His logic was once again appealing.

"I dont know where he is. He has been sealed for a very long time. I arrived here following his presence, but lost the exact location after I entered this town, and after my battles." Her voice softened. "I wish to free him..."
After her last word, her face grew sad. Then, she reached over her shoulder, relaxing her hand around the hilt of the magificent sword, she pulled it forward and revealed its main feature.

"The stone, is no jewel." She quickly paused and contined. "Its a piece of his heart."

Ryugi's features took on a softer appearance as he watched Kaym's reaction to her blade, and subsequent thoughts. Apparently this person she was looking for meant a great deal to her.

Well, I'm sure you'll find him... You...said he was sealed? If he was sealed, then is seems plausible that he might not have been traveling under his own power. Perhaps along with another, or WITH another...

Have you any idea about the people this man might associate himself with? What of HIS personality? What do you think his mission would be, or the mission of the one he was traveling with be?

His questions may have seemed pointless, but Ryugi was going somewhere with them, he just needed Kaym to answer them.

Kaym could see his expressions. He wanted to help. She wasnt used to someones good will, but she would happily accept it.

"The man i killed earlier, ... Feih; he was a part of it." She didnt have very much memory of Sam. He disappeared shortly after she awakened.

She moved a chair across the floor, abling herself to sit comfortably and talk. A long story was held before them.

"I am not sure what reason someone would do this. But, Caster.." She fixed her eyes on Ryugi as she spoke; "Hes my commanding officer. I used to work for a company... Our main priority was to exterminate rogue creatures, and test experimental weapontry." She held a deep breath and released it silently.
"After several years. I couldnt feel Sam's presence anymore." She neglected to mention other details of this story, but those must be for a different time. "..I had asked them what happened, but they wouldnt answer. I never had a choice in the matter; ...when i was resurrected..." Kaym stopped. She wasnt ashamed that she was once dead, it just may have been uncomfortable for him. She contined anyway, reguardless of his expression. " ..After i woke up, I was put into this business right away. I dont have any knowledge of Sam, other then what he told me, which wasnt much. It wouldnt lead me to any conclusion to his disappearance."

Ryugi leaned against a wall nearby as he listened to Kaym speak. It would seem that she had lead a very long and very strange life. It reminded Ryugi of his time spent as a Mercenary long before he'd ever heard the words "Leviathan Stadium", "Heaven or Hell Tournament", "Silver Moonblade", "Maximos", or anything else related to his current position and friends. Hell, the last time he'd been anywhere near Strata was long ago during a mission to destroy a rouge rock golem, of course, that was a story for another time as well.

Hmm, it doesn't seem you have alot to go on... You say you arrived here following his energy, and you barely knew him to begin with? In that case... It sounds like you were used to his presence, even if you weren't totally aware of who he was. And if you followed his energy, it would seem that this man has found a way to partially weaken the seal placed on him, which would allow for his presence to leak through it.

Ryugi crossed his arms in thought for a moment, looking at the floor. If these people Kaym spoke of had sealed this Sam person's abilities, that would explain why she wouldn't feel them. And, if they had sealed him, and he had found a way to weaken the seal, it would explain her following his power to this area. But, if his power had returned a bit, then it was likely to assume the one's that had sealing him in the first place would have followed him to this place as well, which would explain why Kaym was attacked by the man he'd saved her from upon his arrival.

So, that fact that Kaym had followed him to this place, and the fact that these people Kaym spoke of were ALSO in this place, that could only mean one of two things, the second being more realistic. That these people attacking Kaym had tracked Sam to this place, found him, and killed him, and then intended to kill Kaym. OR, the most likely, that Sam had left Strata already to escape from those that would undoubtedly be following him and his energy... AND THE ATTACKERS OF KAYM WERE TRYING TO KILL HER TO PREVENT HER FROM FINDING SAM'S TRAIL!!! That was it!

Kaym! I believe I know what is happening here!

Ryugi's eyes lit up as he quickly explained his trail of thought to the young woman sitting on the chair near him. Hopefully it made more sense than his metal trail.

So, if the seal was leaking Sam's energy, it would be likely that he would quickly leave this place so as not to be discovered. Perhaps he felt you coming, and had to run off, knowing that you'd try to find him, which would bring these other people after you, and therefore, lead them to him after they had killed you to remove you from the equation. So, it seems logical that you leave this place, and begin to search elsewhere for him. And, if this Sam is any kind of a wise man of the area, he'd know that the one place to go if you don't want to be found is a city to the north of here. The Dark City of Lament. Its a haven of sorts for those who want to evade the watchful eyes of people looking for them, especially in the Underground Area.

Kaym followed every one of his words with careful though. He was totally right. They were after her because she had been searching for him. She left them due to that fact, and along the way, she had banished her missions from her mind in order to do so. Urtiva was her first victum, the others followed only because of their own stupidity.

"Lament.." She caressed her hair with her hand as she thought of the name. "I dont believe Ive been ther before." her thoughts also wondered to the idea of Sam avoiding her. Why would he do such a thing? Hes the one who reclaimed her life. However, stranger things have happened, and Ryugi's statement had many points on its own.

"I wish Nathanial was here." She said outloud to herself. As quick as she realized he said it in public, she clarifed what questions may have been asked.
"When i awoke. Nathanial was there to greet me." Her expression changed from serious to soft. "Hes Sam's adopted son. My younger brother." She looked at Ryugi, remembering his previous form.
"He was born with a Dragon spirt within him. Thats why I looked at you twice when I saw you soaring in the sky." Her smile gave a stronger aura. "I had mistaken you for him for a moment."

She then moved her hand out of her hair, "Would you like to accompany me to The Dark City of Lament?" She stood to her feet. "For, i do not know the way." She gave a quick smirk.

Thanks to Ryugi's confidence and kindness, her spirts were lifted. At least, for the time being..

Ryugi smiled kindly and his mood improved. He'd get to re-live a little bit of his mercenary days. He'd had several clients who'd simply wanted protection along the way to their destination. But none of them had ever been a friend before.

I'd be glad to accompany you to Lament, Miss Kaym.

He leaned forward and stood up, removing himself from the wall before opening the door for her.

After you.

Immediately as Kaym turn towards the exit, the She-male clerk from before stopped her by touching her shoulder.

He stood taller then her, and had an upmost masculine figure. "I noticed you shivering." She threw a jacket over her shoulders and tied it in the front just under her neck like a caring mother.

Kaym was at a loss for words for a short moment. "Why?" She said as she lifted the coat, positioning it to match her figure.

"Your little brother, Nathanial, stopped in before." Kaym's yellow eyes widened. "He's such a doll. We had a wonderful conversation while you were unconscious."

"When..?" Kaym started.

The confident woman waved her hand infront of Kayms face. "Oh dear, this is when you first arrived months ago." His eyes moved, seeing her, still very confused look. "darling, no one could mistaken those beautiful eyes of yours." His gay-ness emerged even more as he spoke. Such confidence he had, she was just amazed he spoke to her with no problem in the world.
Her yellow eyes allowed him to finish his personal glory. She grabbed her hand and thanked the mystery gendered person kindly as turned for the door.

Such, odd people here..

She glanced at Ryugi, wondering if he had the same expression.

The it hit her. What happened to this memory. She had been in Lament before! She had a dreadful encounter with a most unpleasent man, or creature. Decruda. She learned his name at this past HoH. His business was his own, and she didnt mind if he didnt notice her there.

During the same moment she exchanged a look to Ryugi her Yellow eyes flicked with a memory.

"I have been to Lament before, ... the reason for me not remembering is beyond me." Maybe her recent encounters knocked her memory loose?

..Or could it be from her unacquainted power drain?

Ryugi chuckled a bit.

Well, thats a step in the right direction anyway. Either way, I think it would be a good place for us to check out. I'm ready to leave as soon as you are. I don't really have any pressing issues right now.

He cracked his neck and stretched, making his way towards the door.

Buttoning the last button of the very few on her new black jacket, Kaym stepped outside. A snow flake would melt when it touched her nose, making the snow a reality.

She looked around, noticing some of the people were in a panic, yet, others didnt seem surprised.

I guess weird things happen everyday...

"What do you suggest would be the quickest way? Ship, Train, Or through the desert?

Train. Lament has a train station, as does this city. It would be the fastest route there.

Ryugi said, matter-of-factly. He smiled and followed Kaym out the door.

Strata at dusk.

Saiya crossed through the gates, ignoring the glowers of the guards, and stood upon the streets of her city once again. Funny how she thought of it as 'her' city, but it was true. She'd grown up here. She knew every street, every alleyway, every bar and shop and disreputable hotel as though it were a part of her.

She rubbed her hands together, feeling the unnatural chill settle upon her skin as she paused, and set off down the street.

"Hey, wait!"

Unsane considered stopping for a moment to admire the beauty of the setting sun shimmering onto the countless snowflakes, bathing the whole city with its soft glow. Sadly, Saiya seemed a bit in a hurry, and he had no time to contemplate the pretties. When he finally caught up with her, he grabbed her wrist gently, grunting.

"Don't start off like that! I'll just get lost again, and we really don,t want that to happen."

She stopped and turned. "We got to take the streets. Rooftops'll be too slippery." she explained curtly. "You got any money on you?"
Unless she could hunt down someone to stay with--unlikely--they'd have to rent a room in this weather. Before the snowfall, they could've just slept on a roof, but that didn't seem like a good idea now. Unless snow demons had some sort of weird immunity to freezing to death.

Which seemed likely, now that Saiya came to think of it.

Haha, funny one. Money. "I have a few coins, but not enough for anything edible." His fingers crossed behind his head. Was she going to offer to pay for him? She sounded like a nice kid, but somehow, he doubted it. She owed him nothing either. While he could sleep outside, the idea was less than appealing, no matter how comfortable a snow bank can get.

"Got anywhere that's free? Didn't you say you lived here?"
