"M-mother!?" Rakuna said, shocked.

Rakuna fell strangely silent, a dark mood was settling over him. "So, she's doing that again, huh?"
"Hmph! Lady Savira is a noble and strong woman! She took me in and raised me to be perfect for you! Then, when my training was complete, she had me sent to you to take care of you until the day of our agreed marriage!!!" Kioki stated boldly with determination.
"I'm sorry... Kyo-or-whatever-san, but..." Raknua drapped his arm around Austin's shoulders. "This guy here is my chosen 'mate'. I won't accept any one else. I won't let mother nor father change that. So please, I'm thrilled you came all this way to 'meet' me, but I must send you back as soon as you're well enough to walk." His tone was a fortified one. His eyes glowed with a sleeping warmth.

Austin's face lit up and he hugged Rakuna back. "I'm glad I'm your mate." Austin said happily.
The girl huffed as she crossed her arms. "I was sent here to be married!" She yelled glaring at Austin. "Why choose this hume over me?!"

Rakuna smiled at Austin's words. But frowned at the fox-girl's persistence. "Simple. Since the first time I heard Austin's voice, my heart was his. The fact I actually went to great lengths to meet him made me realize I'd never accpet anyone more nor less. That's why he's my chosen soulmate."

"No, he didn't. I'm immune to his voice's power. It's just a nice tune to me. All the same though, it's a tune that makes my heart throb with an intensity far greater than the sun. Tell me, can you do better? I doubt it. And even if you could, I've already chosen Austin. I won't change my mind."

Rakuna looked down at Kioki. "I'm sorry. I really am, but my mind is set." He stepped forward and wiped a tear away. "But think of it this way, you can live your life freely now. Foxes love to be free in the mountains and in towns during harvest seasons. Right?" He smiled with idiotic kindness.

"Ah. No. He doesn't carry a cell-phone. Only I do. The most I could get out of him was a house phone for here. Any other time I need him he just shows up on his on. He was reliable like that." Rakuna explained. "Geez. How troublesome." He crossed his arms.
Kioki blinked. In her mind... Eh? He thinks that...I am reliable? But if I had a cell-phone, he'd now about this by now. I couldn't risk it. Sorry, Raku.
