Vincent
Vincent watched her in the mirror as she checked her face, her hair. As she turned he stood stock still, he would ripple as he moved. A flaw in his hiding, and then he felt that with Aimee not present he could confront this girl, who at one point wanted to ******** him, and now that she knew what he really was, despised him. He set a bolt of water into the lock and it froze sealing the room. Vincent shimmered and then he was visible, just the normal Vincent she knew.
"You know, it's my job to worry and fret and speculate as to why someone takes so long to do something. Always been hard with one person, with two I may go insane, but it is my duty. Aimee loves you, losing you would break her and thus break me." Vincent moved faster than she could follow and he was there on the counter sitting, his face two feet from hers.
"Three days ago you had no idea what I was, what I could do, and why I was here. Yet you were willing to flirt, and play and probably go all the way, had I not restrained myself. What has changed is knowledge. You've gained insight into what I am. Why do you despise me for that?" Vincent moved again and he was on her other side.
"You said I was evil, yet here I am, required to do a job that is definitely not evil. Would you call it evil since I protect something you care about? Evil that I kept your head on its shoulders when my colleges charge jumped his death machine?" Vincent moved again, his arms were wrapped around her waist his chin on her shoulder, his breath cool against her skin as he finished.
"I am nothing more than a tool to some. Actually for the last two thousand years that's all I was. Aimee is the first to not use me for personal gain, amazing isn't it, and yet I can give her whatever she wants. I have access to trillions in gold, and she asks nothing of me, except to protect your innocence. Is that evil Lilly?" Vincent moved away and faded from sight. He was again invisible.
"I'm not evil, misguided yes, but not evil. Give me the benefit of the doubt Lilly, cause I haven't changed from who you knew three days ago to two hours ago. I am still Vincent, you just know that I am also a demon." The door's jamb unlocked and he waited till she would leave.

Lillian "Lilly" Uckelman
Lilly jumped when Vincent was suddenly there; she didn't even have time to curse before he was speaking and practically teleporting all around the tiny WC. Her heart skipped a beat when he mention so casually that Aimee loved her. It just...drops from his mouth. Like it is nothing.
"You just said it, Vincent. You're required to do it. Your natural tendencies lead towards evil, and you only do neutral or even good things because you are required to do it. The very definition of a demon is a foul creature of darkness and decadence. You are both of those things."
Lilly shook her head and moved towards the door.
"Knowledge changes everything, Vincent; I'm sorry."
She let herself out and hurried back to the truck. Aimee sat up when she felt Lilly's hand on her leg.
"Where's Vincent? I thought he went in after you? He said something about sewer alligators and mutant humans carrying you off."

Vincent
Vincent was already in the truck and when Lilly was in it started and he was there.
"More like free demons, if there are any left on this planet." Vincent relaxed back and let go of the steering wheel, the truck would drive itself now that he was full again. They were only two hours out. He would refill at the ocean.
"Your lucky Aimee, don't have to worry and stress. I do though, I can't keep tabs on Lilly like I can for you, no ring to keep a connection with." Vincent looked over at them both and chuckled.

Aimee Lynne Cox
Aimee scooted over, giving Lilly room to climb in.
"I thought that witch took care of all of those troublesome demons?"
"Wait, so there's more of them?"
Lilly sighed.
"s**t."
Aimee laughed and pretended to have a high-brow, English accent from the 1800's.
"Indubitably, my dear."
She laughed again and turned to Vincent.
"I still worry; how could I not?"

Vincent
Vincent shrugged as Aimee asked a question then Lilly was surprised to know of more.
"You think I was the only one, you've met another. Libby St. Claire. The one who let her charge nearly tear your head off." Vincent growled the last as he did something completely stupid and lay the seat all the way back as the truck continued to cruise unaided at sixty five miles an hour.
"And more still, ones you haven't met yet. My arch-rival Vassili Zaitsev, the first Vampire. Some who aren't with us anymore, lost love Luna." Vincent sighed as he continued to recount names of his brothers and sister.
"Those are the ones I knew about, its a big planet, can't know everything. They called them Oni in China, at least six different sightings of Oni there, never met one. So I don't know if the witch finished us off or captured us all, who cares?" Vincent chuckled knowing this would draw out a retort from Lilly.
"Oh and you don't have to worry anymore then, cause you got me. One of the perks I would say. Money, protection, expanded life span, if I take you to the fountain. The joy of being powerful s at your fingertips." Vincent closed his eyes and let the hum of the truck lull him into a half sleep.

Aimee Lynne Cox
Aimee could feel Lilly shudder against her when Vincent started to name off the other demons in the world. She wrapped an arm around her waist and nuzzled into her, pretending not to notice as the car drove itself. Lilly complied and kissed the top of Aimee's head gently, making Aimee smile.
"Who wants to live for forever? Must get dreadfully boring after a while; everyone is the same. We all act the same throughout history."
She peeked at Vincent from around Lilly's arm.
"I picked that up through my books. I'm not totally brainless about history."
She smiled and returned back her position against Lilly. Aimee adored the way she smelled after art class; it was the smell that would always remind her of Lilly, no matter where she was: oil paints, and turpentine left too long in the sun.
"I don't know. Eternal life. Pretty swell deal, if it's with eternal youth. Be a part of the world, but not. Watching it all march by to the beating of the war drums."
Lilly smiled, and moved to kiss Aimee again, this time on the lips.
"An eternity with you."

Vincent
"Never said eternal, just expanded. I know hundreds that would pay millions to have a hundred more years, two hundred more years. If you bath in the Fountain every year you will extend your life ten years. The ones who protected it from the conquistadors bathed daily. I'm sure they still guard it, with a statue of me there." Vincent laughed lightly as he watched them kiss with relish. They were making him sick. He wanted them to be happy together, but he didn't realize how much it would make him miss his own love. Oh well, could always repent and gain my freedom and then go the way of my siblings.
"You'll maintain your youth for five years more as well. So for every year, you get ten years of life and five of youth. When your three hundred you'll look one hundred and fifty. Simple enough. Though you could always go ask Colette for more. She can actually do what the fountain does with her power." Vincent coughed as he mentioned this.
"Anyways Aimee is right, eternal life is boring. At least when you're not your own master it is. Look at us, slaves to a piece of jewelry cause we thought we were all powerful. Oh well, our hubris has been punished and now we reap the rewards. Can't say its all bad when I finally get a female master. Vassili was the same way to, males all of them and on top of that, old. He never was out of that damned necklace for more than five years. Pathetic." Vincent looked up and then lay back down continuing to let the truck drive itself.

Aimee Lynne Cox
Aimee made a face.
"Look like a hundred and fifty year old? Yeah, no. I intend to die young and beauty and tragically. It's my prerogative as a writer."
"You always say that."
"And you always say that that is your job, not mine. And that if anyone you'll die first, leaving me all alone and lonely."
They shared a laugh, although it seemed a bit strained. Aimee turned back to Vincent when he mentioned Colette.
"Her again? You've mentioned her twice now, but only in passing What is she? Another one of you demons? And Vassili. For hating a guy, he sure comes up in conversations a lot."

"Colette is an enigma to me, I've only met her twice, and both times it was for about ten minutes in passing. Vassili on the other hand, well we were rivals in Rome. I was living in Pompeii and he lived in the heart of Rome. We both competed to out do each other. Till my brother killed Pompeii. Then I moved to Venice, well it wasn't Venice till I flooded it with water and made it better." Vincent laughed lightly as he rolled over so he was looking at her with a grin on his face.
"I don't hate him, I just despise him, he is way worse than I am and he did try to steal Luna from me, and nearly succeeded till I bashed his face in with a tree trunk." Vincent really laughed now as he remembered this. Vincent leaned up and looked back at the bag of snacks and blanched.
"Really, you got enough sugar there Aimee. Enough to give a person a heart attack." Vincent picked up one of the Debbie snacks and sniffed with disgust on his face.
"I was there when they started this company up, at least then it was a slaughterhouse. Now they make sugary confections. Good cause they sucked as a slaughterhouse." Vincent tossed the snack back in the bag and lay back in his seat.

"Are you all related, or something?"
Still away, or seduce? Aimee grinned at Vincent and dug into the plastic bag, recovering a Swiss Roll. She opened it and split half of the cake with Lilly.
"A heart attack? That's the plan; I can't have you sitting on your a** the entire time you're stuck with me."

"Gaia, Volcanis, and Zephyr and I consider ourselves siblings, elemental and all. Luna and her brother came about twenty thousand years later, then Vassili and his sister, who is dead by the way, ******** c**t." Vincent groaned as he stretched again having been woken, well he wasn't really asleep. He didn't want to scare the s**t out of them when he phased.
"Libby and Colette seem to be the youngest, and I know there were more between them and Vassili, seems like every time the human population expanded more of us were born." Vincent opened his eyes which had turned completely crystal blue and he left them that way.
"Now no more questions, unless your willing to answer mine, or strip. Your choice." Vincent laughed as he lifted the seat back up and watched the road for a moment.
"I officially hate driving. Planes are the way to go from now on."

"No fair. You haven't asked us any questions."
Aimee grew pale and vaguely ill with the thought of flying. The Swiss Roll did not agree with her suddenly rolling stomach.
"F...flying? As...in the air? Bu...but they're so...so..."
Words could not adequately express Aimee's phobia of putting her life into the hands of a metal contraption that was designed to flying at nine thousand one hundred and forty odd meters. There was way too much air beneath her feet and the ground, by her standing.

Vincent grinned as he looked over at the blond and smiled and then saw Aimee's look of terror. Afraid of flying, how quaint.
"Yeah in the air, with a mile of air between you and ground. How'd you expect us to get to China, by boat?" Vincent could actually do that, in fact he might raise one of the nice ships.
"Scratch that, when we do go on an epic trip around the world we will use and ship, a big one, crewed by some more interesting creatures." He was talking about his nymphs. He never said he wasn't fertile, just not to humans and being alone for so long made one horny. They weren't going to go into that.
"Alright I'll ask a question, how bad do you want to get in her pants Lilly?" Vincent had a smug look on his face.

"Why are we going to China? And why can't we sail?"
Lilly blushed prettily at Vincent's question, and went so far as to scoot away from Aimee.
"I...I don't think it's any of your buisness what I want to do with her."

Vincent chuckled as Lilly moved away from Aimee and then at Aimee's apparent loss of thought on things due to her fear of flying. Scattered brain much.
"We are going after you guys finish school or this semester, and we are going to sail there, on a ship, an old ship, one I have hidden in the gulf." Vincent chuckled as he turned his attention to Lilly.
"Well then as per our agreement you have to strip, cause you avoided one my questions. Or answer me, your choice." Vincent grinned as he formulated another question.
"That first night we met, the one where we went out to the bench and talked. You were all over me. Did you want to ******** me?" Vincent chuckled as he waited for her response.
