*Crashes deeper into the forest,being driven to insanity through frustration.*

Irvine sat on a branch abover her. He had one leg bent and close to his chest while the other dangled precariously off the side of the branch. Kai had just woken up and had begun to cry. He smirked and then began to laugh. His laughter was harsh and cold. It rang out through the branches like a crow's caw. It was a laughter that held no warmth...no meaning. Just an empty hollow laugh that made one's spine shiver.

"Kai...my, my, my, what a funny little person you are."

Irvine's back was up against the tree and his head was tilted back slightly as if he were resting. He had covered his wounds after hiding away from KB and they had actually healed very well for such a short amount of time. He spoke again.

"Why do you do it? Blame your self. Why? No ones going to blame you for what happaned to KB. So why do you blame yourself?"

Irvine smirked and laughed again. Friends...what friends? He had no friends. He cared for no one. Looked out for no one. But if that was true, then why did he save Kai? Was it because a part of Irvine wanted so badly to rejoin the Human race and his friends that he'd risked his life for another? 'No...' Irvine shook his head to reassure himself. He was sure Kai had information about Xol, and that was why he saved her.

Irvine leaped down from his branch. He landed right infront of Kai standing perfectly straight. He crouched down infront of her and lowered his shades revealing sightless eyes. His pupils had become light blue and filmy while his irises had changed to a bright, glowing white. He smirked.

"Kai...I'm blind. I cannot see your face. Infact, the only reason why I know your right infront of me is because I can hear you and smell your scent. And I chose to become blind. I gave up sight in order to gain power. I did it all so I could become stronger than Xol. He killed me. He stole away my life. He stole away my mother's life. All I want now is revenge, and I intend on getting it. I have no time for friends...therefore you should not consider me one...I just have one question for you. Do you still have my mother's lily?"

Irvine sniffed the air. The familiar scent of the Death Lily filled his nostrils. He smiled. She had kept it alive after all. He picks the flower up gently in his right hand and smells it's sweet scent one more time. Then, carefully he sets it back into Kaiori's palm and closes her hand over it. He smiled again.

"Keep it for me. Take care of it. If I am to die, and I'm saying this is an actual posibility, plant this flower at my grave site, where ever it may be. Ya know, if I hadn't become the way I am, I might have fallen for someone like you...but now we'll never know."

He smirked at this slightly and brushed a hand down her cheek gently. He ran it slowly across the full length of her cheek, then stood up. He smiled again and pushed his shades over his sightless eyes.

"Good bye Kaiori. I trust you can find your way out of the forest on your own. I now take my leave of you and the B.C."

He turned away from her and walked off into the forest. Where he was headed, no one knew but himself.

Focht enters the forest from the direction of the Dark Tower. After walking a few hundred yards he points to a large tree urging 9 to try and walk into the tree.

*ever present. Con sits idlely in the tree tops, and once again watches and listens to anything that might be of use to him*

*dropping down from the tree he sees what appears to be a golden oppourtunity. he carefully examines the tree and it's aura*

*he digs into his sack and recovers his spirit barrier caltrops. the special magical steel tacks forged from the shattered steel of the black rose sword, imbued with the spirit of the woods and the strength of the earth. he thumbed them out in a circle around the tree and once the last caltrops had been placed a blackish haze barrier, like the one at the tower, formed around it, trapping from the inside...
he then planted invesious ivy of his own creation around the barrier, covering it in a thick camoflauge. he was satisfied and walked out to the garden pathway...*
