[ Not too bad smile I've got 3 more paragraphs to do, then i've got to hack it back to get my word count. I'm writing it now and then hopping on here to post -tee hee. My flatmates are studying with me, and we've got christmas songs playing mrgreen ]

Adam sat on Sin's bed watching the holes in his wrist heal up.
"Teach her how to go to Earth and trya nd keep her there as long as possible I suppose. Figure out what they mean by 'pieces' up there."

Natasha turned a corner, heaidng onto a motorway. Gabriel squeaked in surprise as she gained about anotehr 30mph in speed.

"Ah....sure thing...." Dougal replied. He still wasn't used to having the leadership role that Adam kept giving him.
Dougal went over to Aisling-asking her to show her the way out of the palace through the servent corridors. Aisling nodded. Then just as Dougal reached for her hand she rushed over to Sin and gave her a hug.
"Thank you," Aisling said again, "Aisling shall consider you as her older sister." She then let Sin go. She smiled and returned to Dougal's side.
"Guess we'll see each later....." Dougal said to Adam. He then turned to Sin. "Your highness," Dougal said with a bow.
Aisling waved goodbye and then the pair were gone.

Opal tumbled over in the sack from the turn. "How much longer until we reach where ever we are going," Opal asked. From the tone of her voice it seemed clear that she preferred Gabriel's flying compared to Natasha'a driving.

A car speeds down a street. Black hair. A feather. Dark...A deep voice booms, demon horns two figures moving in the...
Delia awoke, sitting straight up. It had been a month since she had seen things in her mind. Breathing heavily Delia stood up and leaned on the nearest tree.

Once outside the palace Dougal carried Aisling on his back. Despite the extra weight Dougal still remained faster than a majority of demons. He dashed through the city appeared as nothing more as a shadowed blur....but at all times kept his senses alert for Beelio's presence.
The pair ran through the gates towards the gate to the human world. Dougal dashed through Hell's valleys with gate speed. He only had to stop once due to some scavenger demon's that crossed their path. Dougal quickly eliminated the threat with ease however was taken by surprise by one when it jumped out from a rock.
"Brother!" Aisling yelled out as she reached out her hand.....
"What?!" Dougal turned around quickly and was face to face with a scavenger...encased in ice. "Huh?" Dougal said as he glanced at Aisling.
Aisling looked shocked and she stared down at her hands. "Well....I guess we have an idea of what your new demonic powers are...." Dougal smiled. "Come on-its only a little farther now."
The pair finally made it the the gateway......
Dougal let Aisling off his back. He took a firm grip on Aisling's shoulders, "Alright....I tell what Adam told me when I first did this....."
Dougal explained the process and Aisling nodded to let him now that she understood. She stared at the gateway and held Dougal's hand. "You'll do fine," Dougal said squeezing her hand in reassurence.
Aisling took a deep breath and closed her eyes...."Just concentrate on that church back at that mansion where we first met up again," Dougal said.
Aisling nodded....she relaxed her muscles and concentrated.......She then felt Dougal hugging and he said, "Great job."
Aisling opened her eyes and saw that they were standing under the tree near the chapel where Aisling first befriended Adam.

Sin's eyes widened in surprise at the hug - the first bit of genuine affections he ahd felt in...well, ever. She was dumbstruck and stuttered on whatever words she had trie dot get out. embarassed and touched she turned away and folded her arms, sinking into herself while they left. She stood for some time, facing teh wall, aware of Adam still sat on teh bed, probably wtaching her.
she collecetd her emotions together, but her voice was still a little shaky.
" Why arent you going with them?" She aksed.
"Dougal needs to stay on his own two feet. i need to collect more souls before I join them, and heal."
Sin nodded and looked up, her eyes resting on a picture of her wall. Occasionally her Father and his demons brought her newspapers from earth- constantly fileld with death and destruction, every damn day. But here on the wall, hidden under the obituary of a murder victim were a few sentances that she had found long ago amongst the text.
Harry Spencer died on Tuesday of old age, surrounded by his family. Fostered 17 children in his life. Friends and Neighbors say he will be surely missed. Funeral open to public to pay last respects. Father, husband, gentleman.
She read that text again, trying to picture teh scene of love around a dying man, but until now she had always come short, unable to picture it trhough waves of cynicism. But she had kept teh text, as it niggle dat her. Now she felt she could picture it a little clearer, the man's sons and daugters lenaing in to giev him a warm hug. a smile. A father's real love.
She dipped her head agin and felt tears slide donw her face. she didn't stop them, but remained silent and still.
"Adam?" she siad evetually, her voice even but quiet.
"Yes?"
"Is Earth...." she serached for a way to articulate her question. "Is my Earth real?"
Adam blinked at her in confusion.
"Your earth?"
"The one my father and my gaurds show me. The one of the majority of the newspapers.Al teh war and death and sadness.... is that real?"
Adam paused. "Yes."
"All of it?"
"No. A thousand galaxies of no. There is much more" Adam was intirgued by sin's mood, and a little afraid of what it meant.
Sin smiled to herself. "I want to see the real Earth one day." she let ehr hair hand in fornt fo her face and flicked her tail at him when a farmilar sense crossed her mind.
"You may leave now. Father is coming."
Adam pause,d wanting to continue, but she turned deeper away form him. "Get out." she snapped.
Adam left by the balcony, and sin turned her eyes back upto the picture and finally began to sob.

"not long now." Natsahs siad as they left the motorway and headed down an A-road and then into more country roads. Gabriel watched the leaves of the trees pass by in quiet contentment.
[ poor sin. I'm liking ehr more and more as a character...]

Opal watched the scenery through Gabriel's eyes. As Beelio's puppet she never took time to just watch nature....or anything really for that matter. She sighed.

Natasha eventually puleld into the huge driveway fo the mansion and got out.
"wer;e back." she smiled at the building - her old friend. it had felt liek an age sicne she last saw it, yet it hadn't even been a day. she gave a happy sigh and Gabril clibed out too.
"decadent." he siad, though it wasn't a judgement.

Adam took the oppertunity to shift to Earth and gather his souls, all the while keeping his senses alert for any clues as to what the pieces meant, studying the demon-related deaths with most interest.

Dougal heard a door close and looked out the window. When he recognized who it was he took Aisling by the hand and went to the door. Dougal took a deep breath-hoping that Lady Helsing won't shoot him on sight. He opened the door and stepped out.....

"Ah!"
Natasha span and fire a gun before she'd had time ot thin twice/ Gabriel quickly made a jering motion with hsi finger and the bulet deflected to teh right, smashing into a vase.
there was stunned silence as Natasha stared at Dougal and finally recognised Aisling. She continued ot look at them while she spoke to Gabriel.
"If you coudl do that, why the hell didn't you when our asses were getting ahnded to us?!"
gabriel gave a sweet smile. Natasha still aimed her gun at Dougal.
"What do you want?"

Meanwhile, sin wiped her face with one hand and heard the door open. She didn't need to turn around to guess who it was.
"Father i-" she then stoped and truend, confronted face to face with beelio. She hesitated then growled.
"Who the hell alloweddyou in here?! If my father hears of this-"
Her voice was cut off by Beelio;s hand gripping around her throat. she gagged.
" He is out with Mammon. Whileever you are a life, child, you must fear death, correct?" Sin's eyes widened. Beelio lenat in closer, his featureless face milimetres form her own.
"I had a nice little chat with Mestopheles. It seems that the little princess has been meddling where she doens't belong. I have not lost something precious to me because of you? So I will glady accept compensation...."
[du-duh-duuh!]

Dougal kneeled to the ground and held his hands up where Natasha could see them. "I came to ask for your assisstance," Dougal replied nervously.
Opal plopped half way out of the sack around Gabriel's neck when she heard Dougal's voice. Through Gabriel's eyes she saw Dougal and the new demonizied Aisling. She waved to them.

Natasha;s eyes narrowed.
"i'm still not entirely sure if you're evil or not." she looked up at Aisling. "Are you ok?"
Gabriel watched in interest. His attention was then caught by a spider dangling down form the ceiling and landing in his hair. he blinked and folowed it as it crawled down onto his face and rested on his nose.
"hm."
[ i know! *suspense* possibly a fast forward needed for the nastiness ><]
