Katrea thought about heading back to see Maki, but he new it had been hard on her, all this, so he felt he better not. he walked through the streets one last time before he headed over to the island to get the men ready for the up coming war.
"I only hope that the first attack never comes"
Katrea said to himself before turning into the town square.
Joan still sat at Maki’s side listening to her story, it was a strange one and Joan found it hard to understand, yet alone believe it all.
"Maki, I’m not sure about all this but even if there was pain in your past it helped you to become who you are, who knows what you would be with out that pain, so live in the now, ok."
Joan placed her hand around Maki and let maki rest on her shoulder.
"i wouldn’t worry about Katrea, he has played an important role too. In all this maybe his memory loss is just something he had to have happen to him."

Risa darted in front of the solider back tracking and stared up angrily.
"just what do you think your doing?"
she clenched her fist tightly so that her knuckles could be heard clenching and moved closer to stare the guard blankly in the face. he moved back slightly shocked then put on a stern face.
"dark creatures like him are forbidden here. we know what there capable of and how letting one in would pollute are fair city. look around and you can see what unnatural creatures like that have already done"
he lowered his spear to point to the dead rats and the rubble around them.
"he is a trusted friend and you have no right to treat him like that. i trust him a lot more than i trust you"
"sorry but he can not pass"
risa fumed over and was just about to smash the mans face in to help him change his mind

Squirm slowly picked himself of the hard ground feeling the scrapes on his knees and elbow then moved his cloak back placing a hand on risas shoulder.
"its ok risa, let them say what they will ive dealt with worse. ill be fine out here. you go find out any information you can"
the guard stared at him sternly but he didnt even attempt to stare back and smiled to risa then moved closer whispering to her.
"besides im sure theres a way i can sneak somewhere to watch over you and see what going on. you just carry on inside"

Laying her head on Joan's shoulder Maki sighed.
"You're right, sis," she admitted. "Sometimes I'm not sure of the things that have happened. But I do know I'm free now thanks to everyone who has protected me while I was ill. Even my real father who died at the hands of Andreas."
Maki looked down and squeezed Shinja's shoulder, "Even those who have sacrificed their own lives to save me."

Katrea was heading for the entrance to the castle and found people had already started to arm themselves for the war and now it seemed they were fully ready to fight, but their attitude would change. katrea new the evils of war, he had heard them many times and the stories could only bring fear.
“the would will change after this war, I can tell its going to be big.”
Katrea looked at the gates as a group began to walk in, there was some fuss with the guards but it didn’t escalate. Katrea decided to avoid it for now and head over the broken wall that was beginning to get higher.

We're still in the process, so sorry for my constant absence.]] Shinja stared at the perfect sky above him, the tanned woman named Aisis slowly stroking his chest as the two laid side by side in the golden bed. "My love, what will become of me...of us...?" The woman smiled. "You and I both know what's become of me, Siris." Shinja, who was now being referred to by the name given to him when he became king, sighed as the clouds above him slowly passed through the sky. "Yes, I know...then what should I do? I want to stay here with you, but--" "But you would be abandoning them in a time of need, Siris. Even if the age of our kind has past, you are still the Cetra's king. Your duty is to protect their world.""I suppose you're right...but--" Aisis hushed Shinja, placing her finger on his lips and smiling. "You need to return to them now, my love. We'll see each other again. Trust me. For now...goodbye."~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ In his mind, a flash of light woke Shinja up. He gazed at his surroundings, looking up to see Maki's face. To protect their world...to protect my friends.

risa looked to squirm slowly letting her hands relax and nodding, she knew he was right above all else answers for what she wanted came first but she contemplated what such little minded people could offer for information now.
"ok squirm, ill try not to be to long"
she stared at the guard with an almost feral snarl pushing past him and hoped the others would have no trouble getting past the city gates. if she had anything to do about it she would make them let squirm through but trouble was not what they needed here right now.
moving through the streets it was clear to see the preparation that was taking place, the queen was series about this. a war, what worse things are there. hurrying along eager to speak to the queen she stopped by some more guards.
"Where is the queen? i must speak to her"
the guard looked her over staring at her oddly.
"who is it that wishes to speak to the queen so urgently and on what matter?"
"my name is risa, i need to know who started this and if a young girl i amongst the injured. her name is kali"
"Kali Aceldama !"
the guards raised there weapons towards her and she lifted her arms surprised.
"if your one of her treacherous spies we will teach you what it means to come into are land, you know fully well kali Aceldama the president of the al bhed forces is the one who has started this. come, if your so eager to see the queen you can explain this to her"
"wha...."
risa felt as she was prodded and went along with being led away. it really was her she thought to herself saddened as she walked.

As Maki spoke with Joan she glanced down and noticed Shinja was awake.
"You're alive," she said smiling then frowned. "Are you going to break my heart and leave again?"

Shinja let out a muffled laugh. Although he'd once again been separated from his, he couldn't help but feel happy to be back in this world -- a world where he had friends who loved him and cared for him. He could do nothing but smile as he looked up to Maki, who was the one friend he held closest to his heart.
"Of course not, Maki. You will always have me at your side."

Zetsuei appeared quite a bit away from the temple, he was standing on a building which overlooked most of the city. There he took a deep breath and sat down, his purple hair blowing in the wind. He sat thinking about all he had been through and what was to come.

Maki smiled and hugged him then kissed his forehead.
"I have so much to tell you," she said with a tear of joy falling down her cheek. "I have learned many things since your absence that I need to tell you. But for now when my legs are strong enough I want to talk to Katrea. Oh. Sorry. .... Joan. This is Shinja ... Shinja ... this is my sister Joan."

squirm stared to the others.
"go on, you all go ahead ill be fine"
with that he slunk back walking away from the castle till he was out of sight hidden behind trees nearby and gazed over to check he was no longer watched. he hadn't realized how against none humans the people of alavia really were.
with one swift movement he darted across the field hidden slightly in mist then crept up along the open fields and near the ridges of the open shore from there he found some debris of rocks and limestone piled up to lift him high and help him to get a birds eye view of the goings on in the castle. he pulled a small device made from tattered creatures skin and extended it into a spy glass like object.
"they was no doubt, they were preparing for war, no doubt about it"
he looked below at the castle grounds and saw risa being marched towards the castle tower, this didn't look good but there was little he good do at this point in time only watch and help when he new he had to. placing the spy glass back down he saw something, like ash still slightly alight falling in the wind and watched them go out to sea. strange, was it a funeral of one of the soldiers, he had heard of the dead be honored by being burnt in flames but something about these ashes were different.

Yarshe nodded sadly, reluctant to carry out Squirm's request, but was forced to when he left so quickly. She looked back at Chey/Nightmare and entered the city.
It was apparant there had been a battle from all the mess and cleanup occuring. Then it struck her....
Confused, Yarshe spun around. She saw Risa go in ahead of them, but where was she now?
"Risa?"

the guards quickly turned hearing the name of the one they were escorting.
"is this one with her to"
the guard grabbed yarshea by the arm and holding her tightly.
"hey dont be so rough! just take us to the queen, i just want answers"
risa could easily break a couple of noses here but now was not the time as they were led towards the tower gate.
