I have been officially scheduled to play in several shows in the coming months, with one small problem; there isn't any music yet. lol
There is music, but it's all in the guitarist's head, and there is yet to be a baseline written.
I'm sparely on Gaia anyway, and between trying to work on my car and be in a band with shows (thus practicing my a** off everyday) I resign from gaia for the time being; probably forever. D:
However, I shall be available through AIM and YIM randomly through S/Ns the same as this one (IF you ever want to contact me).
Shows for the summer are scheduled for the SE US and Cali, or so it seems at the time being.

Eh, I check up from time to time.
By the way... Next time I try to play for a band, I'm bringing a hammer and a nail, to deflate the guitarist's head! ninja

If the guitarist isn't happy, no one's happy!
Or is that the lead singer...?
It's been a while since I last played Guitar Hero.

Let's just say this, if the guitarist ticks the drummer and bassist off, he's got no band. razz

Urban industrial anti-polka. I hear the genre is gaining some steam in the indie music scene. Hai might be onto something big.

i really hate the idea of "indie"
like...it shouldn't be a genre it's just a thing
i dunno it just bugs me when people are like anti mainstream and only listen to indie it feels like they're trying to like something "uncool" because they want to be different and unique and such
unique...thats another thing that's stupid and bright wtf is that supposed to mean "you're a very bright kid" oh? i'm radioactive? thats cool i guess all the radioactivity caused by my brightness killed a lot of my braincells that's why i'm just bright and not smart right?
god...i hated high school so much sometimes

"Indie" is very strange as a genre in itself. It has no uniform sound to it, and it's not a definite indicator of a band's popularity. Plenty get mainstream play. It's more a description of the band's status than the music itself.
(Edit: So anyway, what I gather from google is that the term "indie" is also used to describe a particular style of rock music, this definition has shifted in the past few decades.)
I always thought "bright" was just referencing the comparison of the mind to a lightbulb. Such as calling someone a "dimwit", "He's not the brightest bulb in the bunch", etc.

bright is just a way for teachers to trick parents into thinking their kid is somehow better than any other kid

Or to trick the kid into thinking s/he is better than the other kids. It's a pat on the head from authority figures who appreciate your obedience, and ability to keep up with the busy work.
