Suru's head snapped up, and, through the window next to the door, he could barely see Saber recognizably through the thin curtains. He grabbed Shinji's arm, roughly, nudging the coat closet open and giving him a hard shove. "In. And by the gods, not a word, or I'll have your head, brat." He shut the door, firmly, keeping his foot braced against it, just in case.
He opened the door and smiled, flawlwessly, always having been good at covering his and others' asses.
"Hey, man, how's it going?"

Saber's expression didn't change when Mitsuru opened the door and greeted him. "Going okay, I suppose." He didn't want to say too much about Rohan had told him, just in case Mitsuru didn't know about it. "Is Opheliah around? I need to...well, I wass told she was sick earlier. Just wanted to check up on her." While checking her, he'd also ask a few questions.

"Yeah, she's been in pretty bad shape, she's upstairs in her room."
He stepped aside, letting Saber in. There was something up. He knew somethign about what was going on, he could tell. It was Ophelia's problem now, let her deal with it.

Saber nodded his thanks and walked inside, wondering if he really should have come or not. He trusted her, didn't he? Plus, Rohan said they just walked together. Maybe the guy had just taken her home? But then why not let Rohan take her? He shrugged mentally and walked upstairs, taking in another deep breath before knocking on Opheliah's door.

She'd half undressed, nothing her brother had never seen before, and laid down on top of her blankets. She'd changed into a purple, crushed velvet nightdress, and had her knees pulled up to her shin, dress down over her legs. At the knock on her door, she sighed, raggedly and closed her eyes, mumbling, softly, "Suru, please, jsut go away."

Raising a brow, Saber simply shook his head. Now or never, right? "Sorry to disappoint Opheliah but I'm not your brother. Do I still have to go away?" He decided to at least try not to be so serious about this. Nothing worse than starting off a conversation on a much too serious tone.

Ophelia, of course, was still buzzed. This was not a good way to have the conversation ahead, but, of course, she was too buzzed for that to register. She lept up and tore the door open, throwing her arms around his waist and startign to sob almost immediately, clinging to him tightly.

Not expecting her to rush out suddenly and cling to him, Saber toppled backwards against the wall. He heard her sobs and sighed. So something was wrong but how to go about finding out what? "Uh...love, how about we go inside your room and talk." He guided her back inside, not wanting to bring the whole household inside the hallway to find out what was going on. "Opheliah...why are you crying? Did something happen?"

Shinji shook his head to himself from the closet, letting out a soft sigh before his image faded, his figure escaping to the fallen star to drown his idiocy in alcohol.

She nodded, still keeping an arm around his waist and her head laid on his shoulder. She sat down on the bed, hands shaking,a nd began, in a shaky, tremulous voice,
"I was, I was ou hanging out with Ro, and I got sake, and I had too much. And I get so stupid when I'm drunk and I saw Liam . . . . err, Liji . . .Shiam . . . I saw him, and he was talking to Lena, and he was talkign o me, and I got so mad, and Rohan was gone when I looked, and he wanted to walk me home,a nd I kissed him and he came inside and we were kissing, and, and . . . Saber, I'm so sorry! All I could think about was hw much I love you and how horrible I felt and how I shouldn't have been doing it, but I couldn't help it, and, and . . . . !"
She choked off the rest f her wrds with a great sob, collapsing on his shoulder again, still less than half sober.

Jak moved across the room to Suru, pushing his hair back and trailing a gentle touch down his back. "Okay love?"

Saber listened in silence, unsure of what to say. He had felt his heart twist when she said that she'd kissed then guy, worse when it was more than once. He wouldn't have cared so much if Opheliah was just another lover but she was more. She loved him and he loved her in return. That was supposed to mean something, right? Or were those three little words just thrown around now-a-days? He didn't know if he should be mad at her or at the guy or both of them. What about himself? Had he done something wrong to make her fall into the other guy's arms?
Saber just stood there, eyes darkering behind his messy hair. He just didn't know what to say at the moment. It would probably come out wrong, whatever it would have been.

Suru sighed, roughly. It was clear by the room's feel the boy he'd shoved in he closet was no longer there. He nodded to Jak, gnetly, turning and leaning his head against his.
"Did I do the right thing, Jak?"

She watched him, a complete mess. Her hair hung down around her face, tangled from the woods and runnign her hand back half through it to get it out of her face. Her eyes were tearstained and turned down as she sat back, feeling his anxiety and uncertainty, and esecially his pain, acutely, seeign them clearly, which made things pang all the more. She pulled her knees under her chin and wrapped her arms aroun them, murmuring,s oftly, thickly,
"If you didn't want to stay anymore, I would understand. I don't have the right to ask you to stay, so I won't. I'll only say that I've only ever regretted one decision this much in my life, and even if you can forgive me somehow, I don't know how I'll be able to forgive myself. I'm sorry."

With a sigh Jak pulled Suru into his arms, his hands loosely at his waist. "You were doing what you needed to love. Protecting our families comes first for both of us."
