Okay, I'm I'm also a bit more mature than to say, "NO NO NO NO! LALALALALA! I'M NOT READING YOUR SENTENCES! I'M NOT READING YOUR SENTENCES!" I mean, these are still my friends I'm talking about. I'll read what they have to say. Like... It's one thing if it was like, "So, check this out. Wesker is a lone. Also.." And it goes on for a whole paragraph about RE5... Yeah, I could totally ignore that paragraph. But it's not like that. That information came at me one sentence at a time. Like, I told them, like, "Dude, I don't care. RE5 is stupid, and I want nothing to do with it." Discussion over, I avoided getting yet more details. Again, look at Degeneration. I know s**t all about that game. I know that Claire doesn't get any action and that Leon got a new main squeeze, that's about it. And I don't want to know any more. Unfortunately RE5 had brought about way too much hype, and it was impossible not to get people to talk about it. But still... Wesker is a clone. He turns into a monster at the end. Jill has a mind control crystal in her chest, and you have to fight her Kung Fu a**. Oh, and the scenes with Spencer were flashbacks, he's actually dead. How much is that? That's not very much information at all. I mean... It's enough to make me say, "This is not worthy of an RE storyline." But for a 10+ hour, (I'm assuming) video game, that's not very much information, so I'd say I did a pretty good job at avoiding things like information about Excella or that other dude with a funny voice. Or who Sheva is, or whatever. I don't wanna know. And I'm pretty sure that I'm in the clear, since all the people who gave me said information have been made clear that I want nothing to do with RE5.
Dude... I don't really remember any good reviews about Resident Evil: Extinction either. Did that stop me from enjoying it? Hell no, I think it was one of the best action movies of that year. Screw what critics say. Roger Ebert said that "The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor" was the best in the series. Wrap your head around that.
Well, I do wish the movie adaptation would be good. The only difference is, I think it WILL be good. I don't judge it by the appearance of the actors or crappy reviews. I mean think about it... We're talking about a live action movie here. They cannot be 100% true to the anime wardrobe. Goku can't ALWAYS be wearing that red uniform. As for characters like Master Roshi... Again, these are actors, they're trying to act. They can't just over-exaggerate their faces like in anime. So, Master Roshi can't have a huge beard covering half of his face. Bulma can't have green hair, that's just silly. And they can't make it base COMPLETELY on the Manga events. Like I said, it does have to be understood by the general public too. Otherwise, it would've been straight to DVD, and for a 100+ MILLION budget movie, they cannot just settle for a straight to DVD release.
Well okay. All I'm saying is... You think it's gonna suck, but you're still gonna see it. So I don't want you coming back here afterwards, going, "MAN did that suck! I here are the things I hated about it! It ruined Dragonball for me!
But I disagree with you, Stranger. Just because there's no way to pleas EVERYONE, doesn't mean it shouldn't be done. You hate RE movies.. But hell, they made ME happy. And right now, when it domes to Resident Evil... When it comes to T-Virus, and Zombies and Umbrella... The next movie is about the ONLY thing I have to look forward to.

Or who Sheva is, or whatever. I don't wanna know. And I'm pretty sure that I'm in the clear, since all the people who gave me said information have been made clear that I want nothing to do with RE5. Bio, ignoring what you don't want to hear is not being immature. If they were your friends they would understand that you don't want to associate with anything related to RE5, and you should just politely decline their comments relating to it, since it's "supposed" to aggravate you so. Is there anything immature with that? I'm not saying you knew everything about the game, but you still knew enough to warrant the fact that you read up on stuff that you ultimately really didn't want to, hence you not ignoring it. Bio, Resident Evil: Extinction never got a .5/5 from anybody. And he said it was the best because the entire series was just dumb plain fun, this being the the dumbest and funnest of them all. Wrap your head around that.Well, I do wish the movie adaptation would be good. The only difference is, I think it WILL be good. I don't judge it by the appearance of the actors or crappy reviews. This is exactly like RE5. You ARE judging it by appearance, and what you know and seen. I mean, Bio, you've never even SEEN the movie. How are you so sure you think it will be good? Like it when the questions are reversed?I mean think about it... We're talking about a live action movie here. They cannot be 100% true to the anime wardrobe. Goku can't ALWAYS be wearing that red uniform. Explain to me why not.As for characters like Master Roshi... Again, these are actors, they're trying to act. They can't just over-exaggerate their faces like in anime. So, Master Roshi can't have a huge beard covering half of his face. The actor who played Pai Mai in Kill Bill Vol. 2 got away with acting with an outrageous beard. Why can't Roshi/Fat? Explain to me why. And whats really funny is that movie had a heavy anime style and theme...So what your saying is an anime adaption can't be anime-ish? Ok. I get it now.Bulma can't have green hair, that's just silly. Silly? Colorful hair is silly? Yes, your right. ESPECIALLY in this day and ageAnd they can't make it base COMPLETELY on the Manga events. Like I said, it does have to be understood by the general public too. Otherwise, it would've been straight to DVD, and for a 100+ MILLION budget movie, they cannot just settle for a straight to DVD release. A 100 million dollar waste of money, but anyways, and why couldn't they base it one the Manga without people understanding it? People aren't ******** retards. They can explain the situation with leaving some stuff out and WITHOUT having to add stupid and ridiculous plot devices.Well okay. When I say friends, I meant people who I haven't talked to since 2005, who last remember me as being a crazy Resident Evil fanatic, and the first thing they did after playing RE5 was come and talk to me about it.
Well, I thought the mummy movies were genuinely good. They brought about a great atmosphere of ancient Egypt and told a good story, and an adventure with a lot of heart. That's what I liked about the Mummy movies, not that they were dumb. It wasn't a "so bad it's good" kind of deal.
No, I'm judging RE5 based on things that are deal breakers for me, like Wesker being a clone. It doesn't mean RE5 is a bad video game in theory, but the plot devices in it kill it for me. It's like... Let's say I meet this girl. And she's got an awesome personality and good looks, and we're generally compatible... But she's a smoker and likes to do drugs every once in a while, and isn't willing to stop. That's a deal breaker for me. It doesn't make her a bad person necessarily, but it's not someone I wanna end up with, you know? Although if you apply this analogy to RE, we're talking about a girl I used to love, who started doing drugs afterwards. So therefore she basically ruined herself for me. I used to love Resident Evil, but it got ruined for me.
It's not a cartoon. People can't be wearing exactly the same thing all the time. It makes for a lazy and uncreative wardrobe. He's got the uniform for a part of the movie, that's good enough. He doesn't ALWAYS have to wear it, otherwise he's just a dirty kid who never changes his clothes.
I'm NOT sure the Dragonball movie is gonna be good, all I'm saying is, so far I haven't seen anything that made me say, "Okay, this is gonna suck." Maybe I WILL be disappointed. Then I'll never watch it again and move on, simple. I wasn't too crazy about Kill Bill. Yes, it was animeish, but it felt more like a live action parody of an anime, than something that tried to genuinely bring anime into the real world. It was making fun of itself. In fact, if Dragonball was like Kill Bill, that would be one of the things that would disappoint me about it.
Well, you go dye your hair green if you want. But honestly, I think women look better with normal colored hair. Bulma looks great in the movie.
People might not be ******** tards, but it doesn't matter. I mean, even when I watched Dragonball Z, which I did before being exposed to Dragonball... Like, they'd have all these flashbacks about how Demon King Piccolo spit out the egg and the new piccolo was born, and this and that, and I sat there like, "What the ******** is going on?" I was confused as hell. And this is during 5 - 10 minute flashbacks in the TV Series. Imagine having to squeeze so much information into a 1 and a half hour movie. It's impossible to include all the characters of the manga, and all the events that occured without making it seem like an 85 minute long "Dragonball in a nutshell" movie. Am I disappointed that there's no Krillin? Sure. But I understand if they had to cut him out for the purpose of simplifying the story. Not to mention, who were they gonna cast? Minime?

Thee Stranger Yes, Bio. That's pretty much exactly how I feel. If it can't be done right, don't do it at all. And I liked Monster Rancher. That game was the s**t back in the day. Monster Hunter, not Rancher. razz Speaking of Monster Rancher though, are there any other good games in the series besides the first two?

I meant Monster Rancher, Angela. And I wouldn't know, because I've only played the first one, and I never bothered with the cartoon. The same goes for Pokemon. I only played Red & Blue. Loved 'em. Never bothered with the cartoon.
Bio, I guess you have a point. But I think most RE fans don't like the live action movies. Like, I read the George Romero script here a while back. Now, if anything had come of that version, I'd still b***h (African American Barry? Native American civilian Chris?). BUT, I would've rather seen that movie, as it revolved around S.T.A.R.S., the mansion, and Wesker's character was done perfectly.
Oh, and Wesker is not a clone.
Funny analogy you have there. =D But don't diss on the smokers. I smoke. I light my cigarettes with a S.T.A.R.S. zippo, and ash them in a S.T.A.R.S. ashtray. I s**t you not. xd That's right. My smoke is fanboy.

Well, see? If the Romero movie came out, then I'd be here, bashing the s**t out of it. But I like the current version. It's a bit of a selfish viewpoint, but I don't care. I like the movies the way they are now, and that's all that matters to me.
Well, hey, you can smoke if you want to, I don't care. You're a guy anyway, so even if you didn't smoke, I wouldn't be trying to pick you up. I just don't wanna go out with a smoker, is all. Smoking of any kind is like the biggest turnoff for me. That's my personal deal breaker.
Everyone probably has something like that, where they say, "The person could be the nicest person in the world, but if they do this or that... I don't wanna be with them."
