SP-O Wlm Dougherty Well, this is very short notice on the change of dates for my vacation, but hopefully it will go through. I do have some seniority pull, and if worse comes to worse, I will bump someone if need be. But, I have had that done to me before, and I'd really hate to have to do that to someone else. Perhaps the time slot is still available, or maybe someone is willing to change with me.*He ponders for a moment at her offer.* Well, let's give this until Monday and see what happens. If it doesn't work out, then you may go ahead and call the Governor. I'm sure he's more than capable of lighting a fire under someone to get an immediate response! Amy winced visibly as the fairy flew in front of her. She kept her eyes closed for a moment and hid slightly behind Karrie, though not entirely.
When she lightly said... something, she slowly opened her eyes and looked at the fairy in shock. She also giggled!
"Karrie... Is she giggling? Is that a good thing, or is she about to douse me with fairy dust and alcohol?"

Yes, she laughed. I don't think she wants to hurt you.
*realizing Amy didn't understand her, she pointed to Velcore and smiled* Meldo. *points to Amy, then to Karrie* Meldo. *appears to think for a moment, then pulls a small seed out of the folds of her dress. She beckons to Amy, then flies outside, stopping just outside the door and plants the seed in a patch of dirt*

Amy nodded to the fairy, though she still didn't understand what she was saying. She watched the fairy beckon for her and then fly out of the bar. What was that seed that she had removed from her dress? Well, she assumed it was a seed. What else could something that small and that color be?
She didn't want to go out there alone, though. She gripped Karrie's hand a little bit harder and walked outside with him. She tilted her head to the side in curiosity as she saw the fairy planting the seed in a patch of dirk right by the door.

*watches Blossom* What...
*looks up and smiles when she sees Amy and Karrie. She hovers just above the seed, sprinkling a bit of fairy dust on the spot where she planted it. A moment later, a plant starts growing, much faster than normal. Within minutes, a single flower blooms from the plant, identical to the one in Blossom's hair. She picks it, flies up, and offers it to Amy, smiling at her*
((Don't know a whole lot about fairies, really, but in Fern Gully they can make plants grow quickly like that.))

Amy gasped and watched in amazement as a flower began to grow out of the spot the fairy had planted the seed moments ago. Then, even more surprising, she picked the flower and offered it to Amy! Amy noticed that it was the same type of flower that the fairy wore in her hair.
She stared at the flower the fairy held out to her in awe for a few moments and then finally looked back up at the fairy. She started to smile brightly and she took the flower thankfully. She nodded.
"Oh... Thank you, very much. This is very kind of you. Meldo... That must mean friend. You want to be my friend?! That's so sweet of you! Of course I want to be your friend, too! You saved me from those fairies before and you gave me this beautiful flower. I'd say we're even."
She unclasped her hand from Karrie's and held it out to the fairy. "My name is Amethyst. Amy."

She recognizes Blossom as her name now because that's what Kits has been calling her. She keeps making the flowers bloom around Kits' house. She was calling herself something else... Sei, I think.

Amy laughed softly and nodded to Blossom. That was a very pretty name.
"Yes, meldo!" She pointed between herself and Blossom. "It's nice to meet you, Blossom."
She knew she wouldn't understand her, but she still wanted to say it. She didn't know what 'sei' meant, though. It didn't really seem important at this moment, though.
Still smiling at Blossom, she grasped Karrie's hand loosely. She hadn't even realized she had done it this time.
"Well, Blossom, I must go home." She pointed in the direction the other fairies had gone in with her free hand. That was toward her home.
She looked at Karrie and smiled. "Would you mind walking me home, Karrie, both you and Velcore? I'm still a little... nervous of those other fairies and creatures."
She blushed and looked down slightly.

Amy smiled and waved to Blossom as she flitted off.
Then, she looked confusingly at Karrie as he reached for his phone, checked it, and then put it back. Really excited at first, and then indifferent not too long after that. It was actually pretty amusing to watch.
She brought her free hand up to her mouth and yawned softly. "Oh... Excuse me. It's been a long day... I'm going to have to give a lecture to Thistle tomorrow, too, about not pestering those fairies. It's not nice and we don't need this to happen all over again, though I don't think we will."
