"Yeah, I suppose i was saving your life," Renatus said, putting his wine on the bar, "but I you weren't trying to get me hurt. Besides, it was my choice to save you."

Lucinda smiled a little wider. "Why would I want to get rid of someone who could be such an effective body guard," she said, teasingly.

Renatus laughed, smiling. His laughter slowed and he looked at Lucinda's eyes. He then blushed and nursed his drink, whipping his head forward as if he saw something he weren't supposed to.

Renatus looked down, still blushing. "Nothing." he said, obviously lying, "I-Its nothing."

Lucinda turned so she was facing him more. "Renatus, please talk to me," she asked of him.

Renatus looked up. He turned his head and looked into Lucinda's eyes. He blushed a little harder. He gulped. "I-I can't" He said turning away. He spun around in his chair and walked out of the den. He paced to the outskirts of the village and leaned against a tree. He slid down until he was sitting. "What's wrong with me?" He thought.

Lucinda looked after him, reaching out to try and stop him, but it was too late. "Renatus..." she said once he was gone. What was going on? Had she offended him or something?

Renatus tilted his head back against the tree, looking up at it's branches and canopy. He held his limbs close to his body, insecurely. He sighed heavily. "I feel weird." He thought to himself, referring to the feeling he had. It was like a light tickle, but was urgent.

Lucinda sighed and looked down at her juice. She was trying to figure out what she could have done to make him mad.
She was so deep in thought that she didn't notice that she had caught the attention of some men across the room until they approached her and sat down next to her.
"What's wrong, sweetheart?" one of them asked, putting his fingers under her chin so she looked at him. "Boyfriend dumped you?"

Renatus felt the need to apologize. "That was not how I should have handled that..." He thought. Explanations ran through his head, but he came up with nothing.
