I guess if one was going to try to differentiate, it would be the difference between a show which is created for the purpose of being erotic or arousing, versus a plot-driven show which has erotic scenes. Mm.. sumo wrestler yaoi. heart Ew, ew, ew.But (I'm assuming) there are hentai with very deep, complicated plots..

I think that the title 'hentai', might also reply to something that's overly violent, rather than just sexual in nature. *shrug* Whatever though, both are NOT MEANT FOR KIDS! >O

I thought Saikano was an awesome series. I think the nudity and that scene was conductive to the storyline.
My stereotype of hentai is (typically) meaningless sex, and lots of it. If you can watch 15 minutes without nudity or a sex scene, chances are it's not a hentai.
That's just my own opinion anyways.

I have an idea though.. hentai, is when sex scenes are left in when it would have worked just as well to have them be implied, or not there at all. Yeah, I'm stickin' with that, it sounds good.
