We use Friend Codes as well to battle..... I've never used Pokemon Online to battle. I don't even know what the hell that thing is. For netgear, you can change your wifi settings to WEP with www.routerlogin.com
There are different sites for different routers.

Saisho Silvalin Buying a DSi or 3DS won't give you WiFi access on HGSS with WPA =) Because the games themselves only support WEP. B&W should probably support both though =D
B/W DOES offer WPA support. ^.^ It's already been confirmed. but you need a DSi or 3DS.

Odd Cinderella Oi. You guys don't understand: They don't use PO. They use Friend Codes. How in the world am I going to use PO if I want to join as one of their Gym Leaders?? Also, I have a DS Lite and Pokemon Platinum. Of course I know that B&W will hopefully have WPA settings. Have I made myself clearer? sweatdrop
we USE FC, we battle using the DS's, our league is not on PO, we just test out teams to make in the REAL games on PO.

Its like shoddy server, but with a better interface. Smogon is using it to determine the tiers for next gen, and we've been using it to test out pokemon in the gen 5 metagame, get accustomed to changes, new pokemon, etc.
basically, we were using it to make gen 5 gym teams so we could transition as quickly as possible to gen 5.

yes, its very fast... 5-6 mins is like the longests battle I've ever had... and thats with stalling
you just gotta get used to reading the chat log on the side... but its the best way to test out new teams...
take 15 mins to build a team and test it.... if something doesn't stack up how you thought, another 15 mins to fix problems... rinse and repeat until you have a team...
or a week (or longer) to breed, IV and teach moves to a team, battle, find out the team sucks, and have to spends days or weeks replacing failed members.
I prefer battling on my DS, but I love team building with PO.

we have our own server @ 76.106.136.248:5080
its only available when my computer is on though.. and usually isn't that active until later at night. when everyone is back from school/work
EDIT: and is closed right now, as I have to update it.
