Once his eyes had adjusted to the light Zak looked around, wondering if Cara and Remmy had gotten out of the cave safely. Spotting them he went over to them. "Cara, Remmy you guys alright?" he questioned.
Corbin exited the cave and paused off to the side. He allowed his eyes to adjust and then checked on Aaron. The little guy was scared from the mass amount of Zubats that had swarmed but otherwise was okay. He looked around trying to find Eliza. He hadn't seen her follow him into the cave and since he had told her he would travel with her he felt bad about them getting separated.

Phirxus walked around stretching about a bit. The little adventure in the cave was, well quite the adventure. The houndoom would have liked to take on all those Zubats but instead his trainer had to wuss out and run for it. Of course he followed like the faithful pokemon he was. Phrixus turned his head over his shoulder back at the cave wondering if he should return to take on the hoard.

Erika scowled silently to herself. Now that she wasn't drunk she was really beginning to resent coming.
Cara dusted herself off, getting off whatever she could. The bright Sun shone in her eyes and she knew if she didn't cover up her head it would really start to burn her. She reached into her pack and pulled out a cowboy/fedora type hat and put it on, letting Spirit climb back onto the top of her head. She looked back over at Zak and nodded. "Yeah I'm good, how about you two?"
Spirit was somewhat happy to be back in the sunlight. It may have been hot but it was perfect for her. She soaked it up, letting it pulse through her wings and body, energizing her.
Fifi shamelessly eavesdropped on the conversations around her. She hadn't heard about any ongoing experiments, though that didn't mean much. Something occurred to her. "Do...do you think the...whatever he was trying to cure...what causes it?" Fifi asked, her question coming out a bit garbled. "I mean, how did they get mutated and mean? Were they born like that? Did someone do it to them? Or...did they get...sick?" She swallowed. "Are our pokemon going to change?" Fifi asked, looking ill at the thought.
Cara overheard the vaguely familiar girl, Fifi if she heard her name right from earlier, say something that caught her attention. Would THEIR Pokemon change and mutate also? Her eyes widened and heartbeat quickened. "Well, my theory is that..it was humans that caused the mutation in the first place...that maybe they were experimenting on Pokemon and it got out of control..." She said, pulling out her piece of parchment. "Especially considering someone was after the guy who wrote these. But...if more Pokemon were mutated then...perhaps the mutagen became airborne...and if that is the case...what is it that is keeping our Pokemon from mutating also.....?" A slight fear crept into her voice and eyes at this point. She didn't know what she would do if Spirit mutated. "We have to find the cure." She said determinedly.
Magnolia was unsure herself, though the idea certainly brought a look of worry on the fourteen year old's face. She immediately plucked Rho off her shoulder and hugged him to her bosom, as if doing so would surely prevent whatever pathogen may be floating in the atmosphere that very moment from infecting him. "I-I . . . hope not . . . " she murmured aloud to Fifi. "I like Rho just the way he is." On the other hand, Rho had a few choice for his owner, one of them being that she was holding him tight enough to snap his spine in two. The Glameow struggled and hissed all he could, but Magnolia refused to let him go. Eventually, when his frustration turned into tiredness, did the feline ultimately give up and limp in the girl's arms like a ragdoll.
Valarie quietly trailed behind the group-- she was a bit too tired from all the excitement. She nearly fell asleep at the entrance of the cave, but she forced herself to stay awake and she waited until everyone returned.
Cai frowned at the chatter spawning from his conversation with Anise. "I don't think a disease would cause all of the different mutations in multiple species of pokemon. The personality change, the increased aggression, perhaps. But if it was also mutating the pokemon physically they would either display similar mutations or something more grotesque than what we've seen. I mean, small horns on a Tepig doesn't seem that unlikely. The Zubats and ratata were only displaying color variations which while uncommon, aren't unheard of outside the wastes. I've seen plenty of 'normal' pokemon here as well.
"The most likely scenario we're seeing is evolution, not just pokemon evolution, and breeding without human influence. These pokemon likely have lived in small colonies, separated from the rest of the population for a very long time. I doubt it's the result of a disease. In any case, these pages look severely old. If there was a disease affecting the pokemon at the time they were written, it would have run it's course a long time ago." Cai had granted Fifi and the others a rather long and sarcastic speech for himself. Maybe it was the sun.
Interacting with: Anyone, peeps talking about mutations
"Maybe the changes are e-evolution, and that's why the look different," Fifi said uncertainly. Then she frowned. "But...why are they attacking us, if whatever made them mean ran it's course? Pokemon don't act like this!" Fifi insisted, looking around like she expected another aggressive pokemon to attack. "That Tepig attacked a whole group of people and pokemon! And those Pidgey crashed the ship! That isn't normal!" Her lip trembled. "And...how do we know these pokemon are the only ones like this? What if all the pokemon everywhere are, except for ours?"
Cai nodded. "It's very possible that most of the pokemon here are like this. If they're not used to humans, they may defend territory, or be trying to scare off a perceived threat. If people at one point trapped them in cages as the note says, then they could have a learned fear of humans as well.
I agree, it's not normal, but I thought the whole Idea behind a tour of this place was the fact that it was unexplored and different?
I'm sure, back home the rest of the people and pokemon are fine. Seriously. Our ship crashed. OUR ship. The worst out there? Probably missing persons reports and hopefully search parties being organized."
Eros fanned the air as he left the cave with Vana. It had been full of Zubat excrement and not much else. He retrieved a handkerchief from his satchel and attempted to brush the dirt and more unsavory substances from his own clothing and that of his companion.
Dido was cleaning herself sulkily. If she'd realized the horrid kind of place the cave was, she'd have refused to go in at all.
But some of the others seemed to be talking about the strange Pokémon. Mutation...? "If Pokémon mutation is the mysterious problem we're supposed to solve, I can't imagine what we could possibly do to help," Eros commented to Vana.
