Cody considered Lori's words. He hesitated, looked towards the kitchen. "So I won't go crazy?" He asked in a whisper. He had a supportive family--he paused. "Dari's going to hate me for this isn't he?" He buried his face in his hands.

"Almost definitely not," Lori agreed, and then his mouth pushed over to one side. Yeah. He wouldn't be happy if Luca went behind his back on something as big as immortality.
"You want my advice?"

Lori knew Dari. It wasn't as well as Toby, no, but Toby was more concerned with feelings when it came to things like that. Lori knew better. Men were tough.
"If you've made this decision, that's it. It only impacts you."

Tell him? Cody blinked. He had planned to ask--maybe plead, but... Maybe that was better. "How?" He asked. He didn't want to lose Dari. "I'll try," he added.

"I'll talk to him," Cody promised.
Luca came out of the kitchen with a tray of tea and cookies. "Talk to who about what?" He asked.
Cody hesitated. "I was thinking about taking Dari to Hawaii for our honeymoon."

The next day, Cody made plans for Dari to come to his place. He'd considered meeting Dari at his; but even if Toby and Maia were polite and left, it'd still have been awkward.
He had coffee in the pot and was waiting anxiously. How was he supposed to tell Dari without losing him?

The only strange thing about he invitation had been that weird little twinge in Cody's tone. Dari couldn't place it, but he worried anyway. Was something wrong?
He arrived as per usual, smelling the coffee when he stepped in.
"I'm here!" he called.

Cody wrapped his arms around Dari once he arrived. "Hi love!" He greeted. "I wanted to talk to you about something important," he added. He hesitated, and released Dari. His gaze veered away from the alien. "I asked Lori about becoming a werewolf," he revealed. "I asked Toby, too."

Dari tuned his head and kissed Cody's jaw. He also saw the man's eyes jaunt off. Oh no.
He frowned slightly at the sudden confession. He had nothing to say, though. At least not for a few long moments. Then he realized Cody probably wouldn't respond if he didn't talk.
"And?" The tone of his voice was almost threatening.

"And Lori said I won't lose control. And it won't hurt as much." Cody continued. He did flinch at Dari's tone, though. He'd known Dari would be angry. But knowing and seeing his fiancée angry were two different things.

"No, you don't," Dari insisted. "I knew what I was getting into when I started dating a human. We talked all about it." 'We' in this case being he and Lori.
