While that is true, I don't see drill sergeants running around in Tu-tu's on a common daily basis.
Clothes don't describe an attitude, but people express themselves through how they casually look.
Appearances may be decieving, but your first impression is usually correct.

My clothes don't describe me, I am definately no Snowboarder but I just liked the look, black but with a bit of colour. My hairstyle on here was the same as my real one until around 1 this afternoon.

I change clothes alot. In RL and Gaia. I actually own many of the clothes (at least in style) that I wear on gaia too....
I love vests and longer coats usually... and i do have me own kilt.
Have you seen the new jewelry?
