"Doctor, there is something strange with the patient the Captain brought in..." A nurse said. "What is it...?" the doctor replied as he approached. "Well sir, he keeps twitching..." "Hm... hook him up to the neural transmitter... We need to know what his brain is doing..." "Right away, doctor." The nurse said, and did so.

It had been almost five minutes. Both Ryn and Raine, stood apart, panting, looking at each other from five feet away, watching each others movements.
Raine tilted his head to the side, glancing at the sky for a second, before saying,"They are watching us...."
"Good for whoever they are... All I know, is if I kill you, I live, and win.", Ryn replied, slowly moving to the side, holding his blade lightly in his hands.
"Hehehe... Hardly. You cannot kill me, and I cannot kill you. We can send each other to the darkness... but killing the other would be a rather.. Bad idea.", Raine said, backing away slightly, before saying,"Let me show you why."
He slowly raised his blade, before throwing it into the air above his head. Ryn watched it's slow arc, glancing as Raine positioned himself to catch it.
"To late...", He muttered, watching the blade come down, Raine holding his hand out.
A second later Raine screamed, as the blade severed the lower half of his left arm, and Ryn's eyes flew wide in shock. He let out a piercing scream, looking at his right arm, to see the lower half gone, mirroring Raine's loss.
"W-What is this?", Ryn said, his eyes wide with horror, holding the bloody stump of his arm, his blade dropping harmlessly to the ground at his feet.
"This... Is a sign, that we are linked. If one of us dies, we both die. There is only one way for this to end.", Raine said, slowly picking up his own blade with his right hand, and beginning to walk towards Ryn.

Raine and Ryn were locked in combat, their blades clashing, and separating, before slamming against each other again. Raine snarled, his face contorted with rage, as he was shoved back, shouting,"You'll never push me back to the depths. I'll win this fight, even if I have to KILL US BOTH!"
Ryn panted, before suddenly saying,"I thought of a second way out."
Raine's eyes flew wide,"W-what? But the only way to be the master is to beat the other to the depths...."
"Wrong", Ryn said, slowly walking forwards. Raine swung his sword, and Ryn caught it with his own, before saying,"We merge", and touching the stump of his right arm, to the mirror stump on Raine's right.
"N-No!", Raine shouted trying to pull away, as the two arms slowly began to melt together, within seconds pushing their chests against each other.
Ryn didn't like it, and wanted to pull away, and could feel a mirror of his feelings emanating from Raine, but this was the only option, and he said soothingly,"It doesn't hurt, and... It will all be over... Soon."
Slowly they merged together, collapsing onto the barren wasteland of their mutual mind.
Slowly, in the real world, his eyes opened.

The intense lights from the combat was a sight for Stella sense she has never seen bright lights such as those,"Daddy, aren't those lights pretty. Said Stella in a dazzed state glareing at the lights.Yea I guess they are pretty..."Said Reo worried about the units outside...

The doctors stood around Ryn's room, from the outside, and gasped as his eyes opened... "Get the Captain, quick!" The doctor said. One of the nurses ran out, searching for Elzam...

"Ahh..... Looks like we.. No I, am back.", Ryn said slowly, pushing himself up, and cracking his shoulders and neck. Glancing around the room, he muttered,"Guess they took me out of the Bloodfin. But I don't think it was the UED who did...."
He slid to the side, standing up and rubbing hsi eyes, before yawning.

"I came as soon as she told me..." Elzam said as he ran into the room, followed by the nurse, "He's awake...?" He asked. "Yes, Captain..." "Very well..." Elzam stated, and walked to a comm between the med bay and Ryn's med room, "Hey, are you alright it there...?" Elzam asked over the comm.

"Alright?", Ryn asked, a foul grin spreading across his face, his eyes hidden beneath his hair,"I'm better than alright... Getting rid of excess baggage tends to make you better than before..."
He laughed, grabbing hold of the door handle, and tugging on it, the door shaking on it's hinges with every tug.

Elzam let out a sigh, and said, "I'm sorry, Ryn, but since you've been with the UED, we have no garentee that you're on their side or not. If I let you out now, what would stop you from killing everyone, or joining back to the UED after stealing our top secret info...?"

"Ryn? Yes... Ryn is my name...", Ryn said, still trying to pull the door from it's frame,"I know there is no reason to let me go... But I will give you this... Ryn, and Raine, as you know them are no more... I'm whats left, when they became one... Hehehe..."

"W-what...?" Elzam said, and looked at the door, noticing that it was almost ripped out... "Everyone, get out of here!" Elzam yelled, "He's going to break the door down! Go!" He then quickly ran to the door, and ushered everyone out as fast as he could, and looked back for a split second...

Ryn ripped the door the rest of the way out of its frame, dropping it behind him as he stepped through the frame, grinning foully. He looked towards Elzam, his head raising, and his hair falling out of his face, his eyes now visible. Both of them, were an odd mixture of grey and red, the top red, the bottom grey. Slowly, he hissed out the words,"This is what happens, when the UED screws up their tests on someone... Hehehe...."

Elzam slowly backed away from Ryn... 'What... I... get a feeling of dread from him...' He thought to himself. "W... what do you want...?" Elzam said, reaching for the door controls...

"Why that is simple....", He said quietly, advancing slowly on Elzam, his shoes padding softly across the floor, his double colored eyes narrowed,"What I want... Is my ship."
He reached upwards, slowly drawing a knife out of an inner pocket of his jacket, twirling it lightly in his left hand, as he continued to advance, sneering,"I suggest you leave. If you get out of my way, I won't have to kill you. It's high time I payed the UED back for what they did to me..."
