Phimi's walk slowed, wondering what Tsubasa was trying to say. Her face warmed as she turned, giving him a tiny smile in effort. "You... have a nice smile too..." She flicked her eyes away before feeling something brush her leg. Jumping with a yelp, she looked down at a yellow feather, having not noticed that they'd caught up to them. She looked at Tsubasa with round eyes. Oddly enough, instead of digging a hole to hide her head in, she started to giggle, which swiftly turned into a soft laugh. She was laughing at herself!

Tsubasa's smile grew. "That's better." He said fighting not to laugh at her reaction to the feather, "If I had known that you'd react to the feather that way I would have steered you around it.... or are you hiding the fact that you secretly hate feathers?" He gave her a wink before laughing.

Phimi shook her head, trying to keep her laughing under control. "No, I like feathers. They..." A slight blush warmed her cheeks as she remembered when they first met. "They make me think of angels. It just suprised me, is all." She smiled warmly, voice thoughtful. "They're probably why I seemed to relax around you quicker than I do with others."

Tsubasa chuckled as he got his laughter under control. "I can see how they remind you of angels. Angels do have feathers after all." He said tilting his head and then laughing, "Perhaps but please don't go around viewing me as an angel. Only Madoc and Eirwen are allowed that. They are the ones who found me after all... surrounded with feathers. They said I was like a gift from heaven at the time."

Phimi nodded. "I don't think there'd be a way to hide you're wings if you had them, and angels have wings." She cocked her head. "Madoc and Eirwen. Are they your parents? So you were found too?"

Tsubasa grinned. "It would be so cool to have wings though! Think of all the feathers I'd have!" He said nodding, "Yeah they're my adoptive parents. I don't know who my real ones are but they take care of me. Yes they found me. Right after they had found each other again."

"Yes... wings would be nice." If she'd had wings, maybe those big monsters with the wings wouldn't have scared her so much. Things would have been more equal.
"My mother adopted me after I was rescued. I don't know my real parents either." Smiles sadly at their unfortunate common ground. Well, who knew? Maybe they both were better off not knowing their birth parents?

"Mmmhmm." Tsubasa said nodding, "Wings would be so cool." He paused as they reached the lawn close to the porch. He looked at her and shook his head. "I guess we should be so lucky to have been adopted by our current parents. We wouldn't be the same if not."

Phimi nodded thoughtfully. "That is true. Though, I can't help but be curious if your parents had feathers follow them around as well." She gasped softly and looked away. "I'm sorry, you have probably wondered enough about that yourself."

Tsubasa shook his head. "Well now that you mentioned it, I wonder if they did have feathers follow them." He said, "It's alright. I've never really thought about my real parents. No point in dwelling in the past and on parents who never wanted me when I've got my future ahead of me and parents who do want me."

Phimi looked back up smiling again. "That is also true." Her tail wagged slowly along the ground as she started to feel better. "And... new friends to look forward to?" She asked shyly.

"Of course! New friends are always great!" Tsubasa said smiling, "..... We're friends by now right?" He wagged his tail hopefully at her letting her make the call on their friendship.

Phimi nodded, her tail quickening happily. "I'd like to say so." She said with a giggle. "You know... outside my pack, you're my very first friend." She smiled bashfully. "It... it sounds like... I should, um, get out. More."

Tsubasa grinned and wagged his tail quickly. "That's great! A new friend." He said laughing, "Don't worry. You're my first friend outside my pack too. I guess we both need to get out more."

Phimi's smile brightened. Her first friend! She got up and rubbed her head against his affectionatly. "Friends. This is so exciting!" She giggled, pouncing on the feather that had startled her a moment ago.
