Still watching the hands, Ranu flicked another glance up. The touching was so unStorm like. "The spirit," Ranu said, grinning weakly, "Is in a bottle."

Storm ignored the obvious sarcasm and took it as a compliment. She seemed to be doing that a lot lately.
"Why, thank you!"
She pulled her hand free, finally of Ranu's.
"So, if it is not too painful, why do you react thus when someone calls you a screw up? Not that I am at the moment. I'll save that for later, when I am mad or wish you gone."
She grinned.

"My fathers always viewed me as the families black sheep." he explained, ignoring the irony of a black sheep Blackheart. "He called me a screw up, failiure, mistake, and disgrace to the family name. Stuff you love to hear, obviously." His hands clenched white as they tightened into fists that made his palms get cut by his nails, "So now whenever I'm called it, I start to belive it, and it angers me, beause I hate thinking so."

Storm raised an eyebrow.
"Somehow I keep thinking humans are one way, then one will say soemthing and it will change what I thought of humans? A man, your sire, called you a few instults and noted all your mistakes, which eventually gets to you and sends you into a blind rage? Perhaps you are not as strong as I had orignally thought, if such a simple act affects you so."

Ranu raised an eyebrow. "I'll ask a question, you answer it truthfully. If your child, in training, had managed to disarm you and mock out a 'kill', would you call them a screw up for that?"

"Probably not. Supposing, of course, that I do in fact have a godsforsaken child and do not give to another to act as wean mother. Then again, it could be male. In which case, then yes I would."
