No I haven't got my lingo mixed up, pssht, I got an A in my IT exam, okay? XD
I'm able to tell the difference between a monitor, base unit and a desktop.
Desktop is not droppable on a pc because that is what holds all your files. Like when you minimise all the programmes, you see your desktop with a desktop background.a monitor is what you look at to see things. A base unit is where the fan, the chips and the reset and on button is. Along with the hard drives.
Jeeze. Are you guys that different?
I managed to drop the base because I was holding it to take out the wire to the internet. Typical me, I managed to drop that base. Some wires are now mixed up.

Now I understand... We call the 'baseunit' desktops. Because those comuters are called desktop computers. They you know... sit on top of a desk? So laptop are laptops. But we also call the file thing desktop too. ;D

Thank you captain obvious, it's not as if I did it on purpose, accidents happen. You try holding something that's super heavy on your own whilst trying to take a wire out from the back.
/goes to play super mario world instead
and hey, I get a new pc out of it smile

but my computer is my baby... I hoover it ocassionally... and why didn't you just slide it forward a bit and take the wires out that way rather than pick it up?
but what's done is done, at least you get a new computer. If I did that my parents would make my use the crappy old one downstairs instead

Couldn't you just slide the desktop/base unit out a bit so you can reach around and grab the cord? ;P

Peoplers, if it was that simple, don't you think I wouldn't have needed to have picked it up? It's an old pc, the fan doesn't work when it's upwards, so we lay it sideways and the back is blocked by wood and wired because of how the desk is.
Please don't say it's weird, I have a feeling you're just going to say that :\

No that's cool. My desk is open at the back so I don't have that problem... and I has lots of space around my compy to pull it forward should I need it.
