I tipped my hat towards her. "Sounds like a deal miss." thats when I noticed her sprout a tail and flash some fangs. "You ok miss? Or is that how you normally seal a deal around here?" I said not undrestanding the woman before me. Just to be safe I unsnapped the holster to one of the guns that had been specially made for killing anything. I grinned at the memory of the gunsmith nearly falling head over heels for the guns he had made for me. The silver barrels with a slight blade at the end of each one, the sacred oak handles with runes and crosses carved intricately into them, the incantations on the inside of the barrels that blesses any bullet passed through them. They saved my immortal hide many times and has yet to fail me.

Bethany walked with Josh up to the gate, and then paused when she saw what the girl had done. "She has a tail... and fangs? But how is that possible?" she whispered, feeling a little stunned. In all of her studies of the preternatural world, in all the blood tests she had done, she had never been able to get werewolf DNA to combine with vampire DNA. They just attacked each other into oblivion.

Liz stares at the man. "I wasnt showing my fangs to you...The man down there was thinking about my smell. I was just showing him something..." Liz says. She keeps her distance from the man. She wasnt afraid of anything but guns. Even the though of them terrified her.

"I wasnt invadin his mind. He was thinking about me so my mind wanted to know what he was thinking about me." She says smiling. "Call me vain." She says she looks down at Josua. "Then you must live in a story book because i hapen to be a hybrid."

"Well I am immortal so perhaps I do live in a story book." I said while grinning at her. I turned and saw Joshua come up the stairs with the woman he had come here with. "Hello miss, my name is Sebastian." I said standing up and grinning towards the girl. I looked at Joshua and punched him square in the jaw.

I knew the punch was coming, and he knew I knew, though that didn't make it hurt no less. I stood up and returned the punch using 1/10 of my strength knowing it wouldn't hurt him to bad, though it did send him a foot backwards. He stood up while grinning. "Well I'm glad to see you haven't lost your punch in all these years." he said as he held his hand out for me to shake. I shook his hand and smiled. "It' good to see you haven't lost your grip old friend." I said shaking my head. I turned to the woman who was with Sebastian and bowed. "Allow me to introduce myself I am Joshua Shield and this is Bethany a very special person." I said with a grin.

"Hello Miss Bethany, it's an honor to meet a friend of Joshua's." I siad as I noted how she clung to Joshua. I had always wondered what Joshua was and the sight of this woman clinging to him answered that question. "If you wouldn't mind Miss Bethany, may I have a word with your furry friend please?"

I chuckled at Bethany as she walked away. I turned to Sebastian who dragged us out away from the woman he had been with. "Well Sebastian ask your questions, I'll answer all as honost as the moon." I said seriously. Sebastian looked at me as if he were trying to figure something out.

As I dragged Joshua away from the mind reading woman I hoped she stayed out of this conversation. "Alright Joshua first things first, where's Vivian?" I asked him praying she was alright.

I shrugged my shoulders. "Your guess is as good as mine. Something attacked us and I'm not even sure what it was but it destroyed the house and Vivian was gone." I said sadness creeping into my voice.

My shoulders dropped at the news. "You have no idea where she is not even a small clue?" I asked looking for something anything to start my investigation.

I could see the pain in his eyes and hear the distress in his voice. "I'm sorry my old friend, I spent two years looking for you but I couldn't find you. I had feared you had gone into one of your coma like deaths." I was relieved to know that at least my friend was safe for now.

I nodded and knew I had lost any hope of finding the woman I loved. "My friend would you mind if I stayed with you until I get a clue on how to find her?"

I shook my head no. "Sorry my friend but tis not my place to allow you passage. YOu should try to stay in this Manor it's what I came here to do."

Sighing I nodded. "Who was that woman you had with you? She's extremely beautiful." I had never seen Joshua with anyone so she must have been a catch in order to get him under a collar.

"She is the woman I love. I've only known her for a few days but she is something extremely special to me. She excepts my beast, and is trying to find a cure for those who wish their curse to be at an end."

I laughed at his school boy like affection for the woman, how many times did I act like that around my Vivian. "Very well I say we go to your woman and see what this Manor holds for us."
