Kai grumbled a little bit still crossing her arms. Staying in this place was the worst thing... Not that she hated the people but something about this place didn't feel right. At least she felt mildly comfortable in the Manor's beds or even the hospital beds in the cave... but not this place. It was completely underground and too bright, official and high tech looking for her. All the chrome and white concrete was bothering her. That and she really looked forward to seeing this future batman again. Learn about what he knows or knew from his past. Maybe she could learn a thing or two despite the fact his exit of the cave wasn't stealthy.
Kurt spotted Kai standing there, almost upset looking. He walked over to her grabbing her shoulder gently. He gave her a kind smile and looked at her assuringly.
"You're going to love-it here. Don't worry... Scott won't stay mad at you about his car."
Kai nodded at Kurt for a moment.
"It's not the Car..."
Kurt titled his head looking at her. If it wasn't that or the place then why was she so upset looking? His tail spun before falling strait down.
"What is it Kardinal?"
"Sorry Kurt... I just want to go home, and more than that I want to get away from that program, that program that has those Summers."
Kai was staying very quiet especially with Kurt so close to her. She didn't want people to know that she really knew these people and she always felt the most safe with Bruce and nothing or no one has proved her otherwise. Even if Bruce wasn't at the manor it was still his place, the safest place in the world other than the justice league tower in space.
"Vhat have they done to make you not like them so much? Other than ze whole working for the assassins thing right?"
Kurt didn't want to make a huge fuss with her in front of everyone. He noticed how shy she was getting about the subject. He lead her out of the hall.
Kai followed Kurt trying to avoid that answer... She couldn't help but feel that it was bad that she was being closed to someone who really helped her out. She thought about what she was going to say before she finally spoke on the way out of the door.
"Everything Kurt..."
She closed her eyes and tried to close out the images of her parents. What first came to mind was the day that she was able to escape them. When she was completely filled with fear. "I don't want to ever see them again... never again." She imagined her mother blindfolding her and leading her to the training rooms. Then letting her go. She held out her hand feeling as though she had lost some of her parents training... then again she might have turned out a nearly mindless killing machine like her sisters. "My sisters never had a chance." A tear rolled down her cheek before she swiped it with her bandaged hand. She kept her gaze away from most everyone.
Scott turned around and began working on the computer looking through some of the data on another screen. Maybe he could find something usable for another mission.
Garfield kept his gaze on the winged leopardess. Her silky shiny fur was hard for him not to look at. The girls eyes were bright with energy, beautiful and radiant. He was on the verge of drooling nearly, he had to raise his hand to his mouth to stop it. He walked up to the girl his hands soon clasped behind his back as he rocked back and forth slightly near her almost nervously.

Jinx had just wandered into the hallway and heard part of that conversation. 'Batgirl' had an odd expression on her face, "Ummmm, didn't really mean to walk in on that, but .... if you ever need backup, Kai, I'll help. And thank you, Kurt. Thanks for everything."

Tim walked out into the hallway, close to Jinx and a few feet behind Kurt and Kai. He had noticed RC's reaction from hearing about the two 'Summers', and it was rather peculiar... but if anything, now was not the time to pry. He nodded after 'Batgirl's thanks, otherwise keeping his thoughts internal. They reached the infirmary and Tim headed for one of the beds, standing beside it idly as he looked around the room.
Kon's attention drew to Beast Boy, who had noticed the tiger-like girl... these kind of appearances didn't phase most people Conner knew, and it didn't phase him, but he smirked a bit at Gar's own reaction.
Now it only felt like he was procrastinating on going to the infirmary... which was probably exactly what he was doing. He turned around and walked to the door. He looked around before he turned the corner.
"You should be coming too, Beast Boy."
It almost sounded as though Superboy was teasing the green shapeshifter, but he doubted it would upset Gar...

Rogue slowly wandered into the hallway seeing the people gathered there, "What is dis? A hallway conventin? C'mon Kansas, let's get ya on a bed for.... an exam..."
Anna Marie began to blush furiously, "Ummmmm... That didn' come out right."

Kon smiled at Rogue as he walked into the infirmary.
"It's okay, I know what you meant."
He chuckled a bit, jumped up to sit on one of the beds and felt at his arm. It was....possible there were still tiny shards of kryptonite... but he didn't feel anything anymore that hinted towards the green crystal.

Des promptly examined Konner and used an alcohlic swash to clean the wound of any foreign particles. Then the old doctor ran a geiger counter to make alsolutely sure that the slight wound was free of any Kryptonite. Then, Nightshade applied an anti-biotic and bandaged the wound, "There. That should do it for you Superboy."

Kai noticed how they began to head into the hall. When Batgirl walked up Kai didn't know what to expect. She surely didn't expect her to offer assistance.
"I don't need help for that sort of thing... because I am never going on a mission to any place that has... well, the Summers. They're not good fighters in terms of how we fight but if they get you where they want you, you can be sure that it will be near impossible to escape them."
Kai whispered to Batgirl. Of course she knew that Kurt would have probably heard it and maybe even Superboy because of his super hearing but the point was to not allow others to hear it. She then began to walk down the hall following the others. She walked in just as Nightshade was done fixing up Connor.
Kurt felt almost completely assured now that Kai knew these Summers. By the sound of it they seemed to be bad people, but did they have a reason to be? He couldn't decide if he wanted to stay with the others in the War room or follow Kai. Ultimately he just wanted to be with Robin and Red Cardinal so he could spend time with them before they left. He also followed the majority of the group to the infirmary.

Garfield looked at Superboy. He raised his hand a little and waived it.
"I'm fine"
Gar was healed by Kai from the bullet shots luckily. Because of that it gave him time to help research on the organization that is now bent on killing super powered teens. Then again... it also gave him more time to get to know the leopardess that joined them.

Des nodded, "You're probably right, but I'd like to check you out just to be sure."
Rogue was sitting in a chair close to Konner, but was casting a gaze with an arched eyebrow at Beast Boy, "And you positively look like the perverbial cat that swallowed the canary."

((Skuld... I thought Des went to the infirmary. Garfield, Scott, Kesshou, and Oracle are staying in the War room. Everyone is out in the hall or in the Infirmary...))

Kon felt at the patch with his other hand and thanked Nightshade. His eyebrow raised a bit when his heightened sense of hearing confirmed that Kai knew who the other two Summers were. Not that he was eavesdropping... well, okay, he was looking for something to do in this place, if anyone needed his help at all. He and Gar had spent almost two weeks under the distruction of Titan's Tower, and that was after Beast Boy found he spent months in a coma. Superboy was ready to get to work.
(hm. SB's main source of energy is the sun. They are underground...)
Tim hopped up so he was sitting on another one of the hospital beds. His palms met the material he sat on and he leaned forward a bit. Robin looked around at the scene. Things had calmed down since Nightshade, Oracle, Kai and he arrived... but he expected situations to pick right back up again at any minute. During his quiet observing time Tim thought through all these new names and faces, along with the new places he went to, or just heard of. Catgirl, Kesshou, Nightshade, The Professor, Kai, X-men, Prof. Xavier, along with the underground institute, Rogue, Kitty, Stonewall, Bobby, Kurt, Scott... the list would only grow longer from here.

Kai walked into the infirmary heading towards Tim. On her way over she grabbed a stool and placed it next to the bed he occupied. She sat down slowly next to him...
"Hey Tim... how you holding up?"
Kai felt her optism drained knowing that her parents might have something to do with their problem. It was only a matter of time before they found out she was there but for the time being she tried thinking of something else. Maybe if she spent her time getting to know this Tim it would help her stop thinking about it.
Kurt walked up to Tim and Kai grabbing his own chair sitting it opposite of Kai. He jumped up in a crouching position over it his tail wagging gently behind. He decided that for the meantime he would listen quietly to their conversation. Maybe they would say something that he could relate to.

Tim looked up to see that he was drawing some attention. He looked between Kai and Kurt briefly before focusing mainly on Kai and her question.
"Ah, I'm holding up..."
His left arm reached up so he could rub at the back of his neck.
"You know... I didn't know what to expect when I took off in Gotham a few days ago... the first person I ran into was Catgirl at the cave, so I started off thoroughly confused. Especially since she already knew who I was."
He took the mask away from his face and looked at Kai with his blue eyes. His left hand took its place pressing back into the bed beside him as he rocked just a little where he sat.
"I think... everything's starting to make more sense. We still have a lot of unanswered questions, but..."
Robin looked around the room, at the medical bay that was currently holding quite a few people he and Kai had already worked with on the field dispite their 'new' arrival at the institute.
"I think things are slowly coming together."

Kai smiled a little looking up at Robin. She knew that for a powerless person he was very intelligent, very strong willed. She pointed at her eye color as she looked at Timmy.
"My eyes aren't actually red... they're amber."
She smiled lightly.
"I'm not like d**k, I won't super glue my mask to keep it on, so I wear contacts as well."
Kurt smiled by the conversation, although he wondered what the purpose of wearing the masks were. To him they seemed more of a fashion statement rather than serving any real purpose.

Tim smiled and looked down as he chuckled.
"He didn't think it was funny when I first started laughing about that..."
His smile slowly shrunk at the thought of Nightwing... according to Babs, the only Richard running around was another younger version of him... a Robin version of him...
Tim looked up and picked up his smile to Kai.... realizing she may have caught his brief change in thought.

The black doctor began to work on Tim, "I know it isn't easy. I've been out there myself a long time ago, and I had to extract bullets and patch myself up. You take a lot of wear and tear in this biz. But... it has to be done. By the way, if any of you need someone to talk to, I'll gladly oblige you."
After Des extracted the bullet, he gave Tim an antibiotic shot with an X-men hypospray, cleaned and dressed the wound.
