Bakura slumped down to the ground when he saw to it that Rei was going to be warm enough. The world spun and he felt like he was going to throw up, but luckily he passed out once more before he could.

rei woke up a while later. She ripped a blanket and started to wrap bakuras wounds the best she could.

Bakura's eyes snapped open and one hand shot out, seizing Rei's wrist and squeezing. His eyes were out of focus; he seemed to be sleepwalking, just without walking. "You... did you do it? Kill them, killed them all... It was you..."

Rei eeped and tryed to pull away. his grip was painful "Kura what do you mean?"

Bakura glared, a look of pure hatred on his face. In a flash, he had slammed Rei onto the ground, his hands around her throat and his grip tightening. "All the people, it was because of you that they never once were able to know their true cause, never were able to know what they were for. It is not for you to say." He was making little sense. "Their blood surronds you, you're drowning in it but it has never once touched you." He was now using his nails on Rei's throat.

Rei's cried out and squirmed "bakura stop!" she yelled. She grew weaker with every second. She was already very weak. his nails were digging into her neck drawing blood.Her struggles slowed as her skin tinted blue.

"Should've... should've..." Bakura was saying, and tears filled his eyes. He blinked them away, and his eyes were cleared as he woke up. "Rei...?" He paused a moment before letting go quickly, throwing himself backwards as though he had been electrocuted. "Oh god, oh god... I'm sorry, I'm so ******** sorry..." He gasped, breathing heavily.

Rei dident answer.Her eyes had rolled back and only the whites were showing. Her mouth was parted slightly and she was struggling to breathe. Her neck was red with blood driping down from the nail marks.

Bakura took a moment to catch his breath, then quickly went to Rei's side. She wasn't breathing too well, so he put both hands on her chest, pressing on it a few times in an awkward kind of CPR.

After a few times rei's breathing relaxed. her eyessliped close and her head fell to the side. Her tiny little neck looked like it could have been crushed under his hands. She was lucky it dident.

Bakura sat next to Rei, trembling. He could have killed her, which was exactly what he had been trying to avoid. He didn't want her to die, he couldn't let her.

A moment later rei opened her eyes. Turning on her side she coughed up a bit of blood. She looked up to bakura a slight fear in her eyes "K-Kura? A-Are you ok now?"

Bakura looked up, a cold look creeping into his tear-stained face. "Y-you're going to have to leave, Rei." He said, clenching his hands into fists. "I know now that you're not safe at all around me. What those men had done... it was only because of me. I can't control even myself anymore; I'm just putting you in a greater danger than you already are in. You can stay with me until you finish healing, but after that I'm taking you... away. Away from me." Tears brimmed his eyes. "It's the only way you can be safe."

Tears filled her eyes "What???no bakura I dont want to leave you! Please dont make me go!" She clung to him "I dont care if im safe! I just want to stay with you!"

Bakura grabbed Rei's arms, holding her away from him. He didn't want to be close to her; it would only cloud his choice. "You don't care if you're safe? Well, guess what? I do!" He snapped, turning away. "I can't have you around me if I know that I could kill you if I lost control like that. You deserve better, Rei, and I refuse to be engaged to you any longer. Please don't make this harder than it is."
