Firefly is turning 1!

Yes, you heard that right! I started Firefly and this guild almost one year ago. By almost one year ago I mean on the 20th for the RP and the 18th for the guild as a whole. Anyway, I am sure to forget so I just wanted to put that out there, and say Huzzah to all of those that have been here the whole time. Those would include, me, Chuka, Orange, Van, Iris/Isis/Sakmet, and Fes! HUZZAH!... Is it strange that all of those that have been here for the longest (and stuck with it) are chicks? Or at least have chick AV's.

That is true, my co-founder (Chuka) and myself are both friends IRL but most everyone else I found by pm harassment. If I am not mistaken (and I may be) that is how I found you.

I have been meaning to ask you about this for a long time (no less than six months), but I always forget whenever I get online. But now that we are going to have a kid on board the ship it sparked my memory. What I want to know is how many illegitimate children does Kelly have? I know it is a weird question, but I've always wondered, and now just seems like as good a time as any to ask.

I think it is kind of important that we all have a nice little chat about Reavers.

We all know that the original Reavers were created by PAX on Miranda, but since then the only new Reavers have been created by regular humans witnessing the horror that is a Reaver attack.

Now, here is what I want to know, what was the greater plan with the kid? or, what is the deal with her? They tried to make her into a Reaver but failed while everyone else turned into a Reaver? There was a Reaver attack though. Scout ships don't get attacked just for the hell of it, and there was carbon scoring on the exterrior of the ships from a recent gun battle. Reavers did board that ship, and attack the crew, that much is obvious, but they are not a virus. You cannot simply turn into a Reaver by being bit by one, or scratched by one. They are living human beings not Zombies. Parker isn't going to turn into a Reaver just becuase they got him.

So what is the deal with this kid? I am very curious to know what is going to happen, and don't think that just finding out though the RP is the best of ideas.

With that said I want to also talk about our next job. We need to decide what it is we are going to be doing next. Here is another question, do we want to take a bit of a vacation for a while? Go on a slight hiatus before picking up more work? I know a long time ago there was talk of going to Pavan's parents house for a time, and I'm wondering if that is still an option or what. Or maybe going to some place that isn't a desert. It doesn't have to be a long vacation, just enough so that we can fix up the ship, and find some new work.

I really don't care, I would like to hear some ideas though. Ideas on everything. Let's get the communication up again.

Reavers are all on us... You created this kid... She was your idea... Her Reaver conditioning was also your idea... You are not just going to throw your idea onto us and make us deal fully with it, and then wash your hands of her. That isn't right, and isn't fair to us.

For ever action there is an equal or greater reaction. There are consiquences when things like this happen. There is no way the Alliance is just going to idly sit by and let their experiment run loose, and that is what you have made her. If we take her to Malik's parents and drop her off with them do you really think the Alliance isn't going to find out? Do you know what they would do to get the kid back? I know I sure do. They would kill those that have come into contact with the kid whether or not those people really know what the deal with her is (not that we really know either). They then would come after us because as of about page 100 you were listed as part of Ira's crew, so the Alliance knows you fly with us. We would then find no safe harbor, ever, and then it-to me- feels like we are following to closely in our source materials footprints.

But whatever. I personally don't want the RP to take that turn, and of course it wouldn't have to for a while. They would first have to figure out who took her, and that would mean finding out Sign North was responisble for it. They would then go after Nan, kill her after they found out the kid was dropped on whatever backwater planet Malik's parents reside on (Nan would never purposfully rat us out, thus why she sent them there right before her brains were blown out), and they Alliance would then find her, kill Malik's parents, and then start killing all of his relatives (if he has any) before going after us, and our characters subsequent families.

How would they know to go after Sign North? It really wouldn't take a rocket scientist to check the largest dealer of black market goods. It would be foolish to think the Alliance doesn't know of their little operation, but very easy to see that the Alliance would not be able to take down such a large operation unnoticed. Or maybe it is that they to pecure items from Nan and her crew. Either way it would be very easy for them to find us. It might take some time, but it is bound to happen sooner or later.
