"Then do something about it." Kai urged, limping after Taki to catch up with him. "If you don't do it for me then do with for her. Whoever she was." Kai said, drawing level with Taki and slowing down. "Please."

"Eh?" Sacha asked.

Kisa sighed. "Taki came to me today to ask about a resistance movement here." She held up her hand to stop Sacha's reply before it reached his lips. "I said no then but I'm going to go and find him tomorrow and ask him."

Sacha shook his head. "Fayina... You can't you know how those things always end. I'm still going to have to go through the process and you'll probably be killed for being involved at all."

Kisa hid her head in Sacha's shoulder. "But that's it! I don't care if I die and you're not here. If you go so will I."

Kai sighed and nodded before limping into the room Taki had opened. At least he didn't shoot me down completely. He thought with some satisfaction. That meant that at least there was some chance of Taki helping him. "Where are we?" He asked Taki, turning around to look at him.

Sacha sighed and pushed Kisa slightly away from himself, making her look up questioningly.

"You can't do that." He said firmly.

"You can't stop me." She said, scowling at him. "I'm sick of Biovolt doing whatever it wants with us. Hell, if it wasn't for you I wouldn't be thinking about this and I would think that it was ok for them to do this to you." Kisa sighed.

Sacha shook his head. "It is ok for them to do this." He told her gently. "Remember, we don't exist."

"But we do." Kisa said, annoyed that Sacha hadn't got her point. "If I can find Taki I might be able to help fixing it."

"No." Sacha said firmly. "Just let it go."

"I can't" Kisa said fiercely. "Because that would mean letting go of you. And I'm not prepared to do that."

Sacha sighed and Ran his hand along Kisa's shoulder, searching for the right pressure point without seeming to. When he found it he squeezed it firmly.

Kisa made a small noise before her eyes rolled back in her head and she fell limply back on to Sacha's bed. "I'm sorry." Sacha whispered, kissing her on her cheek. "I love you." He told Kisa's unconscious form.

Kai looked at the mess of the room and smiled. It reminded him of Tala's place. "It's homey." he told Taki, looking around for a place to sit. "I would have though Biovolt would give you a pissy small room." He said conversationally.

Sacha closed his eyes, trying to focus on what he had to do. He didn't want Kisa to hurt herself in any way for him. He didn't think he could live with himself if she did that. It was better that she hate him than die because of him.

Sacha sat up and carefully extracted himself from the blankets before going to check outside the room. He saw no one outside and quickly turned back to gather up Kisa's small body in his arms.

He ghosted along the passageway until he reached her room and unlocked it. Kisa barely stirred when Sacha placed her on the bed gently, tucking the blankets around her lovingly. "I'm sorry." He whispered again, running his hand down the side of her face and smiling sadly down at her.

Before he could reverse the decision he had made, Sacha turned and left Kisa's room, distancing himself from the one thing that could make him change his mind.

Sacha began to walk along the halls with one purpose. Where are you Ralef? He wondered.

((Eep! Ominous))

Rei leant on the bathroom's sink heavily, watching the water run out of the tap hopelessly. He put his hand underneath the tap and scooped it into his mouth, swilling it around and spitting it out, watching it run down the sink before repeating the process.

He did this about five times before taking another handful of water and splashing it over his face. I hate this He decided as he shook his head and wiped his face clear of most of the water.

Rei looked at himself in the mirror before turning away, not liking what he saw. He walked out of the bathroom and turned right, heading towards Kevin's quarters. He had some new information for him.

Sacha found the labs and opened the door, looking inside. "Hello?" He called. When he received no answer, Sacha sighed and looked around for somewhere to sit. Ralef could be anywhere.

"You had friends?" Kai asked, raising his eyebrows. "No offense, but it seems like everyone hates you." He found a random seat and sat down, looking at his leg and prodding it gingerly. "Ow." He muttered. Getting back on task he looked up at Taki. "Or is that just everyone in power now?"

Sacha pushed himself off the bench he had chosen to sit on and landed on the ground. "I want you to begin copying Kai's memory into mine." He told the scientist quietly, holding his gaze steadily. "Now."

"Well everyone who we've met seems to have a grudge against you." Kai elaborated. He looked at the blood seeping through his pant leg with an expression of revulsion. "Can I grab some more bandages?" He asked Taki.

He looked up at his semi-friend. "Why don't they like you? Is it something you did?"

Rei found Kevin's door with ease, he could have found the green-haired boy's room in his sleep if he so chose. He had walked this route many times. He knocked quietly on the door, knowing that Kevin would be able to hear him.

That boy had damn good hearing.

Rei took a step back and hugged himself loosely. As much as he knew that what he was doing was helping the resistance movement it didn't make him feel any better.

Come on, Kevin. Open up

Sacha's eyes narrowed. "And I don't have time to wait until tomorrow." He insisted, ignoring the feeling of relief in his belly at Ralef's words. "Do it now."

"Thanks." Kai said as he took the first aid kit and opened it, digging through it until he found a bandage. He search through it some more until he found a pair of scissors and began to cut off the pant leg that was covering his wound. Seems I'm destined to destroy any pants I wear he thought as he finished cutting it off. He pulled the now useless piece of material off his leg, hissing in pain as the dried blood stuck to the cut.

He quickly began to take off his old, now almost completely torn up bandage and looked around for somewhere to put it. He shrugged and put it down next to himself, vowing that he'd find somewhere to put it later. Kai made a face at the cut. It didn't look to good. He reached back into the first aid kit to find something to clean it again.

When he had found what he was looking for he looked up at Taki and noticed that he was looking at a photograph. "Who is it?" He asked quietly.

Rei nodded his thanks as he stepped past Kevin and into his room. "Hey." He said quietly, sitting down on Kevin's bed. "I just came back from Boris." Rei said, rubbing his eyes and looking at Kevin. "Please tell me that whatever you and Mariah are planning that it's going to happen soon." He said pleadingly. "I..." He trailed off, making a conscious decision not to say anymore. "Anyway. I found out some more things that might help you guys."

Sacha sighed and walked back to the bench he had been sitting on and doing so once again. "Then get ready quickly." He told Ralef in a voice much calmer than he felt. "I'm not leaving here until it's done."

Kai made a face at Taki as he began to bandage himself up again. "No. When he's around I go through a lot of shirts." He told Taki, finishing up wrapping the bandage tightly and smirking at the memory of the many ripped shirts Tala had caused. He pushed himself out of his seat and walked over to the photo of Taki and Kiana. "Is this the person you were talking about to Ralef in the labs?" He asked.

Rei sighed and nodded. "I know." He said quietly before going back into business mode. "So you do know that he's back? Good. Did you know that he brought back two other people with him?" He asked. Not waiting for an answer he continued, "One of them is Agent #2347 who was sent out to monitor Bryan Kusnetov because he had some sort of connection to the guy who's meant to give Biovolt ultimate power or some other such crap."

Rei brushed his hair out of his eyes and continued. "The other was the guy. His name's Kai Hiwatari." Rei frowned as he tried to remember what else he'd learned. "Kai was sent down to the labs for Ralef to test him if he was the right person but Boris think's that there's no doubt that he is." Rei shrugged. "He said something about the colour of Kai's eyes or something." He rubbed his temples, trying to fight off sleep. Rei hadn't managed to get any for three straight days and it was starting to take it's toll on him. "Anyway, Agent #1096 is going to be sent out in Kai's place. The procedure is going to take place tomorrow..." Rei checked his watch. "Today. At some time." Rei yawned widely. "Does that help at all?" He asked.

Sacha nodded. "I'll be waiting." He told Ralef, leaning against the wall of the lap and closing his eyes, trying to forget what he was waiting for. I'm sorry Fayina. I hope you understand

Kai took the pants off his head and held them at arms length, scrutinising them for a second before putting them down. "Thank you." He said shortly before looking at the photo of Taki and Kia one more time. They look so happy

Kai shook his head, clearing his mind of those thoughts. "Where can I get changed?" He asked.

"#1096's assimilation." Rei told Kevin. "I don't know when whatever they want Kai for is going to take place. As soon as I do you'll know." He promised.
