Reboot sounds fine to me. Would I be subject to using only Chenglei if I dropped Laxus, or could I have a different character in the place of Laxus?

Yay, Laxus is a conundrum! And for reference, Laxus' post is going to be him laughing that Kensei got hit. I still feel if Hinote one lined his post that it would still be a more relevant post than mine...

Well, since it'd be the village closing rather than you just dropping the character, that ruling probably wouldn't apply so much. However, since you still haven't done anything with... Chenglei, I dunno. Course, that's along the lines of a closure of the village rather than a reboot. The reboot I have in mind would compress everyone into one village, in which case we'd probably have to rewrite the rules on second RPCs to allow them to remain a thing, at least until we have enough people for a second village.

~

And yeah, much as I hate to agree with a put down on any character's importance in a given scene, Laxus is a bit superfluous right now. XD
At least in the tactical sense, anyways.

Chenglei doesn't have much of a place to post. Most he could do is single missions until he got enough to learn from Yasashii. Since you guys are playing around in the Oasis outside of town which Chenglei can't get to currently. sweatdrop As much as I'd love to threaten Greg's NPC with castration once more, I think that ship has sailed a small amount.

I don't think Laxus had any tactical value except to be the human punching bag. Which I'd like to say, I called before the mission even happened. xD

Hrm. I don't really mind a reboot. Actually, I think it'd be a great idea. Right now, we're too spread out when, in my honest opinion, we only have enough active members to form one village.

...

Maybe that's what we should do for the time being? Reboot and then gather everyone into one village. We could either have some sort of history thing explaining why there's only one village or we could simply have the other villages exist and just filled with npcs. When more people join, we can then spread people out to the other villages, via whatever reasons we can come up with. Until then, we'll should limit certain assets, such as allowing only one or two demons and such.

Since the prospect of a reboot seems so likely, I suppose we could just discontinue the mission. It doesn't matter much to Tim and me, but it'll give Hinote and Kensei more time to work on the details of the reboot.

I'm sad that I can't find a decent evil clown, because I'm not certain if I want to actually use my Iuzuka and just have it be demolished by logic, or if I want my Laxus replacement to be a short circuited Lightning tossing genjutsu using jester. Maybe throw in a bit of a summoning, though it's summon would probably just be a deck of exploding cards with skulls on it. Or maybe an Ink user that has a deck of cards instead of a scroll with pictures on it for the ink artistry animation technique...

EDIT:
Scratch that, I've found one, though it requires my character remain in a suit constantly.

Urgh, I kinda wish I knew of more multiplayer games that I could play often enough at College. Stupid Wifi modem being in the building over from my dorms...

I think you guys should skip me. Since Kensei is in a lot of pain and angry to talk.

Kagetsukiko

Ummmm... Sora does know Kai, which would be the perfect solution to the problem. Laxus' clone has the same problems Laxus himself does due to being created after he was injured, and is also one of two things keeping Kensei from being able to cast jutsu, by holding his arm.

XD

I normally wouldn't have pointed it out in OOC, but if I hadn't it'd just have extended another round cause he'd have just asked if anyone knew Kai. Maybe even asked if they could let Kensei do it, since it seemed like he was going to when originally asked, or ask one of the many ninja wandering the market who have probably formed a crowd of onlookers by now. Or, of course, handed his glove off to someone else to hold the line so he could just follow by sound.

And it has been edited. Shikaku is (probably) free to reopen his eyes and take the lead out of the shopping center and to the Raikage's office.
PostPosted: Sat Aug 24, 2013 6:44 pm

I figured that the Clone doesn't breathe so Shikaku could have used it as a ride. Not to mention even if Kensei tried anything he'd be much slower, and missing a head since Shikaku would probably pull the wire in.

But yeah, It's probably better that shikaku gets to see. xD

EDIT:
I've finished the two NPCs, now they just need your approval.

Also, question on a possible character replacement for Laxus, What is the likelihood of having a gear junkie character?

Gear junkie?

Clones do breath. Even if they don't need air (Which I'm not sure whether to say they do or not, but they probably do.), they would still go through the physical motions of breathing, which would result in whatever bothers the user bothering them too. Only difference is that since they were made that way it wouldn't automatically destroy them, since their body believes it's supposed to be like that.

~

Not too bad in the main portions. Unless they're shinobi though, they don't need a shinobi info section, and don't get types either. Instead, add a stat list to the bottom of their main description listing their regular stats. Since neither can apparently use chakra, their chakra related stats would all be low as possible or nonexistent. Any they actually use, are up to you. NPCs don't have to follow the stat requirements of RPCs, and can be varied as is appropriate to their roles. If possible, scrunch them up some, since their "Profile"s would go in the same thread as their shop.

Now, you just need to do the building itself. Make sure to remember to include where in the shop each NPC is and what their roles are.

Something to keep in mind for future NPCs. These should be kept basic and easy to use, such that anyone can just wander in and take one over if needed without the difference being overly obvious.

Ah, and while I remember... Why is the smith a disease to those he likes?
PostPosted: Sun Aug 25, 2013 8:44 am

Mechanic would probably be a better term. Someone who specializes in making tech to fight rather than using their own bodies.

~

Okay, I just had it in the format to make it easier on me, I'll condense it down further in a bit.

Before I go into the outside description of the building, should it be Duplex, or single story? [The Smith is also going to live in the shop, though I don't think anyone is going to be going into the smith's living quarters unless they're robbing the place.]

Ah, sorry if I made one of them a bit hard to slip on like a glove. sweatdrop

Pal-sy, not cerebral palsy. It's like buddy buddy. xD I spent like 5 minutes reading through everything trying to find what you meant.

Ah, I see what you mean now. Yeah, a mechanic type is fine. A lot of the stuff I'm using with Shikaku now is things I wanted to make long ago for a techie of my own, but I never got around to it. I've been wanting to come up with an "Engineer" profession with benefits for that sort of thing, but haven't had it solidify in my mind yet as to how it should work. If you have any ideas on that, please share, because I'd love to add that aspect to the guild.

~

If you're giving him a living quarters, go ahead and make it a multiple story building, yeah. Though the way we're setting it up (Maybe) he'd be in the business district, and there's another residential district entirely, so it might be better not to. If you do make it two story though, just make sure not to put the forge on the upper floor. =p

Not sure whether either would be hard to run or not yet, just something to keep in mind. Try to avoid too many unusual special traits too, like the whole pseudo-konaga bit you gave the girl. Like I said before, these are typical civilians, nobody overly special, though the smith being highly skilled in his trade is fine.

It took me awhile to figure out what you meant by Palsy when I read it originally. I don't think the word actually means anything but the health defect. Your usage is either slang, not a word, or spelled some other way I expect. I dunno, it just confused me a bit and stood out as odd, which isn't a good thing to do in a description since it hinders the flow of reading.
