Jon hit the ramp at 95 and sailed over the roadblock. He landed on all four wheels and shifted gears to third. The soldiers tried firing at the car, but he used his vectors to deflect the bullets.

"Well, we made it. Just hope that they're too disorganized to follow us." He turned off on a dirt road and slowed down a bit, keeping hidden in the trees.

"It's best if we stay off the main roads for a while."

Shion Looked at where she was bleeding
"Oh.. i didnt notice"
Shion noticing the cut made her realize it hurt, She didnt cry but it was painfull
"Im sorry big sis, i wasnt careful.."

"Back off." Ayane glared at Jon. Then she looked back at Shion.
"You don't need to be sorry." She rips the cloth from Jon and wraps the wound. "Whatever you do, don't touch it. It might get infected."

Jon frowned at Ayane's response, but ignored it and thought about finding something to eat.

"Now that you mention it, I'm getting a bit hungry, myself." He rummaged through his car for anything that might be of use, but came up with nothing.

"Damn. Nothing here." He grabbed his guitar and swung it over his back, closing and locking the door behind him. He started walking ahead in hopes of finding something to eat. Gorgeous neck of the woods, this is. What am I going to do to find food, though?

Jon kept on walking ahead, staring up at the sky. Another clear night. I love staring up at the stars on nights like these...

He stopped walking when the path that he was traversing split in two; one heading right, and the other heading left. He thought for a moment which path would be suitable, finally deciding to go to the right. He walked for a few miles, wishfully hoping that his dinner would seemingly walk across the road. However, he got a bit more than he bargained for when he reached the crest of a small knoll.

Below, on the bank of a glassy lake, was a small log cabin, overlooking a mighty snow-capped mountain. There wasn't a sign of flickering light inside, but Jon approached carefully anyways. This might prove useful...

He stopped about ten feet from the cabin, studying it for a bit. In the moon's reflection, it didn't look like it had fallen into a state of horrible disrepair. As a matter of fact, it looked as though it had either been kept up regularly by somebody, or it was almost frozen in time...

Jon walked up to the door and knocked lightly. When nobody answered, he tried the handle, and surprisingly, it was unlocked. He pushed on the door, and with a creak, it slowly opened.

"Is anybody here?" He slowly stepped inside, every ounce of fiber on alert to any perceivable danger that could appear. Apparently not...

His attempt to find a light switch failed, and instead he stumbled forward into the black abyss of the medium-sized wooden structure. As his eyes adjusted to the blackness, slowly sucking on it for even the smallest ounce of light, he was able to trace the outline of a long-since-disused fireplace that served as the centerpiece for the room.

He continued looking around in hopes of at least finding an old oil lamp. Now that his eyes had adjusted, making out shapes in the darkness proved to be no problem, especially coupled with the light of the moon. The light of the moon shone on something metallic off to the side, sitting on what appeared to be a small wooden table next to the fireplace.

It was indeed the oil lamp for which he started his search.

"Now all I've to do is find a match." Jon's search for a match began. Of course, he didn't have to look very far, because there was a box of wooden matches sitting right next to the lamp. How convenient is this?

Jon struck one of the matches and carefully lit the oil-soaked wick of the oil lamp, replacing the glass top of the lamp. He turned the small metal wheel and brought the wick up a bit further to provide more illumination. This allowed for a better view of the cabin.

He looked around at all the old furniture, furniture that was coated with heavy blankets of dust from years of disuse. He smiled fondly at the cozy environment, remembering a similar camping experience when he was younger, in a cabin just like this one, on a lake almost exactly like this one.

"That was so long ago, it almost seems like it was just a dream. Gosh, we were so happy back then, Mom, Dad and me. Why did things have to turn out the way they did?" He lowered his head, but remembered that he'd left the others back down the road. I should probably go get them...
He stood up, and out of the corner of his eye, he spotted a long, slender pipe. Turning, he discovered that it was in fact an antique double-barreled shotgun. He grabbed the shotgun and checked the barrels, which were unfortunately unloaded. He searched for a bit, finding some cartridges in the cabinet above the small gas range. This is what we'll use to catch dinner, he grinned.

Jon closed the door and headed back the way he came, remembering to extinguish the flame before he left, for safety reasons.

Jon reached the crest of the hill and looked down, seeing Shion in the water. Hehehe, that girl's something else. I swear, she needs some fun once in awhile. This is good for her...

Jon picked up the pace a bit, finally meeting back up with the other two.

"You'll never guess what I found." He showed them the gun, which he proceeded to store in the trunk (hood, actually) of his car.

Jon looked on in shock as Shion ran off, tears streaming down her face as she turned to run. Not this again...

Jon's first instinct told him to run after her. He felt the need to keep her in his sight, so he started on foot into the woods where she disappeared. I really hope she doesn't do anything foolish. His thoughts went back to the massacre in town a few weeks ago, when he had dozed off and she snuck away.

Jon stopped to catch his breath, continuing the rest of the way at a much more relaxed pace.

"Shioooooon! Shion, are you there?!" He called out as loud as he could, hoping that she would hear and respond.
