Umemi sighs as she enters the okiya which is now certainly her home, she looks around and see's that nothing is different but perhaps they have gotten some new girls? she ponders this question as she slips inside quietly and makes her way down to the main area to see who indeed was about.

Amattyan got up and dumped out the buckets of water she had used on the porch and made her way to possibly wash her hands and help the cook or clean the kitchen.
As she neared the kitchen she stopped and walked and a slower pace, taking in the size of the Okiya. She suddenly felt small. She sped back up and entered the kitchen and began helping with makeing a odd rice.

Akemi scanned the fish stall with Amaya when she heard a voice behind her. She looked behind and there was Sakura beaming brightly, "Hello Sakura-chan! Have you come to join us? What do we have to buy again, Amaya?" She asked. She sighed and shook her head, "I have such a terrible memory!"

Sakura talked for a while with the other 2 girls and helped them pick out food. After Sakura bought some food then returned to the okiya, Sakura walked into the kitchen and saw Amattyan, "Konnichiwa Amattyan, how are you today?" Sakura asked as she put away the food she just bought.

Amattyan bowed to Sakura and smiled. "I'm wonderful, still a bitat lost to what I need to be doing though.. hahaha." She chopped up what appeared to be beef, and began to cook it to add to the rice.

"A maiko is not too proper for housework." Ayame repeated to herself softly. She pulled open the screens of the maiko's quarters and there lay a mess of a maiko's appliances; everyday kimonos, futons, blankets and pillows, in a slightly untidy pile. She began to sort out them out, futons with futons, blankets folded neatly, pillows stacked evenly, and sorted the kimonos by colours.

Sakura noticed Ayame cleaning the maiko room and went in to help her, since Sakura proabably contributed to the mess. "Hello Ayame-san." Sakura said

Amattyan continued cooking, stirring the rice and flipping the beef as needed. Eventually she stopped the beef and added it to the rice, stirring it in and around. She smiled and added some spices in and began scooping it into a few bowls for people who would be ready for lunch.

Umemi saw the girls chatting together and smiled to herself as she quietly walked up to them "hello my girls and how are you today?" Umemi asked politely. "I am sorry for have been away on business for so long but I am back now" she nodded as an explanation for her absence. "Is there anything at all that I might need to be informed upon?" Umemi asked.

dark of the matinee The dread lifted off her heart almost immediately. "Really?" she asked, surprised and happy. Thank you!" She gave Tora a friendly hug. "Most certianly!" Tora smiled, returning the hug.

When Amaya returned she began to put the fish away. When this task was completed she went around cleaning anything that needed it in the Okiya. She was very lonely and very sad. But continued with her work anyways.

Serena remembered there were a few things to tell okaa-san.
"Some of our young maids have become maikos since you left, Okaa-san,"Serena told Umemi.

Amattyan cleaned up the mess she made with the spices, rice and beef, continuing to stir the rice mixture around, keeping it fresh.
She watched some of the maids and maiko scurry about and smiled as she cleaned.
