At the sight of the bright fire, Eden reflexively hisses and jumps back a good four feet. "I'm not going to hurt you, that is, so long as you don't freakin' set me on fire. What's the matter with you? Why are you so skiddish? You remind me of a little kid for God's sake." She was a little p'oed that she had unintentionally hissed at the guy, but man, bringing fire that close to her, what the hell did he expect from someone just turned?

I'm not a little kid! I'm sev....eighteen...don't hurt me...or I'lll set you on fire...or something.... says Josiah nervously, he had just turned 18 the day before and forgot for a second....

"You even get near me," she threatened with a hiss and unintentional baring of her glistening fangs, "and I'll blow you to smithereens." She held up her 9mm beretta, currently smothered in gun powder from a small test she had done a while ago. "So," she said casually, pointing her firearm at his torso, "you're my age, huh? I'm eighteen too and I'm not going to hurt you, so you can relax so I don't have to blow you up."

Whoa, Eden thought to herself, this kid is really ******** up, that or he's never seen a gun before... I hate cry babies... "Get a grip kid!" She shouts at him, putting her gun away, assuming that he would not try anything smart with her. "What's the matter with you? Why are you so afraid of me? I mean before I pointed the gun at you, just in case you didn't know." She was starting to feel bad for this looney, wondering why he was so skiddish and why he cried so easily.

"New here," Eden repeated as she thought about what the kid had said, "well, welcome to New York, home of everything you just listed, except one thing. Now, why are you so scared if you aren't even a human yourself? I mean, you're flammable, the only thing you should be afraid of is other flammable things... Like aerosol can sprays... or gasoline..." She could not believe this kid was crying, hell, he was worse than her for crying, at least she could handle being at freakin' gun point.

The fires...have only started recently....when afraid or stressed.... says Josiah....his crying and fire starting to die down...he was still quite afriad of her...

Eden smiled, her elongated canines not showing for once. "They," she repeated to herself yet again, "only started recently, huh? Well, learn to control your stress my friend, perhaps I can get Lyds to teach you a thing or two about Pyrokinetics, that is, if she isn't too busy helping our incapacitated friend out there. By the way, I'm Edith, nice to meet you... what's your name kid?"

Anyhow, what the heck are you doing here at this time of night? Don't you know this is the worst possible time to be out since vampires are out, which ususally means lycans are out and demons usually as well?"

I don't have a home....I have nowhere to go.... says Josiah, his dad's old dog Brimstone finally finds him...he was trying to get away from the dog, since finding out it was a vampire...

"Well," Eden shrugged and suggested, "I suppose I could set you up with an apartment until you pay your own damn bills? Sound good? Once you can pay your bills, though, you're not free loading off me anymore, got me kid?" For some reason, she liked calling this guy kid, probably because he cried so easily, but she rather enjoyed it.

Eden inspected the dog warily then turned to Josiah to interrogate him about it, "That your dog or is it just a stray that's bothering you?" She searched his facial expression and saw obvious fear pasted upon it, at that, she sighed. "Don't tell me you're afraid of dogs too..."
