I don't understand how people fork up the money for a transition, honestly.

[Q] I don't understand how people fork up the money for a transition, honestly. Mostly by working their asses off. People I know personally have also done things like...doing community service and asking for donations. Using money set aside for college. Escort work. Basically, any way they ******** can.

You really sound like you're annoyed by my ignorance, Astri. You should really flame me somewhere before you get an ulcer from that. :/

Well to answer about transition, it all depends on the individual and how far they're willing to transition. MtF's have the ability to change their body and actually have a v****a if that's what they want. Of course not all of them need to go the far to feel like themselves. All the procedures involved are very very costly. It just depends if the individual thinks its worth it. For FtM's there is no way of actually creating a p***s. We can only transition so far. We can get surgery but I personally don't think it is worth it. We can have our breasts removed. Both parties can take horomones. But tranisitioning doesn't really require changing the body. Even crossdressing can be considered enough. I'm still very young. Seventeen that is. For now I just want to dress and look enough like a boy to pass. That can also be costly because I need things like binders. A complete stranger is actually sending me an old binder of there's for free. I'm just really lucky. I may eventually start taking testosterone. I would like to have my breasts removed but at the moment, surgery sounds scary. I am just a kid after all. I know transitioning can sound silly and seem like a waste of money, but really if you were born in the wrong body, wouldn't you do what it took to at least come close to feeling normal?

Whoah, now. Being genderqueer is a topic like rotten meat to me. Somebody mentioned I was one and I've been pretty much avoiding it ever since.
Only thing I'm really interested in, though, is if there's a way to spay humans. I'm sure there is a way, and it can be done, to stop periods and such, but my mom is all liek "IT WILL NEVER HAPPEN!" Since you have to go through, like, weeks of psch evaluations and counseling before getting even your tubes tied.
Which is dumb. Shouldn't everyone be HAPPY you're not having any more babies? confused <-- Totally VHEMT.

Yes, but, is it possible for women who have not reached menopause? More correctly.. Is it legal? 0_o

Well, it's medical proceedure that's used to treat a number of diseases and conditions (cancer, for example). Like most major surgery, you can't just go in and get it done -- you need an okay from a doctor (a gender therapist, if your trans and it's part of your transition).

What?! What do you think this is, the picture thread? You do look very androgenous. I think you look the most boyish in the middle picture. If you were male born, I'd say you looked between the ages of 14 and 16. Most tranyboys tend to look kind of prepubescent before they go on T. Is that something you're interested in, btw? Am I getting too personal? You can tell me to go the ******** away... Oh, also, body dysphoria aside, you are in no way ugly. Never, ever say that again. razz
