America followed the Trail of (Leslie's) Tears. She found soap. Perhaps the surviving mermaids had heard a dirty rumor.

The caferteria was a place full of gossips, one day, when the tiny girl sat down and had a nice chocolate drink, she overheard the conversation of two hunters. "Hey what do you get from the beach today?" "Guess what I am ******** lucky. See!" Hunter B hung a camera with his two fingers. "You lucky s**t! I am not bad, I've got some nice batteries" The two went on and changed the topic. The trainee asked if Z knew what they were talking about and Z inferred that they got some useful items on the said beach. Digging sand? The girl quickly finished her chocolate, put some tools into her backpack, located the location of the possible beach and got out.
"Z.....do we get to the wrong place?" After a long long walk, she arrived at the north-most part of the island, a beach full of rubbish everywhere. "M-maybe we can try?" After such a long journey to reach there, she wasn't going back without digging. She squatted down, picked out a fork she borrowed from caferteria and started gouging the sand away, like a kid building sand castle.
Her first digging wasn't a big success, but she was satisfied with a beautiful seashell and the soap.

While at first he thought he spotted something, he wound up pulling out a twig from the sand. Great. He was about as good at finding things than a blind man was in a maze.
"I should just enjoy walking at this point." That would be the only reward he'd find.

Oliver did not often go to the beach. It was one of several places he was irrationally afraid of. This time he had managed to come unaccompanied, and it was quiet as the waves rolled and broke upon the sand...

Spotting something half-buried in the sand, the kid dared get a little closer to the water's edge to see what it could be. He quickly shied away again when he realized it was just an unusual shaped rock sticking out, and decided that was enough of being brave for the day.
