"So, how was your night sleeping in a different place?" Kara asked as she read, knowing how it must be sleeping in a place you weren't too sure of.

She smiled softly. "I can sleep anywhere when Stefan's here. If I had to sleep alone I'd be terrified, but that wasn't the case." she was a bit shy about talking about Stefan to her, it would force Kara to look at him as a grown up, and she didn't want to make that hard...

Kara chuckled and nodded. "You should have seen him in his teen years dear. He would sneak girls over here and they would leave right after because they were afraid that my moody a** would find them and scold them till there was no skin left. Or turn into a bear and eat them." That was slightly her fault. When Stefan was in grade school she got huffy at a teacher and shifted in front of the class. She didn't hurt anyone but scared a bunch of people.

Clear giggled "Yes he seemed to lament not having settled down in those times when I met him. He doesn't like young girls he said. I'm not sure what he thinks I am." she mused

She chuckled and looked over at Clear. "Apparently mature enough to marry and have a child with. And still have that spark a young person has. If you know what I mean." She said with a wink.

Clear found Kara quite hysterical and charming. She couldn't have asked for a better mother in law. " I was going to ask... do you think Stefan's father will be in town for the wedding?"

]"I really don't know dear. But I will beat him to a bloody pulp if he misses his own son's wedding. I'd kill him." She said with a growl in her throat. You could tell she didn't like how often he left, and she knew how disappointed Stefan was with his dad.

"Well I will corner him soon for you dear. Maybe hearing that he is going to be a grand dad and a father in law will get him to stick around a little more, so he doesn't miss out on much else." She said as she finished the file and placed it aside, starting on another one.

"Thats easy. Had Stefan when I was 15. Greg was 19 at that point. We hadn't seen each other for years and we hit it right off. Big romantic thing in the library of a school that my uncle owned and then in a cave. He stuck around a lot then, so it was really easy to stay in love with him. And now I can't get rid of that love and I thank it every day because that is what brings him home every time. Now, putting up with how much he is gone with that dad of his, that is a different story." She said as she finished that file as well, going to another one.

"Stefan seeks a job here, so he wont have to be away very often, if at all, but I think he's to preoccupied to ask, and I don't want him to ask too late." Clear said next.

"There is always something he can do here. Hell, he can even do this for a few days. God knows there is enough paper to last forever." She said with a chuckle. "He will guts up eventually and when he does there are plenty of jobs here for him to stay."
