Amy looked up from wiping a few of the glasses and smiled when she saw Karrie. "Karrie, hey! How are you doing? I haven't seen you in awhile."

Amy nodded and smiled slightly. "That's good. Anything special happening there? And can I get you anything to drink?"
Amy turned her head to the side and tried to make it look like she was looking at the different glasses, but really she was yawning behind her shoulder.

Amy nodded and took down a glass from one of the shelves. She put the dish towel on a nearby towel rack and then went to the fridge. She found a container of frozen apple cider concentrate. She went about making it according to the instructions and then poured some of it into a glass.
She slid the glass over to him and then put the pitcher in the fridge. "There you go... So how are you doing today?"

Thanks. *takes a sip of his drink* I'm doing all right. I walked around a farmer's market for part of the afternoon. I had to drag Velcore away from a stall that was giving out watermellon samples.
How are you doing today?

Amy chuckled softly and shook her head. "Why didn't you let him have one of the samples? Is he being punished again?"
She shrugged. "I'm... doing alright, I guess. Very tired and not completely aware right now."

Amy's smile grew. "That's cute, though I'm sure you didn't think so at the time. I'll have to remember to make him some kind of snack with watermelon in it."
She yawned once again, this time not having a chance to turn her head to the side. "Excuse me... And, Thistle is..."
She sighed and sat down on the bar stool she had pulled over behind the counter a couple hours ago. "Frankly, I don't know how she's doing. She's still wheezing and sneezing, and now her throat is swollen as well and she's coughing. She's at Kits' right now so that I can work here, and the tea she gave Thistle that Velcore brought over acts like a sedative or something. It knocks her out so that she can get a good amount of sleep, but it hasn't really helped her symptoms, yet. I don't even know what I can give a unicorn to relieve her symptoms."
She leaned her elbows on the bar and then leaned her forehead on her hands, looking down at the top of the bar. She sighed again and found herself trying to hold back tears. She was just so worried about Thistle and she was so tired.

I don't think there really is much more that can be done to help her right now. *looks Amy over and sighs* Listen, why don't you go home and get some sleep? If Kits doesn't want to keep Thistle for the night, I'll go get her and take care of her. You look like you could really use a good night's sleep.

Amy sighed, ran her hands through her hair, and then looked back up at Karrie. "Has Velcore ever been sick in the past? If so, did you ever want to spend a night away from him at that time?"

No, Velcore's never been sick. I understand that you don't want to be away from her, but you're not going to do her any good if you get sick yourself. You will end up getting sick if you aren't sleeping and worrying about her all the time. Kits and I will take good care of her for you.

Amy looked at Karrie for awhile and then finally smiled slightly. "Thank you, Karrie. I really appreciate that. And you do make a good point. I want her to get the best care and how can she get that if I'm so tired and unobservant?"
She sighed and sat up straighter. "I'm sorry. I'm being a downer right now and people don't come to a bar to get weighed down with someone else's problems. I can turn on some music on the jukebox. What kind do you like?"
She went over to the jukebox and began looking through the different songs.
