"I just want to protect you from..well, me," He says, sighing again. "Is that so bad?"

"It is when your way of protecting me hurts worse than anything that could come from being with you." One pale hand comes up to grab his and gently squeeze his fingers. "No matter what you might think, you're worth the risk of giving it one more shot." A grin finally plays at the corner of Iri's mouth. "But I can promise you, nothing's going to happen to me, and I won't let anything happen to you. It's the Fury part of me. I'm just mean enough to ward off anything that could happen. I was that way with Amae, remember?"

"What makes you think I deserve that one more shot, Iri?" He is as unsure as his voice makes him sound, but he can't resist squeezing her hand back.

The grin turns into a real smile. Keeping hold of his hand, Iri turns to face him. Her other hand reaches down to grab his free hand, and her wings fall back out of the way. She's already shivering a little, but she doesn't seem to notice.
"Nothing I'll ever say will make you think you deserve another shot, Reeve. It's just how you are. The best I can do, is tell you that you I love my life the most when you're with me. And I love you, very much. Those are the best reasons I can imagine. But what about me? Do I deserve another chance?"

He doesn't have a real, verbal response. His instinctive, and only real reaction since she has his hands, is to move in close, and as he does, he kisses her softly.

In his sleep, Ookamimaru is catching prey again, and as he moves, part of the quilt gets shoved off.
Part of his left arm and face are now viewable.
A stinging sensation became part of them, and Ookamimaru openen a luminous eye. Something was wrong, very wrong. The stinging became harsher and as he looked at is arm, he saw to his astonishment that it had started to change. How is this... He looked through the window with fright, already knowing what he was going to see. The biggest full moon, the wolf moon was shining in the sky, throwing a spooky light into the chamber, an on Ookamimaru.
He quickly threw the quilt over him, and tried to think what could have gone wrong. Through his calculations, it would be another night till the next full moon. How could he be wrong? An awkward thought spooked through his head. Could it be? Could it be that Tobu fooled me? That he made me think that so I couldn't be away on time? He felt betrayed, betrayed by himself, by a part of himself.
Being under the quilt wouldn't stop the transformation; it would only slow it down. His left arm was covered with a layer of black fur, and as he felt his face, there too, was a layer.
He had to get out of here, to protect these people from Tobu. The only way to do that quick enough was by growing Tobu's wings. He stumbled off the bed, throwing the quilt from him and stood with his back to the window. Immediately everything started to sting, but with his new knowledge of chakra, he concentrated Tobu's chakra to the points where his wings would grow as much as he could.
Small stubs started to form at the height of his shoulder blades. They quickly grew bigger and soon, they looked like two extra arms. The fingers grew longer and longer and between them, a black-colored skin layer started to form. What would be our pinky, ring finger and middle finger grew the largest, as they became almost as long as himself. The index finger became half the length of the middle finger, and could still be used to grab thing together with his thumb, which stayed small. Each of the fingers had a pointy claw at the end.
Fur started to grow on his back as he ran to the window and tried to open it. Because it took to long to figure out how that had to be done, he broke it out of frustration and he quickly climbed on, and jumped out of it, spreading his wing wide. Flapping to get higher, he flew straight to the moon, attracted by its power.

Tier's single yellow eye saw something strange from behind it. He turned around from the silent Kwubara and saw a sudden spike of chakra from inside the Rai Dojo. Tier was going to go back inside to see but then there was the sound of a window being smashed out. He looked up from the origin of the sound and saw something flying upwards at the moon. That's the wolf-boy Tier saw with Ren.. one of the newer students. Tier continued to watch from the ground and observed Ookamimaru's movements through air. There were parts in Ookamimaru's body that had different chakra signatures from that of a human. Tier's hands were lifted from his sides; raised slightly in the air.

She let's go of his hands, only to reach up and loosely wrap her arms around his neck, and leans into his kiss. And then...
Crash! And the sound of flapping wings. In response to the disturbance, the spy that caught it begins to feed her more information. Ookamimaru's scent, fur sprouting all over, he's grown massive wings, his body changing. The boy's distressed, so much so that Iri can smell it in his scent. And finally his direction.
Iri's hands come down to Reeve's shoulders, and she gently pushes him away. As she breaks the kiss, she gasps just a little. Then she looks in the direction of the moon. Sure enough, some winged thing is headed straight for it, like a moth to the flame. If her spies didn't assure her as to the boy's identity, she would have taken him for another intruder. What's happening now?
"s**t. I had really hoped the rest of the evening would be quiet." She looks back to Reeve with an apologetic smile, then reaches up, holds his face in her hands, and kisses him again. A little roughly this time, in her haste. When she pulls back, her wings snap open and she takes a few steps back. "If that wasn't a silent 'yes', then I'm going to be very disappointed."
Grinning with mischief, Iri makes a powerful leap, and both wings make that perfectly timed downstroke. Once she's in the air, she's tailing Ookamimaru, her wings filled with more air to make her faster. He won't get away from her.
Jin makes it outside just in time to see Iri take off. The dragon curses under his breath and looks toward the moon. He had sensed his classmate's spike in energy, heard the window break, and opened his own window in time to see the boy f***ing fly away! Not that this isn't a normal thing, but Jin thinks it strange that a wolf boy grew wings.
He looks down at himself. He grabbed his sword, but had foregone his armor. So he's standing there in black hakama, foot and forearm wrappings, and sword strapped to his hip. If Ookamimaru's gone psycho, Jin may be a little vulnerable.
The dragon looks to Reeve with a little concern. "We jus' stand around' 'n hope she can handle 'im?"

Flying higher, up in the cold, Ookamimaru's thoughts started to blur with bloody images. He always has them when it's full moon, but now he's trying to surpress it for long enough to be at a safe distance for everyone, it seems to get even worse. It wasn't the physical change he was afraid of. Tobu was a savage beast that would most likely slaughter anything on it's path. Tobu's thought where already emerging with his own. "Why am I flying away of these tasty chunks of meat?" "Because they are too powerfull for me." "Too powerfull? With such a great moon? I must be kidding"
The dark energy was surpressing the light one in his brain. To care for it that Tobu won't take over his thought, Ookamimaru tried to gather all his energy to his brains, so he could think more clearly. "I won't kill them" "No, I won't, humans don't taste too well." "I would rather have some deer."
Because the light energy was now pulled away from the rest of his body, the dark one took over, and he started to tranform at a higher rate. Fur was now growing everywhere, and arms and legs where almost done transforming. His hips deformed so that he wouldn't be able to stand upright, and his tail was even getting longer. His nose and jaws grew forward and his fangs grew larger. The muscles in his wings grew bigger, he was now flying even faster.

Lina woke up with annoyance as something made her spies alert her. After a moment to see what was happening she started running out the door and up the stairs, wearing a cloak as she exited and stumbling a few times zipping up the back of a skin tight bodysuit as she ascended to the roof. Once there she shot up to the top of one of the lightning rods and tried to get a good view, drawing in from the higher concentration of ambient energy at her position to recharge a little.

"Ookamimaru! Wait!"
The Fury has caught up to him. She's about ten feet behind him, now slowing to keep some distance.
Iri isn't afraid of Ookamimaru. She's afraid of what's happening to him. Why didn't the kid mention this to her? Sprouting wings and transforming under the full moon doesn't seem important? Well, he does have some pretty poor social skills. Maybe he just doesn't know how to bring these sorts of things up. And it really shouldn't worry her that badly. After all, when she gets pissed, she grows fangs and claws, her eyes start to glow, and some ancestral being starts talking to her like she's got multiple personality disorder. But, she can practically feel the kid's bloodlust. When he's been nothing but sweet, polite, and eager to learn thus far, his sudden change in demeanor worries Iri.
"Stop, kid! Let me help!"

Despite the wind blowing in his face, he still heared Iri calling him. This can't be! But is is. If I can't loose her in the air, I'll loose her in the bushes. Where she can't see me, but where I can see her. With those thoughts, Ookamimaru dove down, into the safe darkness of the forest. He wouldn't have any problems in seeing, since he can see as good at night as during the day.

Lina watched him fall and dashes off in the direction they went on her skates. With the woods this near her home catching up would be easier. She'd listen to whatever Iri suggested since his entrance timing seemed to indicate he was one of her group.

s**t...
Iri's eyes flash for a moment, and her energy spikes. Other than that, there's no outward indication that she's done anything. She dives after Ookamimaru. The Fury expertly threads through the limbs of the trees and lands so lightly she makes almost no noise. Once she settles, Iri focuses on creating more spies. The tiny balls of air and chakra begin to brighten, fueled by a little extra energy from their creator, taking on the appearance of will-o-the-wisps. They hang around Iri for a while as she mentally instructs them. After that, the spies take off into the forest, only a few staying to light Iri's immediate surroundings. Iri doesn't do anything after that. She's looking, listening, and smelling.
A spy alerts Iri to Lina's movements. Without looking in the direction of the approaching woman, Iri reaches out with her mind.
"Be stealthy, Lina. I don't know what's happened to him. Ookamimaru is my student. I don't know him well yet, but I've studied him enough to know that something's not right with the way he's acting. If you see him, and he reacts violently, don't kill him. Capture him or incapacitate him, but try not to bring him any real harm. Understood?"

He landed with a loud thump on the forest floor and after folding his wings on his back, he ran further away, on four feet. If people would see him now, they wouldn't think of him as a human. His physical transformation was nearly complete, though the light energy is still in control in the brains. It tried to fool the dark one. Maybe there is some deer deeper in the forest, further away from here. Why am I scared of her? I can just bite her head off and have hér for dinner. Supper. Yeah, supper. I think deer is better for supper. Why do I think that? I think deer tastes better that human. That's no human, that's a bird. I still think she wouldn't taste very good, she's too skinny. Maybe I'm right, there's not much but feathers and bones to a pigeon. Let's go find some deer. No. No? I want boar. Ok then, boar. He kept running.
