[Uva-Naranja Academy: Nurse's Office]
When Cera came in with Atticus and Pokemon Hypno would immediately help her drag their bodies, the Psychic thankful for his more sturdy form in these moments compared to his physical frail comrades.
"Um...could someone help this person...?" A teen asked for help as they dragged in another Star grunt, a large mushroom growing from their head. Another victim it would seem. Hypno would step up and take the Star grunt from the teen who then proceeded to stretch their back, no doubt sore from dragging the much bigger student, the teen fairly scrawny. With a sigh they took out their purple vape, pushed their long black hair out of their face and took a long hit and let it out with a deep sigh, the faintly purple smoke that came from his nose wafting towards Monique. "Dang...things are getting...crazy..." Indie the young Poison Channeler said to no one in particular.
[Uva-Naranja Academy: Central Courtyard]
Nurse Miriam stood there and listened to Crystal, patting her on the back as she spoke, letting the hybrid get it all out there. Once she was done the nurse smiled. "It's okay to be scared, we all get scared some times, even the mightiest of us. But remember dear, courage is not the absence of fear, but rather the assessment that something else is more important than fear. And fears are nothing but a state of mind." The nurse would then leave Crystal with those words as she turned to tend to the other students. She definitely wasn't going to make it back to her office any time soon, she just hoped her Pokemon were doing well enough without her.
[Artazon City]
Eventually Tsuki would make it to the city limits of Artazon and no doubt would the boy keep going until he made it to the gym, landing in front of it. Once Tsuki landed and made his way in he would find the usual lady standing behind the desk to greet trainers, and Tsuki would be no different. "Hello! And welcome to- oh uh...the Gym Leader isn't here right now." The woman's normal greeting would be interrupted by Tsuki who would of course explain why he was there only for him to find out that Brassius was not there. If he explained things further, that is why they needed Brassius, the woman would come up with an alternative solution.
"Head south until you hit Artazon Lake, there you will find several log cabins, the Artazon Commune of Artisanal Grass Channelers. Arturo, the chairman of the commune, is a very talented Grass Channeler, he might be able to assist you." The woman informed Tsuki.

"Thanks..." Cera said, grateful for the Hypno's help. In the moment, she wondered how easily they or any of the other Pokemon saw through her, noticing another teen enter the room. She felt a sort of energy from them too... a channeler, maybe? "Uh... huh... I'm gonna see if anyone else needs to be brought in, excuse me." She'd walk out of the office quickly, starting towards the courtyard to see about getting more of the grunts inside. Before she could get far, though, she'd be hit with a stray thought in Crystal's voice. "We want to exist, we want to exist, I want to exist..."She'd stop and look over to the Solgaleo hybrid after Nurse Miriam resumed what she was doing, and walked over to sit down next to her. "Hey, do you wanna talk? You can sense it too, right? The thing Aile was screaming about." She didn't want to mention the stray thoughts, but she had a feeling it wouldn't be hard to deduce. --- It wouldn't take a psychic to feel the sort of power the Ziton began to display, an almost bitter taste entering his beak. He'd brace himself and keep himself over Aden to keep him safe when the ground started to shake and pink energy encroached the ground. Shortly after, he'd feel like his talons had grown heavier, like they didn't want to leave the ground. He'd be able to move them with some difficulty, but it was never long before the feeling returned. Aden, however, would be able to pick up on the energy more easily. "The psychic energy's swelling..." He remarked. "It's feeling... heavy, crushing. Need to move..." "Right." Taking Aden's word for it, he'd start for the ball holding his Cyclizar, only to stop as soon as he got the ball ready. Crap. He hadn't had a chance to recall his Pokemon before Reno sent him and Sub here. The ones he sent out at the Academy were still there. Cursing his lapse in thinking, he'd put the ball away and motion to Poe and Aden's Umbreon. "You two stick with him. Sword drawn again, he'd try to navigate his way through the terrain, largely forcing himself to move to lessen the feeling of being weighted down. He might not have been able to help with the Starmobile, but he needed to keep himself in this somehow, having the feeling that staying still would ensure he'd be compromised. As Umbreon tried to keep around Aden, he'd manage to get his SNAG to try sending out a local broadcast. "K-keep moving... don't know what it's doing, but the energy... feels heavy."

While the impact was certainly going to leave a mark, Reno wasn't liable to complain at the being saved part of it all. Going with the impact and rolling across the ground, he would find himself next to Sub and Blizz's little deconstruction project. And eventually be let in on the plan, which mostly consisted of making sure that everyone involved didn't end up Ziton bait. Thankfully, despite the Psychic Terrain and slight pulling he was beginning to feel at his legs to bind himself to the ground, all it would take was releasing his Alolan Raichu to direct some psychic force from his feet and lift himself clear of what seemed like the major issue here. And with Aile right next to her Flygon, Aden having an Umbreon play interference, and Phemes the Metagross moving away from where the chi converter had been to place Harleen and Kaiden on her back as she began to levitate via Magnet Rise, that was everyone who might have difficulties making initial efforts to evade the strange energy attempting to bind them to the ground. I mean, how hard was it to detect the sudden increase in weight?
Cracking his neck, the one-armed warrior would take off towards where the Ziton was slowly growing in size, ricocheting off the walls and flying through the maze using the levitation force as a sheath around him instead of simply projecting it out of his feet. It was starting to get a little ridiculous but he would eventually find what he hoped was an opening straight towards the Ziton. Raising his one hand, a small ball of energy would gather and then fire itself off towards the monstrous entity. Tapping into his well of energy that he had been gathering from all the impacts and damage that he had been taking, he would begin to attempt strafing around the Ziton and firing off a flurry of the Charge Counter blasts in an effort to at minimum get attention through annoyance. But hopefully he would be causing some actual damage with this harrying assault and he would make his valiant escape using his teleportation to take advantage of the fact he didn't need to suffer any major consequences for this assault.
Figuring his best spot to teleport back to would be where Aile had been, Reno would see Ter....still standing there at almost the same spot he had been when Reno had been sent flying by Aile away from that spot.
Had he been standing there all that time?
Despite his own efforts to think better of his fellow Snagem, he was beginning to gain a suspicion why exactly the Ziton might not have been paying Ter much attention. Either way, time to ruin his own escape to make sure that at least Ter wasn't wounded.
"Kaiden! Ally Switch Ter out of the danger!" Reno shouted, giving a sigh as he felt his own power increase and teleportation faltering as all of the focus went to the Alakazam generating a psychic energy field around Ter and the two switching places. Turning his focus back to the Ziton as he prayed for his escape to the outside of the walls to return, Reno did his best to try and utilize his increased analytical ability to figure out what was about to happen and see where he could focus his levitative force to try and push back at least some of....whatever it was going to be.

Crystal listened to Miriam, contemplating the words. They’re something she needed to hear, after so long of not having too much to worry about during her travels. There certainly was something to be said about leaving whenever you wanted, and for the most part, doing her best to not get wrapped up in the major affairs of each reality she had visited. Some had been more successful than others. Overall, though, she didn’t have much to fear during those trips. This… was different. On a whole other level. Most she had to worry about was keeping others safe during her trips, there were very few times where she felt her own life was threatened. And none of them were like this. She had already barely come out of that once before, and she was irrevocably changed. What would happen if she never came back this time?
What if the others didn’t come back?
She was the only one she knew of that had managed to come back in some fashion from the Ziton. Maybe that might help her? She didn’t know, maybe it would only make her more vulnerable. She didn’t know.
What if the others didn’t come back?
Her mental reverie would be broken when Cera walked up to the galactic cat, asking if she wanted to talk. “We… We’ll spare you the ramble. Yes. To both of those. The Ziton’s here. And this time, they went after Aden,” she muttered, turning to look at the currently Mew hybrid. That was progress. “W- Don’t like it. Scared. Don’t want to rejoin it.” Crystal just decided to say it in a way where she didn’t have to use pronouns. If she wasn’t able to control it, she just was going to avoid it as much as she could. “What about the others, though? Reno, Sub, and Sol went to go fight it as well. To our knowledge, at least. What if they still need help?”
“I’d say go in and help them kick its hide ten ways to Sunday,” Apolla would chime in, now putting her second front paw on her trainer’s knees and pushing herself up. “I’d go and help my friends!”
“Apolla, you haven’t seen this thing.”
“You won’t show me!”
The hybrid would stare at her Espeon, who was staring right back. “Light burn me to slag, I really should go help them, don’t I?” She really didn’t want to see it again, she didn’t want to end again.
“I’m going with you this time. Because I’m not losing you this time.” Without waiting for Crystal, the Espeon would drop down and walk over to a more open area, summoning a clear wall and a shimmering wall of light. The psychic foxcat would then start pushing on the clear one, trying to shove them together on her own. “This can’t be.. That… hard!”
A gigantic sigh would emerge from the galactic cat, very shakily standing up. “Apolla. We use steel chi to bring them together and stabilize them.” Crystal would put one hand on each wall her Espeon made and focused, pushing them together easily and weaving them together with relative ease, for not ‘owning’ the walls, at least. “Cera, what do you think? What’s your plan?” — “Tati… I don’t think it's happy.”
“Gyyooon.” Tatooine shook her head with her trainer, both of them staring up at the Ziton, the trainer racking her head for ideas. It had messed with her perception of things and people for the most part, though omitting Sub entirely and his Hydreigon was unchanged. All of that together might mean that it was a psychic type? It was targeting Aden and Reno as well, so it might track there. Now might not be a bad time for-
Aile reached down onto her belt for Sarlaac’s Pokeball, only to find the orb not there. “Huh? Where?” She looked around, only to see the Safari Ball was apparently not that far away from where she first was, before the Ziton had altered her perception on.. well, life and current events at that point. The cry would be enough to make Aile and her Flygon both shiver, with Aile shaking her head and smacking her lips. “What in the Nine Hells…” She turned to look at her dragon, who flapped her wings a couple times and shook her own head to try and snap out of things. “Tatooine, we need to recover Sarlaac, let’s go!” The Flygon would take off as her trainer jumped on, pleased how much easier she seemed to balance with that second arm back. Tati would soar up and forwards, speeding over to-
Tati would crash into one of the walls, bouncing off of it and losing some air in the process. Aile managed to stay on her back, but noticed that her Flygon was starting to have issues regaining height. “Dammit, what the hell? Tati, try to navigate and glide as best as you can! Don’t worry about climbing, let’s just get as close as we can!” She nodded and did her best to keep aloft and move, getting to that damned Pokeball. It was taking way too long, though, time they probably didn’t have.

Cera almost didn't hear Crystal when another stray thought caught her, making her look at her SNAG again. Shortly after she did hear her, Crystal might pick up on a stray thought from her too alongside a hard sigh as she tried not to dwell on it. What if it goes after me too?Crystal's reversion back into the odd choice of pronouns was still odd to her, but based on the limited knowledge she heard back in Galar- and getting nothing back when she asked more about it- she couldn't blame it for happening. It scared her a lot more than she visibly let on, but her mind raced and swam mightily in a sea of fears. Fear of the others not coming back, of it taking Aden or anyone else on the Ziton's menu. Of it taking her, and her identity with it, to be another mind on the same mission as the rest it already claimed. She looked back at the grunts of Team Star, being helped around however they could, and then at the ground when Crystal asked about the others. She wouldn't get a chance to answer when Apolla chimed in, perking up at the mental broadcast and looking at the Espeon staring at Crystal. "...I haven't seen it either," Cera finally remarked, sighing again. Still trying to keep herself grounded. "And I'm worried about it too. Worried about getting in the way, of it seeing me and deciding it's found even more targets. Though guess that one's mutual, you've actually dealt with it. And lived. Somehow." She'd look at the grunts again, then at Apolla again and the walls she summoned. Reflect? Light Screen? She didn't understand why the two moves until the remark about steel chi. "Wait, what are you doing with steel chi? I... don't really recall those moves being used like anything beyond a shield..." It seemed Crystal was bound to go there, if Apolla had anything to say about it. And then she was asked about her plans, closing her eyes and letting out a rather uncharacteristic whimper. After everything with Ein, one would think not much could faze her anymore. But if anything could, it was the uncertain. And the Ziton certainly qualified at that, if the only description she had was 'pink mass of energy'. But she'd eventually send a mental broadcast, feeling that some of the Pokemon Sol sent out had been left nearby. At the very least, she felt Buzzwole might be more at ease if they had some idea of what to do. "...hey. Don't be alarmed. Help out here as best you can. They'll.... WE'LL be back."Afterwards, she opened her eyes and stood up to join Crystal. "Sorry. Take me with you. I probably won't be much help, but I can't leave them alone. I... I need to see this thing for myself, know what Sub was talking about after it got you."

The hybrid would take a deep breath as she finished her work, the end result looking like a standard square, but the two were merged into one, and looked pretty much identical to a lightboard Crystal would make herself. "This exists like it does so that we avoid dropping into the bottom of the ocean and trying to walk for a week underwater trying to get to shore if we open a wormhole over water." She'd reorient it, and step on, Apolla jumping on right afterwards. "Kairos, you return, at least. One's going to be stubborn and stay out, we don't want another one." Recalling the Sigilyph while waiting for Cera to board, the Sunne hybrid would wait until Cera was settled before taking off, going at a decent pace until they were out of the courtyard, where the speed would sharply increase. Notably, Crystal was trembling at least a little bit the entire time. She might have been not exactly the most enthused to go, like she had to go to a dentist to get teeth pulled, but she was going at least.

"...huh. Wonder how hard it'd be to do that. Probably not happening without transforming into you, though," Cera remarked, a little surprised at the lightboard in action. As she got on, she had to admit it was pretty neat... but not knowing the moves herself, or an easy way to produce steel chi, replicating it herself was off the table. Her thoughts would give way back to what she was sensing as the board flew off, intensifying the further they went. "So, what was that thing... like..." Much as she wanted the information, have some idea of what to expect on arrival, seeing Crystal trembling like she was told her that asking now wasn't a good time. She'd need to learn on the fly, presuming they weren't too late already. "...if it helps, I'm terrified too. Almost all I can sense is dread, and my mind won't leave the thoughts it's fixated on. Hopefully the others have a handle on things." Keeping a firm hold so she wouldn't get flung off, she found herself looking underneath the lightboard, fearful of what she'd eventually see and hoping the dread would go away.

With the plan set, it was time to move; every miniscule second counted when it came to the likes of something like…this. I would leap off the Starmobile and ran around the Ziton to another position, taking out a Pokeball as I did so. I had to run to a Pokémon Center to be able to exchange my Pokémon out just to at the very least get a Pokémon that I could teleport me over close by to here before I arrived with a Sheer Cold blazing. I was under the assumption that maybe the thing with Team Star came to a head or perhaps something came up with Freth and Raifort, but heck if I knew it was this thing again. It was probably a good thing that I did make the exchanges for a ‘worst case scenerio’; to take the likes of my party that I had at the time wouldn’t have been able to stand too much of a chance with all considered. “Go! Weavile!” I shouted.
I tossed the ball out and out in a flash, out came the loyal dark and ice type, ready for battle. “Wea-VILE!?” Weavile exclaimed looking at the sentient mass.
“Yeah, we’re in deep right now, Weavile. Its kinda like Celcius all over again. Just psychic flavored now. We’re going to need to work together on this one. Go! Night Slash attack!” Weavile’s claws started give off that dark type glow as the Weavile gave a hard sprint towards the lurching psychic mass. “Claw it deep and run with it!” I shouted. Weavile would lunge in, slamming his claws in then tried to drag it across the Psychic entity, trying to give it something to agonize over. As the Weavile ran, dragging his dark-infused claws, I would try to follow up, raising my hands up, driving icy spikes right behind it to go into the Ziton. An Ancientpower attack ready to detonate and cause all manner of havoc. We had to exploit whatever vulnerabilities we could on this thing and give Sub the time to do his thing.

The Heat Wave from Sparrow would do nothing as the searing winds harmlessly brushed up against the invisible walls, briefly making them visible in that moment of contact. As Terashi stood there though unseen weight would begin to accumulate upon him as invisible forces attempted to pull him to the ground.
Meanwhile Reno would ping pong himself through the ever shifting invisible maze of walls, building up energy as he hit each wall. About half the Counter Shots would make it to the Ziton itself, while the other half were blocked by more conveniently placed walls. Those shots that made it through exploded when they made contact and caused actual holes to be ripped into the monster causing it to wail out in pain in numerous voices.
Terashi would be saved however by Reno's quick thinking as he was Ally Switched not only out of his current location but also out of the invisible 'weights' that had gathered on him, giving the Psychic his freedom back though for how long it was unknown.
As for Reno the Ziton would be quick to catch onto his little game as Reno found more and more walls around him, his movement rapidly becoming more and more restricted as he was being boxed in to such a degree that the walls were beginning to squeeze against him, forming a proverbial, and with enough time literal, coffin.
While the Ziton adjusted more and more of its focus on Reno, yet still charging up and growing in size, Blizzard took the opportunity to launch his own attacks. Weavile would strike first, the speedy Dark type managed to slip right around the invisible walls undetected thanks to its typing and slashing through the Psychic blob. The Ziton however was still quick itself and formidable as it rose an invisible wall in front of Blizzard's Ancient Power, the attack hitting it causing the wall to turn pink and suddenly redirect and send the Ancient Power right back at him as it used a form of Mirror Coat it would appear. Invisible weights attempted to ensnare themselves around Blizzard's ankles to weigh him down and eat his own attack. Did it just like mocking Blizzard with his own attacks or something?
Sub would see this as his own opportunity as Valdemar dived down towards the Ziton, chi converter in tow. "Come ooon...!" Sub thought to himself as he held on tight, this was their chance to end this quick.
At that moment though the Ziton, now with a few holes pierced through its form and a deep cut slashed through it, bellowed in pain and rattled the ground beneath it. The Ziton would then expend some of its stored energy as it let loose another shock wave of wind as it repaired its form, now appearing as if it had taken no damage at all. The shock wave would knock Valdemar back as the Hydreigon began to tumble in the sky, Sub holding onto his back and the dragon trying its best to keep a hold of the machine. "Whatever you do don't drop it!" Sub called to his dragon as he began to right itself.
"Tch, this isn't going to cut it- Reno! Use Dark Pulse!" Sub commanded upon seeing Reno getting squished by invisible walls. His Hydreigon would let out a roar as it reared its man head back and then unleashed a pulsating orb of darkness from its maw, the attack sent flying at the Ziton and...it futilely exploded against an indivisible wall right before its form. The Ziton did not retaliate against Sub.
The Ziton, either by luck or intelligence, sometimes it was difficult to discern, decided that while it was ensnaring Reno in its invisible cocoon it would deal with his Alakazam as it was seized in a powerful Psychic grip and rose up into the sky, its spoons being stretched out and twisted around its neck as the Ziton intended to choke it with its own spoons and thus making it useless to Reno. With all that going on a tentacle reached for its Reno prey.

Crystal and her small group would quickly arrive, the hybrid going at a speed where her passengers would be able to stay on, but that’s about it, only slowing down when she knew she was close. Her own breath would catch as she saw it, shaking once again. “There… they are…”
“That’s the thing that ate you?” Apolla would sound nervous, eyes wide as she saw the giant pink eldritch being. Even the Espeon would shake slightly, her ears going practically paper flat against her head. “How did-”
“They took us over. Our body, at least. Our mind and spirit resisted as long as we could.” Crystal crouched down and attempted to figure out what to do when she heard a couple people call out Reno’s name. “What?”
— Tatooine would manage to get to the Pokéball, with Aile jumping off and grabbing it quickly. She was about to send out the Palossand when her eye caught sight of Reno. “Reno!” Merde, this was not good at all. Reno was boxed up now, Ter's Pokémon was currently proving to be ineffective, and while Blizz’s Weavile was trying to do work, it seemed a bit ready for Blizz himself. She hadn’t noticed it initially, but the heavy weighting had caught up to the pair of them at this point as well, the shockwave rocking them, but they weren’t blasted back too much. Merde… They were sitting Duckletts! Without too many other options currently, she’d finally send out Sarlaac. At least she was used to mostly sitting in one place. “Sarlaac, Shadow Ball that thing!” Aile was taking a chance that maybe enough attacks coming from everywhere could distract it enough for Reno to maybe find a way out. Hopefully. She was running low in ideas, though.
Sarlaac’s sandy eyes would widen when she took in the sheer size and power that the Ziton had amassed, nearly freezing in fear herself. However, there was something in her voice, along with something else the sentient sand castle couldn’t initially place, that kept her from completely freezing. Opening her mouth wide, she’d form a shadowy purple orb that she’d grow as large as she could before firing it off, hoping she was helping Aile as much as her trainer needed and wanted.
— Crystal would hunt down the people shouting, then searched for the red head their attention was on- Reno. And he was indeed boxed up like a nice little package, perfect pickings for the Ziton. Light burn it all! Every instinct was screaming at her to run, hide, get away! “Burn it all,” she’d quietly muttered, “Fear may be a state of mind, but it’s not one we can escape…” She’d close her eyes to finally pick up on something. There were Reflects everywhere. One of the moves she was innately familiar with. And could easily dispatch, considering that it was a part of her lightboard creation, and she had a way to get rid of it quickly. That was something she could do. Open a path. Tear down the walls.
Crystal would put her hand on Apolla’s head, transferring something over to her. “It was your Light Screen and Reflect in the first place. Keep yourself out of their reach. And if everything goes belly up, Get. Out. This is not the place we want to lose you. Either of you.” Her eyes would open and give Apolla and Cera a stern look, her voice still sounding shaky when she spoke, before she grabbed onto the side of the board and let herself reorient to the bottom of the board, all the better to push herself off faster. As soon as she was off of the board, she’d grow bright pink claws on both her hands and paws, her iteration of Psychic Fangs. She’d slash out in front of her almost blindly, using the attack to break any of the walls in front of her on her way down. As soon as she landed, she’d charge forward in something of a berserker rage, once again taking mad slashes in front of her to bring down any of the Reflect walls on her way to Reno. She was still terrified, that wasn’t going away, and lashing out like this was the best way she felt she could deal with it. However, there was something more important than her right now. It was the person that gave her this second chance in the first place.
— Apolla stared at her trainer, eyes still wide as she jumped off. “Uh… I never thought I’d watch my trainer go feral. Just.. wow. Uh… Oh, oh dear.” Her attention would shift over to Reno’s Alakazam getting choked out by their own spoons, shaking her head. “Right, I think she gave me control over this thing…” She’d think for a moment, jerking it forward for a moment before it stalled. “Sorry! This is going to take some work.... I guess we’re learning in the moment!” The psychic foxcat would attempt to try to aim the board towards the Alakazam, doing her best to get it close before attempting to help by mentally pulling on the pieces of metal away from one of Reno’s partners. Crystal was going to help Reno personally, maybe she should help his partner right now.

I sighed when the Heat Wave hit a bunch of Psychic walls. It reminded me of my time in Mirage Island, the day I acquired the Betyl Stone. While I tried to think of how to best approach the walls in order to find an opening, I felt something press against my body, growing in intensity over time. No matter how I moved, no matter how I tried to shift the weight, it stayed on me, and it brought me to my knees, and eventually laid me flat. Things only got worse from there. The pressure on my body started affecting the wound I got from the Black Hole Incident, causing my chest to burn and, before long, causing me to cough up blood. Right as I was starting to worry that this would kill me, the pressure disappeared. Standing up, I realized that I'd been moved. Not that I cared, being able to breathe again was good enough for me. "Yeah, I need to catch a Dark-type ASAP," I grunted. I recalled Sparrow and opened up my SNAG, looking through the Pokemon I had for anyone that had a Dark-type or Ghost-type move I could use. I immediately discounted any Fighting-types or Psychic-types I had, so Rala's Shadow Ball, which would be immensely powerful with her recent powerup, was out of the question. Her constant screaming in my head was bad enough. Something about our enemy scared her immensely, but I wasn't going to walk away while my teammates were in danger.
Speaking of danger, I realized that Reno was floating in the air. While I didn't doubt that he could probably do that on his own with his channeling, the invisible walls I saw for a second during Sparrow's Heat Wave were probably the culprit. Given what swinging wildly at the bubble monstrosity got me, I was probably better off finding a way to save Reno. To do that, I'd need to find a way to make the walls visible. Or, at least, a path through them. Heat didn't last long enough if this cold region. Water was too heavy, so a Water-type probably wasn't valid. Something lgihter than water... A realization dawned on me, and I immediately thought of Odo. If I managed to sweet--talk him into providing me with some noxious gasses, they should be visible enough to reveal a path through the invisible walls. For that to really work, I'd need a Steel-type Pokemon. Kefka could handle it, but would be be strong enough to carry Reno out. That's when I realized a flaw in my strategy. Reno, himself wouldn't be able to deal with the gasses on his own, and there's no guarantee a Pokemon could protect him from them in a way that'd keep them around to be useful as an escape route revealer.
As I tried to think of a way around this problem, I heard a voice approaching the battlefield. Looking up, I saw Crystal and realized immediately that I was looking at the trump card my plan needed. She was already headed toward Reno, too boot. This was perfect. I reached for Odo's ball, but stopped as I felt the ground under me shift. It was only then that I realized I was staniding on a Metagross. Reno's probably, given he was the one I had to thank for saving my life. "Sorry about that," I apologized. I then let Odo out of his ball and sighed, knowing this'd be a big ask. "Hey, Odo, I really need your help. I know you don't like using your Poison-type moves, but that's the only way I can think of to save him," I explained, pointing up at Reno. "That guy saved my life, and I want to return the favor. But I need something that can show how to escape the psychic walls. Something that'll last a while." I was going to say more, but Odo interrupted me by cheering. Judging by the look in his eyes, I had him at the mention of Reno saving my life. With that, Odo spammed Poison Gas, spewing out as much of the noxious fumes his body could manage, as we'd need as much of the stuff we could get to reveal a proper path out of the psychic walls. "Don't push yourself too hard, Odo," I told him. "Once it gets hard to make any more, you can stop."

I stared in confusion, a wave of déjà vu hitting me. “Oh is that-“ Before I even got to finish that thought, I felt something down at my feet, not seeing anything, but it felt like my feet was planted tight on the ground. Either way, that hesitancy got me blasted back by the blast wave of the Mirror Coat. I hit the ground in a backwards tumble for a very short distance before coming to a stop. “Augggh!” I moaned out in pain. “Urrraaghh…blast it…I don’t know if I should be infuriated because of the possibility this thing is toying with me, or flattered that maybe, just maybe that the only way this thing is figuring its able to stop me is with my own power. I think it’s a lot more of the former though, urgh…” I said, pushing myself up.
“Weavile!” Weavile shouted towards me.
“I’m fine!” I shouted back, quickly trying to think in the process. Before I could actually access what just happened however, the situation only grew from bad to worse when both Weavile and I got blown back by the sheer force of power. It wasn’t really for all intents a psychic attack; just a bellow of power that knocked everyone off on their feet. As I looked back up, I saw the damage that Weavile did looked non-existent now, even though that attack was effective. Was it regenerating? “What a pain…” I said. I then perked up, seeing Crystal coming into the fray, much to my surprise, but also perhaps to my great worry. That was only another target and we already lost her once to this blasted menace. Well…guess there was more motivation to hurry the hell up and take this thing out of commission. I pushed myself back up as Weavile did.
Anything I did in particular was going to blow up in my face, it looked like. Weavile seemed to be getting by undetected, though I suspect this thing knows that something is up, like perhaps there are more in the fray than its perceiving, seen by the extra barriers that are getting erected around this thing and not allowing the likes of the Dark Pulse through. The dark type Pokémon having an effect in this battle? I guess it would make sense. I never really got to explore that kind of possibility with Celcius; he was far to cunning to allow a type weakness to get the better of him. Even then, I almost wrote it off entirely when he took a dip in the magma caverns in the absolute deepest depths of the Snowpoint mountains, after no less getting Hinterbane introduced to his temple, figuring any of that would have killed him, only for him to comeback against me years later, vengeful at that. I suppose with this Ziton and Dark types, there is something there, but I didn’t know how to exploit it to its fullest. We needed something rather substantial against this while Sub tried to get the converter on this abomination. Is there any other weakness we can exploit?
All the same, this thing is apparently making barriers of some kind. We needed to open this thing up again. “Weavile! Brick Break! Clear the road!”
“VILE!” Weavile rushed in until he unintentionally slammed into one of the walls. Quickly recovering, Weavile started to pound away at the barricade, until one hard rear back and harsh thrust to try to make the barrier shatter. As Weavile went to do that, I stood back, two hands together, trying to ready up an Ice Beam and once it seemed like it was good, I would fire the chilling beam right for the Ziton. It was a futile act still, but I was only one part of an overall plan.

Brixie looked the Star grunt up and down, her eyes drawn to the large mushroom growing from their forehead. In spite of, or maybe because of, this fungal growth, they were vaping. A Monique more in her right mind might be disgusted. But Brixie was way more chill. Or at least she would be until the smoke drifted into her nose. Something about their vape, combined with the effects of the Fairy allergy, triggered a massive sneezing fit. The Zoroark hybrid involuntarily lost concentration long enough that she couldn't maintain an Illusion. In moments, the bright and poppy visage of Brixie was replaced by a short, kind of busty, undeniably hybrid Zoroark wearing a plain tank top and skirt. It was probably the first time she had not cast an Illusion on academy grounds. As she tried to help the Poison Channeler, her scrambled brain struggled to process what had just happened as she kept sneezing, trying not to expel fine particles on the students in her care.

Almost as soon as Crystal, Apolla and Cera arrived, the Mew would find herself looking up as they slowed down. She could feel an awful lot of Psychic energy. Like the land itself had become totally enveloped by it. "This... I've felt this before..." She remembered how the area felt after blasting XD002 in the Fairy Realm, the terrain feeling almost the same. She doubted anything like what she pulled happened here, but the sheer amount of it threatened to swallow her by comparison. But that feeling would go to the back of her mind when she picked up on it.
Them.
All at once, she'd become aware of the Ziton and the voices, the minds that made up the thing she'd only heard a name for before now. The sheer size did nothing to help matters as her form reverted out of shock and she curled up tight. She could swear she saw something like this before, but she couldn't recall such a thing otherwise. She was sure she'd remember a feeling or sight like this if so, but her mind wouldn't stop fixating on trying to comprehend what she saw, what she felt, what she heard, so whether or not she could remember quickly became irrelevant. If that wasn't enough, her mind would replay moments of old trauma that picked only the best time to come forth.
She didn't hear a word out of Crystal or Apolla, all she could think about were remarks from Ein about experiments and cages as her hands reached at her head. "No... don't put me back in there! I don't want to go back! I don't want-"
She'd be jostled by Apolla's attempts to move the lightboard, the stalling forcing her back to reality if only for a moment. She was panting as she looked towards Apolla, like she'd awoken from a nightmare... except the nightmare was still going. "You're fine... t-thanks," she replied, sighing and trying to get her mind back on the matters actually happening. Shortly after, she'd see what was happening to Reno's Alakazam and try to pull at the other piece of metal and keep it from choking them.
In the fray itself, Sol would see Crystal arrive, unsure how to feel about it. Having another who's actually faced the Ziton was certainly a help, but she'd been taken by it before and he was sure it wouldn't mind a second chance. But he had to try and find a way to fight back, buy Sub time to do his thing. The barriers he kept running into made it difficult, finally sending out one Pokemon he knew he still had with him. "Arnau, help me through these walls! ...Arnau?" His Gallade would respond to being sent out with shock at the sudden feelings and immense energy all around him, struggling to keep his resolve and looking to Sol for a second.
"My liege, have you gone daft? Do you not feel this? We should flee!"
"I do, and we can't," Sol said as he looked back where Aden was. "Not until we're all safe."
Arnau didn't seem keen on the idea, his resolve still faltering against the idea of fighting in a situation like this. But it didn't take much to see Sol had a good reason to fight, let alone the others. Slowly nodding, his elbows would extend and he'd try to sense out any nearby walls to strike through with Brick Break, giving Sol a chance to try and get closer and try to have some sort of shot towards the Ziton.
The Ho-oh hybrid keeping his distance, he'd send a Flamethrower once he thought he'd have an opening. While its effectiveness was questionable, he had to try something.
Aden would pick up on Crystal arriving, giving a concerned look. "Her too...?" He asked himself, unsure why he was so certain it was her specifically. Picking up on Cera too wasn't as unusual to him, but her fears soon followed and with everything else, another of his own would surface.
Could anyone actually fight this thing? Did they really have a chance here? What if it got Crystal again? Or Reno? Or anyone else? Big as the Ziton looked and felt, it could just swallow them all up. He had to do something, anything. "Come on... gotta... do something..." With some effort, he'd finally get to a sitting position, only for his Umbreon to keep close. The immediate area did feel less heavy with her and Poe's presence, but he couldn't shake his fear. He needed to get to his feet.

He had been hoping to garner the Ziton's attention since he knew he'd be able to contend with a majority of what it could bring to bear. Unfortunately, being extremely successful at that mission and then losing his easy backdoor to force some unpredictability into the motions led to his current predicament: the walls slowly closing in around him before all at once doing their best to bind him down. And since he didn't want to see how putting all of his built up force into his legs attempting to stop would go, he wasn't even able to grab at his last Pokeball on his belt before his arm found itself unable to reach down to open the device. Sending a glance over towards where his Alakazam would be in hopes that their wouldn't be any major disruption of their connection, he could see that it was likely the Ziton was now attempting to choke his partner out with his own spoons. And while Kaiden was fighting back against it with all his force using Kinesis, it left Reno without teleporting or the extra power boost he wanted at that moment. But he seemed to be getting help from.....Cera and an Espeon on a lightboard?
Snapping his eyes around to see if he could find her, he would soon lock eyes on the metallic form of his friend. He knew exactly what it took to recover from your first encounter with the Ziton very intimately. It was reassuring to see someone else bounce back like that, proof that he wasn't some little quirk who was just 'lucky' enough to be able to do so. And....was she being given a purple background? No, wait, that was gas. That was flowing around all of the walls very visibly.
Now, while he wasn't going to make Phemes spring into action with Ter on her back and potentially throw off the gas output his Garbador was doing, he could still use her to calculate. And he still had Nalu out on top of her as well, so an idea quickly came into his mind as the sight of a psionic tentacle began to extend itself towards him. Connecting his mind more directly with Nalu, he shouted, "Nalu, Thunderbolt!"
Watching the rapid build up and release of the Thunderbolt from his Raichu, Reno watched with glee as the bolt came sailing past near the upper corner of one of the visible walls. While he had wanted the power of a Thunder, he was having to rapidly calculate the exact flashpoint of the Poison Gas and where he could steer the electric attack to get it where he wanted without blowing up Crystal by accident. The power loss for the precision was necessary.
Skimming past the very visible walls, the electric attack would zing over Crystal's head and quickly zip its way in front of Reno's face, lancing through the tentacle before Reno focused all his power to keep the attack moving within the expanse of space he could identify and calculate would be movable. The bolt would zip around the Ziton a few more times as Reno attempted to continue electrocuting and slicing the thing with his little thread of plasma. But eventually, a voice would make itself noticeable in Reno's mind. 'Send it down at me. Maybe that machine will work better if its juiced up first?' Harleen's voice told Reno, the Wynaut giving a small wave from where she had managed to run to near the Ziton. Not bothering to ask questions, Reno would send the Thunderbolt on one last loop through the Ziton before it went flying straight towards Harleen.
She would intercept the attack with a Mirror Coat, already prepared for the move and doing her own figuring on how to send it flying. She had seen where the walls above had been from the Heat Wave and the Dark Pulse, so all she needed to do was bounce the Thunderbolt between them and Reno could offer a little steering to make sure it hit the chi converter. A loud thunderous crack would echo as the bolt of electricity impacted, taking an immediate and hard turn skyward as Harleen went bouncing away from the impact. Lancing straight into the air, Reno would do his best to steer the attack towards the chi converter like he had been told. While he couldn't exactly contact Sub given his lack of SNAG and Sub's immunity to telepathy, hopefully the general plan would be communicated by the vaguely pink glowing electricity steering itself in ways that electricity couldn't.
