Nah, sorry to disappoint you. Not a drop of Spanish or NA blood. By birth I am not a Mexican, but would be proud to be as one of them. However, I am very interested in the indigenous Mexicans (primarily the Aztecs, Mixtecs, and Mayans), and have done more reading and research on them then on anything else (and I read a lot).
I'm not 100% fluent in Nahuatl, but I'm pretty good (I use the english alphabet...can't read those glyphs yet biggrin ) ...I live in Colorado (US), probably at least a few hundred miles between me and other nahuatl speakers, so my intonation leaves something to be desired. There are varying dialects (though I don't believe they differ too much). The one I use is the original Empire language with modern add-ons, with words like "sanitary restroom" that wouldn't have been used in pre-colombian times.
If you want me to translate anything into/from the language, that would be good practice for me (hopefully dialectal differences wouldn't screw it up much).

*walks into thread, takes off jacket and shakes baby powder and flour from it into a pile on the floor, let's hair loose and brushes it out pulling the remains of silly string and dried oatmeal from it, then moves onto the shaving cream, powder and flour on parts of her jeans* Wow, that was fun. My shoes have no traction now though... *slides across floor*

It was my first time at this scale of this type of war. I tried to keep my claws in check, however a few people walked away with scratches. sweatdrop And I found someones skin under one of my thumb nails, it was not supposed to get quite like that, but oh well. Still fun. 3nodding
I am waaaaay too hyper from it though.

Yea, sure you wouldn't. What is in it Sarah? You better not harm me! I was one of the people that helped save Aurahkah from being captured! *slides across floor and bounces off a wall or two* Whee!
RP, RP, can I be Bastet right now? I can try...
