>>She softly laughed as he bounded over, slowly shaking her head in mirth<< I thought as much. >>The princess slowly extended the chopsticks to gently plop the cookie piece onto his tongue. It went without saying that she pretended Seifer didn't exist right then either. Maryline softly smiled up at zell, one of the few she reserved only for him as she took back the chopsticks<< My grandmother was brilliant. Caramel goes with nearly everything.

>>She nodded merrily, her laughter dying to just a grin<< DDR. Dance Dance Revolution! And its FUN! Entertainment value for the both of us. Oh sure, no one is perfect at it at first, but its oddly rewarding when you get your first A on a song. And it gets your entire body moving, so its a perfect way to work out and not even realize it. But if you really don't want to... >>She tilted her head, her grin suddenly turning mischevious<< we could always just play a nice...safe...video game. Got a ps2 and mortal combat?

Taking the bite happily Zell made happy "mmm-mmm!" noises around it. He didn't do his usual inhaling of food, preferring to savor this bite. Rune chuckled softly.

Finally Zell swallowed. And beamed. "I'll say she did, woman-princess!"

Seifer sighed. Dammit... that meant it was time for him & Zell to get going. Very tenderly he kissed Rune's belly, murmuring encouragement to his kids. A soft move of his hand to caress the softly curved skin then he rose from his squat to kiss Rune. A barely whispered "love you, be back soon" gruff but tender. Satisfied Seifer stood fully, striding over to the counter where Hyperion leaned and picking up his weapon. "Right, Dincht. Let's move out." With that Seifer strode from the room.

Zell grinned impishly at Maryline then quickly leaned forward and gave her a sweet but chaste peck on the lips followed by a wink. "Leave the tables and yard to us, 'Line. Later!"

Smiling Rune stood and moved to help with the cleaning up.

"I...ah..." Percy was floundering in both words and flight, sometimes forgetting to flap his wings in his dumbfoundedness & embarrassment. "I'm not particularly a game player, except for a round or two of wizard chess, though really that's Ron's field not mine... Certainly couldn't play a moving game like that..."

He was rambling, avoiding the question he knew he could not. He knew what the PS2 was, now that he was thinking on those lines. He knew what it was though he never touched it. "Um... I... don't think we have that game for that system. I think... the newest -that's a 'fighting game', right? Right. Well, yes, I think the newest ones we have are something Smash Brothers and these ones with over-muscular men with massively spiky-blonde hair on the cover. Oh and some 'X' something... I think... Though I think... yes I think I heard Ms Trelweny say something about some 'mortal kombat' & an 'old system' once, though I haven't the foggiest what she could have meant."

>>She shook her head again, still in mirth, at the blond moomba<< Wrong past tense my love. >>The female whispered softly, shifting closer to him. Did anyone else hear that quite...loud...exclaimation of her nickname? The princess moved to kiss his forehead, but instead was quite shocked to find his lips. Just a moment, and then it was gone again, her face slowly turning red with her slightly widened eyes. She immediatly glance to the side for rune before looking back at Zell<< Since it is Rune I will permit that to slide. >>Just because or rune, she wasn't going to deprive herself for ten hours. Her free hand reached up to lightly touch his chest<< Take your time. >>Since she knew he was probably going to rush to get back to her. She took a step back then, letting the hand fall for him to leave. Maryline turned to the beautiful dragonfly woman, flashing her sweetest smile<< Alright...I can handle washing the dishes, counter and stove if you sweep and put away ingredients? >>Thank Arigon she had cleaned before at the cottage...Such as the time she washed the bucket in zells company. That had been such a grand day. Her smile softened, a light sigh lifting from her unconciously<< If that is satisfactory with you

((Rofl! I am reading back when 'line first met Zell and...sheesh, you really can tell the difference when she locks up. Her speech has become so lax since meeting zell...))

That would be the point boyo. To sorta pull you from thos books you're so fond of. >>She chuckled, right before she shuddered at the cold in the robes<< Ooohhh....Supersmash brothers. That'll work. So you have a gamecube then? But massively spiky blondes? Dragonball? Can't think of what the X is... >>Female gamer. Who would have guessed?<< Either one'll do. Which do you prefer? Supersmash is where you can be one of many different odd creatures and then you try to beat the heck out of eachother...and if it's dragonball Z...X...something, you're either a blond or an alien and you try to beat the heck out of eachother. Fighting games are fairly simple.

Rune, accustomed to merely watching silently, showed no sign other than her soft smile at having seen anything or even heard anything 'inappropriate' from the blonde lovers. But she knew the eyes of a woman in love, and every time she saw those eyes on Maryline it made her smile. To the White SeeD Zell was like a brother, to be loved and cared for and watched over. To see him so happy brought her joy. Added to her own overflowing joy, it was like drowning happily. "Certainly. I can dry the hand washables too."

Chuckling softly, Rune began putting things back where they belonged. Ingredients in the cabinets, dirty dishes and beaters near the sink. After licking one of the beaters of course. "Despite how Seifer acts I will not break, doing things myself." There was a soft, lilting quality to her words as she teased about her love -very clearly showing how much she loved him.

((*giggles* I know.... it's totally awesome!! whee Booyaka!!! Go Zell.... you have totally corrupted the princess... 4laugh ))

Percy's blush deepened, not really seeing why she would want to go through the effort of pulling him from his books. He nodded, looking confused, and missed that Anon had shuddered. Probably a good thing or he would have dropped the conversation in concern for her. "I, ah, guess so? I have heard we have all the gaming systems except the three newest ones, whichever those may be." Percy pressed his lips closely together. He nodded faintly at her descriptions. "Yes. Those sound right. The 'X'... well it is something interesting I suppose. Piotr & Illyana like it with a sort of oddity, for Piotr himself appears to be in it as well as others they know. Mikhail seems to know less of them, but when they play insists on choosing the female 'Storm', whom the others call Ororo." yes, confusion settled in around him again. "I suppose they do seem fairly simple. The games I mean." Percy quickly amended, looking sheepish. Wizard he might be, but he had no interest in offending the Rasputins. Their powers were quite different. "I, ah, don't really know enough of any of them to have a preference..."

>>And for that, she was grateful. She tried so hard to keep to the modesty of loving glances and featherlight touches...but curse her soul, Zell made things like restraint so hard! Especially when he was so supportive of her slip ups. Gracefully, the princess moved to the kitchen to flick on the water and pick up a sponge to begin washing the dishes. The slightest movement of her shoulders gave away her sigh. Of course, now she missed the blonde<< I understand completely. >>Maryline spoke softly, smiling over a glistening plate<< Sometimes I feel as though Zell wishes to put me in a bubble. Preferably with him in it with me. >>A hint of a laugh, the woman sliding the plate under the running water before putting it on the rack<< You and Sir Seifer make a beautiful couple.

Three newest...three newest...uuuggghhh...I know this one... >>She rubbed the side of her face with a hand, nibbling her lower lip. It was difficult to be a gamer but a homeless person<< Uhhh...mmm...I'm guessing...the Wii...the xbox360...and...shoot. What came out first? The xbox or the ps3? sweatdrop Or possibly the nitendo DS...or PSP...Gah. >>She let her hands drop, scooting the matter under the carpet. Besides...she had a more easily accomplished goal. X<< Storm? Like...silver slash white haired dark skinned woman, Storm? Like in X men? But...I don't know who has spikey blonde hair there.... >>The female glanced at Percy, shaking her head with a light 'tsk' sound<< Supersmash it is then...I actually know how to play that one. Unless you want to do DDR. Better at that anyhow.

The White SeeD laughed, shutting the counter before taking the last of the dirty dishes to Maryline. "I won't mention it to him then. I can so see him talking you into one of those moon-walkers and doing just that."

Rune paused, smiling and looking off dreamily. "The kids will like those too." Her hand lightly set upon the small curve of her belly. How long would their gestation be? With a small chuckle she went to fetch the broom from the pantry. She blushed softly at the praise. "... thank you, Princess. I had so long dreamed..." Her pale green eyes were alight with love. "Hopes and dreams are funny things are they not?"

Percy looked at her blankly. "I wouldn't know even if you got it right, you know." He nodded as she went back to the games. "Yeah. That's it. Different than the blonde guys though." His frown was more of a pout at the sound Anon made at him. He was not the one trying to get him to talk about something he had barely glanced at while others were playing. He was still worried about Fred & George wanting to integrate magic into the games to make them more real. Thank God Trelweny had put her foot down there, stating they could ruin the games or the memory cards. Whatever that meant, Percy was glad they had backed down.

He shrugged. "Sure. Though if you really want to do the ddr thing there's other's that will play. Ms. Trelweny does sometimes though she claims she can't. Relms play, & Illyana. A few others I think."

>>Now the princess chuckled, setting aside another cup...a bowl...a few utensils<< I thank you...however...what is this... 'moon-walkers' that you speak of? >>Rome wasn't built in a day. Maryline still thought all cars were toyotas. Away went another plate, a mixing bowl, beaters...She shook her head<< There is no cause for gratitude, Lady Rune, for the expression of well known facts. It brings me great joy to see Sir Seifer so jubilant around you. You work better then any fire for his heart. >>This was all partly because it let her know that there was a soft side to the sEEd. She would have been worried otherwise. She pulled the drain<< ...Aye...Such wonderful...fragile things. >>She mentally pinched herself, not pleased at how much she wanted to hold this conversation...in Zells arms. Almost to declare to everyone that their dream wouldn't be breaking any time soon. It was a hope, a fragile hope, but a hope<<

>>She chuckled<< I know, I know. Still...like throwing my ideas out there, ya know? >>The female let the silence stretch then, gently bobbing in the air as she entertained herself with subtle shifts of her wings to move her to different positions within the same five foot radius as before. Her eyes flicked back to the owl, curious, confused. She blinked slightly<< Others?...Percy...you're the reason I would even play them<<

"I'm sure you'll see one when the children are here. It is much like a big balloon room filled with air to make it bounce inside."

Rune dried the dishes and put them away one at a time. Thoughtful. Ever thoughtful. "Sometimes our dreams are closer than we think."

He shrugged, nodding that even if he did not know Percy was at least listening to the logic.

Stunned he turned to look at Anon with wide eyes. "Me? But I thought you wanted to play the games..." Sometimes, Percy could be so dense.

OOC: >>head falls to the side<< shoot....four lines...my posts gonna suck again

BIC: Balloon...room? >>Her lips slowly parted, an image coming to mind of her walking into said room. Little balloon tables and pictures, with a baby grand balloon in the side of the wall. A balloon chandalier above with tinsel sticking from it instead of flames. She slowly shook her head<< Hard to believe. >>She added a bit more soap to the sponge before continuing in her cleaning, slipping the sponge down the counters. Who was saying dreams were far? The princess glanced at Rune, hand now moving across the stove top<< And sometimes...they are far enough to never reach them. >>Well...it always was preferable to have a type of balance. If one was too optimistic all the time, they would feel a lot of let downs<< Humerous, how hopes and dreams are so fickle.

Well, yeah. Psh, I mean, my older brother used to force me to play video games with him, so I kinda got hooked on them. Video games are fun. >>The smile faded and she strugged, looking back out infront<< If you recal the start of our conversation...I'm trying to suggest something fun...the kind that you wont find in any book. Like...you can read a book about bungy jumping, it might be the best book in the world on bungy jumping, but I can guarantee that if you try to bungy jump, you're going to find yourself highly underestimating it.

((sorry... sweatdrop it was either that or no post at all... ))

Oh dear. Rune could not quite tell it, but she had a suspicion she had failed dismally in explaining the moonwalker. At the same time... she was uncertain how to better describe it, not knowing exactly how Maryline was interpreting her explanation. No matter. The princess would see when the time came. Ever since the day the FTC Relm and her Naruto had gotten together the precocious pictomancer showed a propensity for 'painting' moonwalkers for the younger family members. Theron loved them.

Rune certainly was not implying dreams were far, but she new what Zell was attempting to do for Maryline and hoped it was something the princess wanted. After the way Maryline reacted to her own happy news... well Rune felt she had a fairly good idea even if she was interpreting too much into it. "Fickle, Princess? How so?" Strange almost how different the title sounded coming from Rune rather than her mate. Soft respect & gentle admiration from the woman who daydreamed so long of being something of a fairy queen. Of course that was a childish fantasy, kept alive throughout her life. The fulfillment of that dream was so much greater than she could have dreamed. Sweeping the floor Rune paused to lightly lay a hand on her belly. Much greater.

".... oh. Right." Actually... he had momentarily forgotten. Trying to think of all these unfamiliar things. Percy's whole body spoke of his discomfort at all of this. "Bungee jumping..." He gave a shudder. If he didn't care for wizarding sports why in the world would he be interested in a muggle one? Not even reading, much less experiencing. The notion made the wizard feel almost sick to his stomach.

Ahead was Bass'ken woods, the clearing within almost visible from this height. Interesting. "Well you soon will have a chance to convince me that they are. Fun, that is."

>>She wiped down the stove, gently scrubbing at the melted batter or some other dried food. This was admittedly nice. It was quiet, almost theraputic... The princess glanced behind her once, the sponge stilling. It felt wonderous to have the title pronounced...correctly. She smiled softly<< They are quite baised...changing on the whim of their creator...One moment one aspires to be a singer, the next an artist. A fickle creator creates fickle dreams.

>>SHE thought Bungee Jumping sounded like a blast. Then again, flying sorta was like that<< I'll give it my best shot. >>She sharply angled up and to the side, moving her body to hover right above his. Her wing beats were in sync enough so only her body had to fit inbetween his wingspan even with his widest stroke. She always did little things like this, curious, adventurous. The female reached down, lightly touching his shoulderblade<< 4laugh This is actually really really cool!
PostPosted: Tue Feb 12, 2008 4:17 pm

Sweeping the floor crumbs into a neat little pile Rune went to the closet for the dustpan. Thankfully one of those where one did not have to bend down. She was not showing much, but bending like that was a discomfort already. "Oh, so it is not the dream that is fickle so much as the dreamer?" She waited for the reply and then softly. "If I may be so bold, Princess Maryline... what then is your dream? I know Zell will not ask it of you, but we would see to help you reach it, if in our power."

Anything she said vanished into his thoughts the moment it dawned on him what Anon was doing. Or rather, mostly figured it out. Percy had no idea what the fallen angel was actually doing. "Aaaa! What are you doing!" It was an extreme force of willpower and concentration that kept his flight anywhere near where it should be, realizing as he did that should he fail to succeed he could bring them both down. Bloody hell! & she thought this was fun?!?

In that prospect, yes. However, who can tell which dream shall come true, and which shall fade away? >>She returned to her cleaning, finishing up the stove to move on down the counter. They were almost done, at this rate, they might even beat the males back...The female closed her eyes, faintly smiling now<< My dream... such temerarious question to ask of me, Lady Rune. >>Maryline walked back to the sink, flicking on the water again to wash the sponge<< Very well... >>She calmly watched the watched the water flow into the sink and down the drain, calm, serene<< My dream is...to be with my True One...without restraint or restrictions... >>it was the closest she would ever become to telling Rune of her burning desire to have a family. Quite simply she did. Just left a good deal of other interpretations open as well<< What of you?

Flying. >>she responded simply, as though not seeing a single thing wrong with this. One false move, one stroke faster or slower then before and...well, they would make interesting looking smears against the ground<< Just relax. Lifes too short to fuss about. The better question to be asking is...how am I going to seperate from you again without killing us both?

EDIT:
OOC: o_o I just realized...'line just gave Zell a nick.
PostPosted: Wed Feb 13, 2008 2:21 pm

Rune nodded softly. Yes, she had asked with temerity. But she had left it fair open for Maryline to refuse her request. She paused in her sweeping to better listen to the answer, to see how the princess stood and otherwise spoke silently. 'True One'? Delightful. And she was honored that Maryline should actually share it with her. 'Without restraint or restriction'... Rune's hand once more lighted upon her belly. They could not... have what she and Seifer did. Could not even publicly confess or show their feelings. Why what Zell did as it was probably too much! Certainly they could not... marry... or have children... "No wonder you ran... my apologies, Princess."

A murmur, nothing more. Not carrying her usual projection though still clear it was a whisper of even her normally soft voice. Not really intending to be heard, but not minding overly much if it were.

"My dream? Always the same since I was a child. The dream of a Faerie Queen and her Knight." She laughed softly, lunar moth wings fluttering gently behind her as she swept the dirt pile into the dust pail then poured them into the garbage, hidden behind a cabinet door. "It has shifted from the childish fantasy only a little, and become real. Stepped beyond, and become better than anything I could dream."

Rune turned her gentle smile on the princess. "Everything we can do... we will."

The door opened and Trelweny peeked in with a smile. "Sorry we're late. The boys needed help figuring out what to ask Myr to conjure and there just didn't seem a point in dropping in without being able to get the ingredients...umph!" The human was pushed with a huff into the room, causing her to flail her arms to regain her balance. Rolling her eyes, Myranda righted her then pulled the anthro-fox Ginny in after her. The kitsu Ginny followed at a more leisurely pace, trying not to laugh.

"They're setting up. Now... what's the menu." While she talked the GaiaCom removed a cauldron charm from a charm bracelet at her wrist. The room started to grow to accommodate as even as the charm became full sized at Myranda's feet. Lightly she set her black gloved fingers on the rim, mint-green eyes leveling with the princess' expectantly. "And do you want prepared dishes or ingredients."

"Relax... Relax she tells me." Percy muttered in a near panic. He was really starting to not like flying. Really. Oh God...! How were they going to get out of this? He made a sound somewhere between a whimper a groan & an exclamation. "Wah!!! Can't you just... get out the way you got in?!?"

>>Indeed, she didn't hear, probably wouldn't even if Rune had projected. Lost within her own thoughts as she washed the sponge. Finally she turned off the water and started wiping down the counters again to rid it of the soap. '...same since I was a child.' She focused on the others words, pushing away her private thoughts. The female softly laughed, genuinely laughed<< You speak no untruth with that Lady Rune. Your child self would have bitten her tongue if she knew what happened beyond the fairy tales... >>And thusly, her smile faded, eyes soft but serious on the moth<< If only there was something that could be done. >>She smoothly turned at the soft click of the door opening, immediatly smiling once more. The princess graciously nodded<< Greetings m'Lady Trelweny, Lady Myranda, and Lady Ginny. Merry Renascibilitas.... >>She tried not to stare too much at the charm, having the honor of seeing Myr's magic once or twice before...but it still came as such a shock. The princess blinked at the female, the questions just registering. She shook her head slightly<< The usual I do suppose...all prepared. We certainly lack the daylight to cook. A few cooked pheasants, Sirloin of Beef roast, Venison, Turkey and duck. Baked potatoes as a side with a few floured Artichokes, perhaps a pot of Pease-soup. I do suppose beverages will be needed...preferably of water, cream, Seaon Wine, and tea, however the Syllabub is most important All but the wine and Syllabub can be retrieved however from here. As for desert...vanilla pudding has always sat best.

Well...ya see...I got here by angling up so I can fall into position with your downstroke. Unfortunatly, if I try to raise, my wings would need more room to move as to not hit yours, which would ultimately make my movements slower then yours and you would hit me anyway. I could try to let myself fall back, but my wings would have to be completely still and extended upwards which would cause me to drop into you. So! That basically just leaves you dropping from me, but to drop away you would have to shift your speed which would inevitably interfere with the sync that's keeping us safe. >>Huh...perhaps she should have thought more on this beforehand<< So...yeah, I can't.
