"Perhaps..." Yue replied softly.
It was hard to read him at times, but everyone knew (through Jaseth) that Yue was a softie at heart. Even if he didn't act like it normally....
Wood trim and walls made of what seemed to be plaster, where carefully painted upon those walls were crawling vines of climbing roses that seemed to creep out of painted cracks. It had to take both artists to do it, roses in general were difficult to paint and have so many of them. They were all of a deep red, though in the bathing room they were blue, in the study they were yellow, and in the master bedroom were they were a soft peachy pink.
There were pictures of course, of Elnara's brood, a small bed near the fireplace in the living room for Snowflake, and a half of a fountain that was built into a wall on the otherside of the living away from the fireplace, it fed into the water system for house visits from the mers... specifically Jair.

Elnara looked around, her eyes filled with awe. She couldn't imagine how they could have done all of this in only two weeks ... on top of all the other places that needed to be moved in to, as well as other painting jobs ...
"Are you sure we were only gone two weeks?" she asked softly, not particularly caring who answered her. Her attention was on the beautiful work around them - though she was also trying to keep Hana from becoming angry and loud at the same time.

"I'm sure," Kara replied with a smile, "The houses had been built for a while, and as long as we had everyone help getting things moved into here was easy... besides not everywhere is decorated. There are still some places that need touch up paint as Trisha would say like you see on the walls, but otherwise everyone else is moved in."
And everyone else could wait as far as the family was concerned and they agreed.

"This is incredible though..." Lore murmured in amazement as he looked around.
The roses must have taken a very long time and they seemed so real, granted that was probably the point of it all.

"I would imagine that Serenity is keeping quite busy as well, then," Elnara smiled just as Hana let loose with a loud cry. She rocked her gently. "But maybe we should start with the twins' room, so that I can feed her," she suggested, "and then we can get settled in here ... and by that time it will probably be time for dinner, if someone wants to come and get us again, or stay with us or something ..."

"I'll stay," Kara offered.
She smiled widely though her sons could tell she wanted to stay because of Elnara, Lore and of course the twins. It was that part of Kara that just wanted to be close to them.
Triton chuckled a bit, "It looks like that question has been answered."
He was amused, but of course he and Yue wouldn't know about dinner since they weren't going to home. It was going to be crowded enough as it was.
"Is there anything else you need?"

Lore chuckled at that, "That would do."
He wanted to see what was done with the twins room, he wondered if there would be anything in there, he was just... well dying of curiousity.

Elnara smiled at Triton and shook her head, then shrugged. "Well, since we really don't know what's here and what's not, I guess we'll find out if there's anything else we need later," she smiled at him. "We're fine for now. And if Kara's going to be staying with us ... then I guess we'll see you later."
And holding Hana with one arm, she used her free arm to give Triton a quick hug. She had missed him most of all her adoptive siblings while they'd been away - he after all was the first person she had met in this world. But she quickly let go of him again and turned to Kara. "So ... which way to the twins' room?" she asked brightly.

Kara pointed down the one hallway where the rooms were placed, "This way."
She was just as excited to show them as they probably were to see them, at least that's how she felt. With a whirl of her skirt as she turned she padded down the hallway towards the twins room.
Inside was a spacious room (Donovan had thought it would double as a play room by chance), the walls were painted in what looked to be crawling ivy with star like flowers, they didn't really exist in nature (though in Gaia one never knew). The silvery flowers seemed to be a safe choice since no one knew if the baby was going to be a boy or a girl. Triton and Yue had set the crib beside the second one, moving both just so the parents could have access to both children, the rocking chairs they placed beside the window.

Elnara's eyes grew wide as she looked at the spacious room, and she couldn't think of a single thing that she would change about it.
"It's wonderful," she murmured. "Perfect. And considering that the room was made with one baby in mind ... it's just right for two of them."
She smiled down at Hana, stroking her back gently and trying to calm her a bit. "Look at that," she giggled softly, "your grandmother has everything ready for you. All Mama has to do is put your things away and you'll be set."
And speaking of which ...
She reached into her bag and pulled out one of the small receiving blankets, then dropped her bag to the floor and headed towards one of the rocking chairs and sat down.
"Is there another chair we could bring in here," she asked Kara, "so that all three of us can sit?"
Since she assumed that both Kara and Lore would be keeping her company.

"I think the boys moved that plush chair," Kara pointed to a soft bay coloured chair that was pushed off into the corner."
She giggled since either she nor Donovan expected Elnara and Lore to bring back furniture at all.
"Since it was figured there would be late night feedings, but we didn't expect to have two more chairs brought in. I guess the boys didn't know where to put that, we can have it moved out later though."
She went over to push the chair over to the two.

Elnara had been so entranced by the rest of the room that she hadn't even noticed the plush chair that was in the corner. She blushed a bit as she prepared to feed Hana.
"We might as well keep it in here for now," she commented, "and then once we have the rest of the house figured out, we can decide where else to put it. It does look comfortable."
As Hana settled down and began her meal, Elnara looked over at Lore. "Why don't you put a blanket down and try putting Garrick on the floor, see if he'll be happy like that for a while," she suggested. "It will be good for him, and it will give you a rest ... I know they're small, but they do get heavy after a while."
The reason she was so glad that the rocking chairs had arm rests.

"Alright," Lore nodded in agreement as he rummaged around in the bag for a while before pulling out a nice thick blanket.
While carefully holding Garrick he spread it out close to them, but not too close where Garrick would be under foot before settling the little boy down gently.
"There you go, now you can see... the sky on the ceiling," he realized just then there were clouds... on the ceiling, well that made things interesting.

Kara giggled, "It is... I tried."
She winked at Elnara before plopping herself down on the chair once it was close as she would like it. Kara had heard how difficult it was at night and wanted a good comfortable chair for Elnara though those rocking chairs looked very comfortable and they were very pretty. Ulrich had such talent....
She grinned again knowing if Trisha ever saw the crib and chairs she would coo over them.

Garrick's eyes were focused not on the ceiling above him but on Lore's face as he was set on the floor. He made little baby sounds as he waved his fists around, happy as a lark where he was.
Elnara smiled at Garrick, then giggled at Kara. "Then I shall have to try it at some point," she murmured, "though I have to say, it would be quite a challenge to find something more comfortable than these chairs, wooden though they are. If he had any interest in money at all, he would have no trouble earning it quite quickly with his work. As it is, he refuses to take even a single coin for his work ... though apparently he will sometimes trade some of his smaller carvings for supplies for the ranch."
Lore's comment about the ceiling made her look up, and she blinked in surprise. It was indeed a cloudy sky ... but the clouds of a sunny day, not the dark clouds of rain or storms.
"That must have been a literal pain in the neck to paint," she murmured softly, her eyes filled with amazement.
