Nikolai couldn't really imagine being so busy but he didn't doubt that people could be. "I would not mind having a family to cook for, if I knew how. And...I would not mind you cooking for me. Maybe I could learn from you so that I can cook for others as well."

I would love to teach you what I know, Misaki said, continuing to eat what was on her plate in her lap. She thought about it a while longer, thinking while she chewed.

Nikolai took another bite, smiling as he did so. He had never imagined that he would be able to eat such food or that he would meet someone so wonderful. "You have done so much for me already... I feel as if I am taking up all of your time."

Nikolai tilted his head. "Are you sure? I am sure others would like to see you as well. I should not be so greedy..." He nibbled lightly on one of the noodles, licking the sause off his lip.

Of course, don't worry. The only other person I spend time with is my mother, and I have not heard from her in over a week, she said with a small frown. I'm not sure what happened, though. I don't think anyone has heard from her.

Luc made a soft, miserable sound, dropping his headinto his hands , raking his fingertips into his hair.
"I don't know what to do ... I don't know ... how ..."
He squeezed his eyes shut, tightly, biting into his bottom lip hard. He would not cry. He could not.
Phelia just grinned, shifting a little as she pulled the dress on and ajusted the sleeves more comfortably.
"Who knows," she said, shyly, sifting through the box, "Maybe after a while I'll see if I can get backinto theatre here in the underground."
She held her breath after saying this, waiting for Saber's reaction. She hadn't been in theatre since before she'd been with Luc. She'd gotten so shy from his constant domineering, she didn't even know if she could do it anymore ...1

Nikolai also frowned a little. "I do hope she is alright. If you do not hear from her shortly, I could help you look for her." If he hadn't heard from his mother in so long, he would have been worried sick, though now it didn't matter so much.
"I think that's be great. I wouldn't mind watching you preform on stage." He then thought for a moment and snorted to himself. "Though I can't say that I'd enjoy love scenes much, if you had to do those. But, I think you'd be great on stage." Was there a theatre in the Underground? He wasn't sure but he could probably find out.

I hope she's alright, too, it's not like her to not talk to her children, she's usually too involved in our lives, Misaki joked. No, really, the only thing that's bothering me is the mental bond we have slightly altered and I'm not sure why... I would love it if you would help me look for her, I have no idea where she might be.

"Mental bond?" He didn't really understand that but he was sure that any altering to it couldn't be good. "Well, do you know where she likes to go? Or maybe she had an emergency to take care of... But we will find her, I am sure."

Yes, mental bond, because we're magic users and she's my mother, Misaki said with a nod. I'm not sure about an emergency that she wouldn't let us know about, or any places she likes to visit... it would be easier to find her if the connection wasn't altered, she sighed sadly.

"I do not know about mental bonds. I did not have one with my mother. So I did not know how to help." He stared at his food, his fork moving a little across the plate. "How is it altered? Is she keeping you from being able to reach her?"

The connection usually feels comfortable, familiar, but now it's colder, and very uninviting... the only thing I can think of is that she is somehow being possessed! Misaki cried out, setting her plate down before throwing her arms around Nikolai.

Nikolai was a little surprised at first but he simply wrapped his arms around her to comfort her. "Possessed? Are you she she is not just stressed or upset about something?"

It is just so unlike her! Misaki whimpered, nuzzling into Nikolai's chest. We must find her and figure things out!
