Coming back from the feast, Anna felt more tired than ever. I don't even know why, it's not like I was doing anything there., she thought. She hadn't eaten much and was still a bit hungry. Well, I guess I'd better eat up all the things I've taken from home before they go off. It's not like I won't be having three meals a day here, with all those poor elves who are being exploited in the kitchens. She opened her backpack, and took out a bag of pastry. She put it on the table for everyone to see. "Please, help yourself", she offered it to the other students that were in the room at the moment.

"MIRANDA!!! If you're going to say something like that, at least you have to say earmuffs! Jeez, have you learned NOTHING?" Mikki shudders after hearing what Miranda has said. "You are a bad girl Miranda!"

"Why would I have to say earmuffs if the person I thought I was talking to was on me?? I mean, if I was talking to them, I would want them to hear it." She couldn't help but break out laughing now. "I'm just kidding, I figured it was you. I was trying to creep you out. Did it work?"

"Yussss! It worked tons! That is evile!" Mikki jumps off of Miranda and sits on the edge of her bed. "How could you be sleeping anyway? It's impossible to sleep here!"

Miranda laughs even harder. She tried to cover her mouth with her hands, hoping it would muffle her laughter. It didn't work, it was the same. Miranda laughed even harder and harder. "Sorry! Please ignore the first year laughing her head off!" Miranda keeps laughing.

"Oh, it's perfectly fine if you laugh. In fact, I would have to beat you if you weren't laughing, Miranda!" Mikki jumps off of the other Miranda's bed and goes to give Belle another owl treat. "Sorry I haven't been giving you much lately.... There just isn't much to write. Don't worry, once class starts again you'll get plenty of letters!" Mikki goes over to her bed and pulls the covers over her. "It's really quite cold in here.... Hwy is that? It's APRIL for cryin' out loud!" Mikki bangs her head on a post of her bead.

Carrigan wandered back into the Common Room, full from the tiny amount of food he'd eaten for breakfast, and surprised by it. He made a beeline immediately for his favourite chair in the corner of the room and folded his legs under himself. He could hear laughter and talking coming from the girl's dormitory, and he wondered absently what the cause of it was. Eventually, his mind drifted to something else, and that something else was the lack of other male Ravenclaws. He hadn't seen a single one! The concept was a bit startling, really, when Carrigan realized there was quite the possibility that he would be the only one for the entire term... maybe longer. He didn't really mind, since he got along better with females anyway. Something about how they actually let him alone and knew when to back off.

Anna was pretty surprised that she was being so blatantly ignored by other girls. So, she decided she'd go for a walk and clear her head. When she went down the stairs she noticed Carrigan sitting (or more like crouching) in one of the chairs. She gave him a smile and said "Hi", before she went out of the Common room and in to the hall. Now if I could only remember where that Room of Requirement was. I found it once when I was still an elf. Is it fourth floor? Or fifth?, Anna thought to herself. I'm not really sure how much I'm gonna like it in here., she pondered. The atmosphere in the dormitory was certainly less than welcoming.

"Mow mow mow.... Iiiiii'mmm bored. Yupp." Mikki crouches in the corner and starts to rock back and forth. Yah, she's bored all right.... "GOBBLE GOBBLE GOBBLE!!!"

Alutian heaved the scrolls she carried further up in her arms, adjusted her grip on them, and continued down the corridor. The sooner she got those lists done, the better...
On the way, she passes a lost-looking first-year wearing a ravenclaw crest. Alutian smiles quickly.
"Welcome to Ravenclaw. Let's see...you're..." She flips a scroll out of the pile and scans it quickly. "Anna, right? Or is it Anne - oh, wait, nevermind that one - she's a fourth year Hufflepuff." Alutian's voice drops to a confused mutter. "What the blazes is a fourth year Hufflepuff doing on my list of first year Ravenclaws?"

Miranda, still half asleep, jumped on mikki and embraced her in a huge hug. "HI mikki!!! What's up? I'm pretty bored too. What do you want to do?"

Carrigan watched Anna exit the Common Room with a strange expression on his face. He shook his head and got up from his chair, choosing to favour one closer to the fireplace. He warmed his hands over the flames for a moment before pulling his chair closer and curling up in it again. He yawned slightly, his eyes wandering across the virtually empty Common Room and over the portraits and things decorating the walls. Eventually, he folded his arms on the arms of the chair and rested his cheek against his wrist, watching the flames and falling into a light doze.

Figuring that, for some reason or another, Mikki was mad at her again, Miranda got up and went to sit by the fire in her chair. There was a book on the table, so she picked it up and began reading. Her mind was still racing with thoughts and questions she wanted to ask Carrigan.
After a while of pretending to read, Carrigan got up, so she started talking. She had realized that he probably wasn't listening, but she didn't care. She cleared her throat and-
"Hey Carrigan. I know you probably aren't fully awake yet, and you probably don't even want to talk to me right now, and I don't blame you of you don't, but I have a question." She paused for a moment, then pressed on. "Who was that girl you were talking to in the Great Hall earlier?"

Being only half-awake, Carrigan jumped upon hearing Miranda's tense voice. He rolled over in his chair, one arm draped over the side, and blearily searched the girl out, finding her not very far from where he was. He rubbed at his eye as he murmured hoarsely, "Why wouldn't I want to talk to you?" Then, slightly more nonplussed, "...Anna, you mean? She's another Ravenclaw first year. She shared a boat with me coming across the lake from the Express."
He curled up tighter in his chair and stared at Miranda unwaveringly. "Do I sense discomfort?"
