Elliot was sleeping an almost peaceful sleep, he had moved around a lot, muttering things about the fields and crops before silencing multiple times. What woke him up wasn't Lily, she was as quiet as a doormouse, what caught him was Ipo's incredibly cheerful voice breaking through teh barrier of the door.

"Good morning my lord! The weather is absolutely beautiful!" The hare exclaimed while opening the door. "Lily! Good morning!" Ipo looked at the bed where Elliot sat up, disgruntled and still half asleep. "Bad time?"

Elliot looked up at the footman before at his breakfast, muttering something about a waste and began to eat.

Ipo smiled nervously. "All right! Well the noble will wait for us at the fields. But you wanted Henry to remind me to remind you that you have time to visit the library."

"I had already forgotten. Thank you Ipo." And continued to eat as the door closed. "Lily I'm taking you to the library, get ready. Stockings and shoes please, that's an order."

Elliot looked at Lily as he got dressed. "No, no Lily you misunderstand. I promised to show you the library before we left, remember? I am keeping my promise as your friend." Or would Lily deny that too, stating bentiens didn't have friends? Silver eyes looked away as he finished dressing, grabbing the white lantern. "We have time before heading to the fields. Remember, you will always accompany me. Last night was an exception because I imagined you to be tired." He chuckled. "It came as no surprise when I saw you awake, I had expected as much. Now come, dress yourself and I shall show you the greatest library you have ever seen. I know you can read, Lily. You enjoy it."

Elliot was walking along the streets amongst the people, though he could easily spot his guards within the crowd. The prince was glad Lily had chosen something less royal and more common, at the most he appeared to be a low class noble. The tug at his sleeve made him glance up at the other before chuckling. "I accept you just as you are, Lily." And kissed the other's cheek. Elliot linked his first two finger's around Lily's. He wasn't going to hold her hand, she was already blushing and reverting, best not to push it. "I find you very becoming, Miss Lily. But change of topic. That building with the red roof is the library." It was easy to see, it was the largest building in the town. "Of course you have your scholars, astrologers, builders, artisans, et cetera et cetera, but the library is where it all begins."

"It's supposed to be. It holds almost all of the kingdom's history. Come on." And walked up the stairs, glancing back at the guards before entering the building. It was quiet, the morning light shining through the windows, dust particles visible in the air but it gave off an ethereal appearance, like the building was as holy as a church. "Which way shall we go?" Elliot questioned softly, looking at the upper two floors, shelves visible. The floor they were on was lined with as many shelves with books of all shapes and sizes. "Toward the back are scrolls, however. Older documentation. They're turning them slowly into books."

Lily had spoken her question so softly it made the other hold back a chuckle. "What else do you do in a library? But we may, yes." And led the other straight to the back, glancing in awe himself before turning and entering a new room. It seemed like a large dresser, from floor to ceiling filled with small square drawers, each containing a scroll or specific amount of scrolls. The room seemed small in comparison to the outer room, and they were the only two in it.

"The numbers are the years." Elliot murmured, browsing them. "I shall be selfish and find my birth year." and ran his fingertips over the numbers on the drawers, quickly moving to a new aisle of shelves. He was listening carefully though, making sure he knew where Lily was at all times.

Elliot read the scroll containing his birth, a celebration of the heir from a beloved king and queen. He read on, smiling at how grand the celebration had been. Apparently the news had spread like wild fire and cities celebrated one after the other. He read on past it, bountiful crop, beautiful weather. He'd been an Autumn child, early Autumn, and winter was just around the corner. His recent birthday had been just as grand, he was ripe for marriage. "Which reminds me." He carefully rolled it up and placed it back, moving backwards and looking for another scroll, passing Lily and crouching down, opening a new drawer and taking out another scroll. His parents' wedding. What had it been like? What he read did surprise him. "My mother was of common blood." He murmured to himself, reading her history. A simple farmer's daughter. He'd never known, she was always so beautiful he'd assumed as a child she'd been of noble blood. "And married so young." And continued to read. There was talk of his father's good friend being at the wedding kissing the queen. The Prime Minister before he was Prime Minister?

Hm, that was a good person to research, and he quickly began, opening and closing drawers, scouring them for the knowledge of a man whose history he knew little about. He'd followed his father everywhere. How odd, what sort of friend followed you everywhere? "Curiouser and Curioser." Elliot skipped a few years, opening a new drawer and pulling out the scroll, wrinkled, yellow and fragile in his fingertips. Nothing, maybe a year or two after? it took a few more minutes of searching. "The first written documentation of the Prime Minister." His father had been young when they met. It didn't say how though, he'd just appeared there and appeared to have been living there for a while. That didn't make any sense. Elliot began his reading from there, looking at every detail that mentioned the Prime Minister.

"I was twelve when they were born. I had hated their mother so I was intent on hating them." He responded, closing the scroll and pulling out a new one. "But they were three incredibly adorable cherubs, I couldn't help but grow a liking to them. This makes no sense. Maybe I need to go back further." He said, rolling the scroll up and once again moving backwards. "I was not aware I was considered beautiful though." And opened a new drawer, two years previous to the one the Prime Minister originally appeared in. Silver eyes raced across the lines. His father traveled often, it seemed, much younger than Elliot. Fifteen, fourteen perhaps. He read something odd. The prince Alvaro had started travelling with a commoner woman after travelling beside the Retian border. "But he didn't meet mother until he was sixteen." The prince mused, or was it bad documentation?

"My liege," Elliot looked up at the guard. "We must meet the Noble to aid the farmland."

"Oh yes you're right. I was unaware of how much time had passed." Information stored in the back of his head the scroll was placed back, looking at Lily with a smile. "Come alone, Miss Lily. You are in for a treat much greater than snow." and held out his hand toward the other before following the guard out. The lantern was in his free hand, still white, but beyond the silver eyes was contemplation, a puzzle being put together with the image still unknown.
