothers nevers so much it would release this into our blood stream!" She took a vile and place the small thing into it, "theres is most likly one in each coller. If correct this would have went directly into our hearts and culsed some real problems. This arecnutainium, strong and vary rare stuff. I should deffenlty abstrack this emadatly form the other cuff." she nodded.

Kiera took a lazy glance at Veira before she held out her hand with the cuff on it. There was a short knock on the bedroom door, and when Kiera called out for the person to come in, it was Cyril, carrying a plate of some pancakes. "You must be starvin'." Kiera smiled over to him. "A little, thanks." Cyril set the plate down in front of her with a knife and fork, then leaned in to put his hand on the back of her neck and kissed her forehead. "Get better, Ki." Cyril smiled to her before he left the room, leaving Kiera a bit flustered as she looked down to the pancakes.

*Veria made a face, "see everyone likes you. No one kisses me." She then started messing with the other cuff, working quickly however carfully. This time it was easy to know what she had to do to get just as far, so in no time she had the arecnutainium out of the cuff. "Well i have more news. I didn't see it in the other cuff, but it seems i'm close to the core. I may have these off soon." She nodded.

Kiera smiled and nodded. "Good, good." She picked up the fork and instantly stared chomping into her pancakes. After a few days of not eating, yeah, she was pretty hungry. And grateful to Cyril. He was trying desperately to redeem himself at least. With Asher's guidance, too. Recently Asher had began mothering everyone like no tomorrow. She was older than them all, but even so, it was a little creepy. Especially when Asher was a cat.

Shortstraw woke up at the smell of pancakes, "huh..." he replied as he looked around. Veria nodded after working a few minets more silently, "okay good news and bad news." The cuffs suddenly made a clicking sound, "Good news is we can now release this chain." She took the chain and slid it out of her cuff then worked on kerias and slid it out of hers too, "But... the bad news is these things are still stuck to our arms even though we are free... it will take alot more to get these off then i thought." She explained looking to keria and shortstraw witha smile.

Kiera sighed with relief and stood up, extending her arms out at her sides. "Finally!" Then the pain came back and she hunched over, immediately regretting that. She held her cuffed arm out in front of her and turned her palm over. She was free. Thank god for that. She'd forgotten about the pancakes, stuck on the smell of sweet, sweet freedom.

*Shortstraw smiled, "thats good news..." Veria nodded and got up, "one moment please..." she quickly made her way to the ensuit. Moments later she returned, "i had been holding that for a while." She smiled releaved. "You know... keria, i could live with this cuff on myself..." she replied getting at something while she looked away, meanwhile shortstraw was tryingto get the pancakes slowly.*

Kiera looked to the cuff then over to Veira. "Eh, it doesn't bother me too much either." She quickly swiped away the pancakes from Shortstraw and stuffed them into her mouth. Not exactly the prettiest look, but comical all the same as she grinned to him. "Miiiine. Get your own pancakes."

*Shortstraw made a cute putyface, "but but... but..." Veria giggled as he nodded, "Fine!" He stompped downstairs as Veria looked to keria, "I was thinking maybe we could ware these like... a truse... or somthing." She replied with alittle blush. She sorta liked some of the life it was like around them. Being with shortstraw at night, feeling as though you have a double there to watch your back. She almost.... almost felt as if she was even needed here.*

Kiera wafted her hand at Veira. "Ehhh. Talk to me again when my mind is clearer." She decided to not think about that right now. Not when she was like this. Sure she could think, but maybe not make they greatest of decisions. And she didn't want to ruin anything for later on. She coughed and held her stomach. "Urgh, I don't feel so good." Maybe she shouldn't have eaten those pancakes so fast.

*Veria made a face, "thats what you get for craming all those pancakes in your mouth at once." She giggled, "kay~" be this time shortstraw walked in with his own plate of pancakes, "ha~! I even have surrp." He grined and looked to Veria as he sat down, "so are you going to stay for a while?" Veria shrugged, "now that i'm not here by force, thats up to my sister. Personally, i do sorta like it here. Sorta." She smerked.

Kiera rushed into the en-suite and shut the door behind her. She slammed her back against the door, but then of course, instantly regretted that. So now she craned over the sink, coughing heavily. Urgh, she wished she'd stop being so helpless all the time. This had really begun to get on her nerves, now. Why wasn't anyone else always ill like this? And now her sister wanted to stay here. In her house. She didn't know if she wanted that all too much. Sure it would give them a chance to be closer and work together, and make Veira a better person, but she'd also have all access to Shortstraw. That's not what Kiera wanted. Right now she just wanted to hide him away somewhere no one will ever find him so that she could have him all to herself. But of course, that would be selfish. No, she didn't know what she'd decide.

*Veria put a fingure to her mouth in thought, "hmmm... maybe i better not push it." Shortstraw chukkled, "well everything did go alot better as far as you two then i thought." Veria smiled, "yes me too. Though i have many thing i need to go do. Perhaps i will vist again soon." She headed to the door as shortstraw swallowed, "your leaving? Keria didn't say you had to go or not yet." Veria smiled and looked to him, "right now i can visit, that is more then i had before. Besides... i'm starting to get ichy and that means..." she shied, "i might shed soon. And i'm hungry again, so i need to go eat. And i'm tired... somehow." She looked down to herslef and nodded, "Probably becuse i forgot to change into my smaller form..." she mumbled the last bit as she smiled, "thanks though. I will come back maybe later. Tell keria i said thankyou." and with that she walked out the room and soon out the house.

Kiera just stood there and breathed for a couple of minutes before she stumbled out and collapsed herself face first onto the bed. "Ah. Still tired." She noticed Veira was gone, but didn't make a comment. She then brought her hands up to her face and rubbed her eyes. No, she couldn't fall asleep again. "What time is it?" She asked quietly.
